Polly and her family are wonderful. It was such a pleasure meeting her and Jared. They have a lovely house in Highland Park, with a beautiful garden. Their little dog Captain is such a lovebug, I fell in love with him instantly, he is a bundle of joy! Watson the cat is the sweetest creature, he ran right up to me on the first day and put his head on my lap. He can totally melt your heart. Diamond, the other kitty, is more aloof and stays outside most of the time, but she will show her appreciation whenever you feed her with her favorite dinner. What a memorable stay. I miss this trio! The Highland Park area is great and hip, with a variety of dining options. Joy on York, a popular Taiwanese place with incredible food, was an absolute winner! I can’t recommend this sit enough.
It was so nice to meet and chat about everything with Penny and Nick.Communication by WhatsApp went always very quickly.Everything was wide beyond our expectations.First of all cat Sassy was adorable with her tiny and soft body and always wanted to cuddle. The house was good organized.Very big kitchen and bedrooms.Good internet and a very private and beautiful garden.Good parkingspace in front of their house.Wareham is a nice size city with a lot of shops and also a Sainsbury’s and a Coop. The environment is beautiful to see but also to drive through with a great view on Corfe castle.Studland has pretty beaches with very clear water. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope other sitters will have the privilege to stay here also. Thanks a lot Penny and Nick.
Such an incredibly lovely housesit at Robert's! The house is very comfortable, with a lovely roof terrace...but far more important: in it live two of the most sweetest cats...very cuddly, very talkative, very well behaved... it was just such a pleasure to have 'em around! Sweet talking in the morning, and when you come in, they waited at the door to say hi ;-) All went great, due to Robert's clear instructions; he invited me over the night before his travels, which was very welcoming and pleasant (a man with an interesting life!!). The house is well equipped, the terrace is beautiful (as said, yet again!) and Robert was kind enough to have me use his record player and DVD set. The village and beach is just fantastic. During the sit we've communicated via Whatsapp, which went excellent. Very happy to have housesat here, recommandable!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time in East Sheen looking after Betty, Drake and the fish. Maya and her family gave me a warm welcome on arrival, quickly showing me around their home whilst explaining their pets eating needs, habits and routines. An en-suite guest room was made up ready for my stay and I was invited to help myself to any food, drinks and wine in their well stocked cupboards whilst I was taking care of their pets and looking after their home. The house is in a leafy suburb surrounded by an enclosed garden with trees and wildflowers. Maya was very easy to communicate with and left very detailed information and instructions in the welcome guide. I kept in touch whilst they were away, and sent a couple of photos of their beloved Betty and they replied quickly to any queries I had. Betty the Beagle was well behaved on the whole, a little mischievous in nature and very affectionate. When she wanted my attention for food, grooming and strokes she would either come bouncing up to me, tail wagging or, put her paws up on my legs and hands to be petted. She would join me if I watched TV on her bean bag but otherwise for the most part she would languish on the leather sofa in the kitchen/ conservatory. Drake the bearded dragon was v easy to look after and feed as were the fish. The local area has plenty of beautiful walks - especially East Sheen common and nearby Richmond park. I slept well in very comfortable bed and the bathroom for the guest room has a fantastic shower. I highly recommend this sit and would love to return when the opportunity arises.
Melody was a fantastic host. She made me feel so welcome in her home and she made sure I had everything I needed to ensure a smooth stay. Melodys home was clean, tidy and warm with a very comfortable bed! It was close to amenities and a short train ride to Central Cardiff. Cissi was a lovable affectionate cat and once she warmed up to me, she was my little shadow. Bobby is the boss cat and he comes and goes as he wants. He did ask for a pet or two which made me feel very special. Great sit altogether and lovely to spend time with Cissi and Bobby :)
We've had a fantastic sit at the house of Diana and Geraint. Zulu and Amba, the Ridgebacks, are adorable dogs. We really love them and we miss them already. The rules about feeding them were easy, Diana explained everything and wrote down all about the food. The Jack Russell was a funny little creature, and always hungry! Taking care of the chickens was no problem, even there was a wounded chicken and a sick chicken, there is an automatic door, so you don't have to open and close the henhouse, morning and evening. We enjoyed the landscape, the views around the house, while having breakfast or dinner. If we get the chance to come back for another sit we hope the pool is ready!! Sent | Jun 8, 2023
