It was a pleasure to stay with sweet Charlie for 3 weeks. The apartment is in a great location - next to the center, 10 min walk from the beach and the woods. also, it is tidy and there is a great view from there... Charlie is adorable and I completely fell in love with him, he is cuddly and playful. I enjoyed his company very much. Great sit for couples -cause Charlie always needs company.
Excellent sit at Alexandria apartment, very convenient to Washington DC as it is just off 395. Micki is very obliging and wants sitters to be happy. She provides a very helpful guide that includes details about Pablo, who is very easy to take care of once you know his foibles. A mostly quiet and very friendly dog. Would certainly do this sit again. There is a 7-11 open 24/7, a cleaner, and a bank on the grounds. Highly recommended.
Nathan and Giulia's home was very peaceful and located at a beautiful location. The house was squeaky and spotless clean. The communication was very easy and clear instruction was provided. I had a wonderful time with sweet little Chunk! He's a little fluff ball full of joy and energy to play, once he's tired, he loves to nap in my lap. Thank you Giulia and Nathan for having me looking after little Chunk.
We loved house sitting for Pippa! She communicated clearly about how to care for her pets and kept in contact throughout our stay. Oscar is a happy, energetic dog who loves a chilled cuddle and a run in the park! Jasmine the cat is sweet and easy going. We enjoyed spending time with both of them and would recommend staying in Pippa’s lovely neighbourhood too.
Ginger was a pleasure to look after & we felt we went above & beyond looking after her & making sure she was always happy & safe. Adelaide’s house is very small & did have a few issues. We were told to use a dehumidifier as there was condensation in the house but underestimated how much there was. I actually got a message on my iPhone warning me my charger was wet anytime I charged my phone upstairs & other electrical items of ours suddenly broke which I suspect is down to all the condensation which was very worrying & was clearly a hazard. The shower was pretty much unusable as the drain was blocked with her hair & the water would fill the shower basin instantly & it was impossible to have a proper shower. A large dead or diseased plant was infected with flies which was rather unpleasant. We adapted to these issues , going to the gym to have a shower etc , putting drain unblocker down the drain & making the best of things ensuring Adelaide had a nice relaxing holiday. The house was left clean & how we found it, so we were quite taken aback to receive abrupt messages from Adelaide complaining that a pan was put back in the wrong cupboard & streaks were left on the shower. We felt this was bizarre knowing the condition of the shower & Adelaide was clearly aware of this. We were rudely accused of breaking the bathroom window which is completely untrue & tbh it felt like there was going to be complaints regardless & maybe TrustedHousesitters isn’t the right fit. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this house sit although Ginger is an absolute delight we did feel their was a lack of gratitude from Adelaide. We now the get the impression Adelaide would only be happy with a house sitter that didn’t use or touch anything at all. All of the outrageous claims Adelaide made are very far fetched & made up. Initially Adelaide was quite pleasant to deal with but then became very Ill-mannered which is a real shame.
