Our German Shepherd Blu is just 15 months old and we really didn’t want to leave him, but Brian and Alison made us feel very relaxed and reassured. They both were immediately at ease with Blu, who is a large dog and some people can find him intimidating, and Blu was also at ease and chilled with them. They both immediately made friends with him, gave him lots of fuss and cuddles, Blu was happy to fetch his toys to play with them. It was the horrendously hot weather whilst they stayed, they walked Blu very early and late to avoid the heat, I know that they were looking forward to long walks with him, it’s a shame for them but we cannot thank or recommend them enough as Blu and Jerry came first. Blu’s coat was shiny and soft when we got home, we told Brian and Alison that he loves being brushed, it’s obvious they spent lots of time brushing him, more time than we spend. Brian sent us regular updates and photos. Blu and Jerry are well chilled and relaxed since our return, it’s obvious they have had lots of cuddles and both been very happy. Our cat can be a bit mean to us when we return from holiday normally, but he has been fine this time, so undoubtedly his routine has been kept and he has felt relaxed. We wouldn’t hesitate asking them again. Brian and Alison were originally meant to only be sitting 1 week but our plans changed and they were excellent and agreed to extend their stay to help us out - thank you. Although our priority was Blu and Jerry, it was also very nice surprise to come home to a lovely clean house and fresh linen on the bed. Best of all they left us a lovely home cooked lasagne and chocolate cake which was delicious, and was very welcome after a long flight and jet lag. Hesitant to highly recommend them as don’t want them to get too booked up! :), seriously they were really fab and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Thank you both so much - hope you have some other lovely house and pet sits.
