Jason and his family were great from the get-go! His two boys were respectful and kind with our house and especially our dog Daisy. Communication was great and we received pictures of what Daisy was getting up to over the weekend. The house was exactly as we left it and Daisy was super happy! Would be more than happy to recommend Jason and his family for housesitting and would have them back anytime. :)
We left our dog (Morris), cat (William), our cottage and our sourdough starter in the hands of Siân and Tim for a couple of weeks in January. Siân and Tim had just sold their house and were thinking about relocating to North Wales, so it seemed an ideal house-sit for all concerned. We initially had a correspondence by email and then had a good long telephone conversation with them a month or so before the house-sit. Siân and Tim seemed like a really nice, responsible couple (they are both ex-firefighters!) from the outset. They are outdoorsy and active, and that’s really important for Morris, our indefatigable spaniel. We kept in touch as the sit approached and made arrangements around both their availability and our dates, which worked out really well, as we were able to arrange to meet them and handover everything in person. When we met Siân and Tim, we had absolute confidence that they were going to be brilliant pet and house sitters – Morris bonded with them straight away, and we left with him jumping happily into their car as they headed off to meet some family for a walk (it was Tim's birthday). Tim and Siân kept in touch with messages, videos and photos throughout their stay, and Morris clearly had a brilliant time with them. Tim clocked 150km of dog-walking over 2 weeks and Morris (who will have done even more…) clearly loved the runs on beaches as they looked at coastal properties. William was on antibiotics while we were away and we were really grateful that they managed to get him to finish the course (no mean feat). We were also really pleased that they messaged us if they had any house or pet-related queries during their stay. As we planned our return on what turned out to be a particularly stormy weekend, they were really kind in keeping in touch in case we were delayed, but in the end we arrived home just after they had left, to a beautifully clean house, very contented pets and food in the fridge. They’d assiduously fed the birds in the garden during their stay, and Tim has shared some beautiful photographs with us. We've kept in touch with Siân and Tim since they left, and really hope they will settle in North Wales so that we can see them again as friends – and, if we can tempt them away from wherever they end up, we’d jump at the chance to have them back! PS. The sourdough starter was really lively when we got back – great job, Siân!
