My housesit at Linda's beautiful flat was above and beyond my expectations. Chewbacca is the sweetest guy. He's all about love. I was a little apprehensive about getting him out for his walks without any accidents. But that wasn't an issue. 7:30 am he would rest his head on my bed and down we would go for our morning potty. The area is hilly, safe, and beautiful. There's a park close by that was our "go to". Even at night the area around Linda's flat is very well lit, always a few other dog walkers out and about. Chewbacca is great with commands. I took the opportunity to work on the "it's okay" and comfort him when he would hear noises in the building...by the end of my stay he would hear a noise, do a little growl then come over beside me for some comforting pets. I loved my stay with him. He's a very easy dog. Linda has her rules in place and he knows what they are❤️ Linda's friends and neighbors were always available and everyone I met was so kind. Feels like a little community and they all look out for each other. And everyone in the building knows and loves "Chew.". Chew has a dog walker that comes M-F and that was a blessing as I had recently fractured my foot so I wasn't good for more than a few blocks several times a day. Linda's building also has an elevator and that was also a blessing in regards to my foot. Linda was a great communicator from day one. She even did a video walk through with me since we never met in person. Her instructions were very clear and thorough. Her home is a dream, efficient, spotless and very organized. The guest bedroom was so comfortable, finest linens, very comfortable Queen bed. There is also a full bathroom in the guest room. Be prepared to be spoiled with her amazing soaps, towels, and walk in shower. I told Linda I felt I was staying at the Ritz. Everything is within walking distance. Coffee shops, grocery stores, yoga studios, gyms, restaurants and shopping. Parking was a bit tricky. Just pay attention to the signs as far as street cleaning days and time limits. Like most of San Francisco. I never had any issues and was always able to find a parking place. I would welcome a chance to stay with Chewbacca again. If you are lucky enough to be asked you won't be sorry.
House-sitting for Bexi was a fantastic experience. Bexi is such a loving dog who loves walks, her cow teddy as well as lots of treats. She reminds me off my own dog Benny she is very loving but loves a sleep by her self as well. She's beautiful I will miss her lots! Karen and Max her owners are so lovely, kind and welcoming. There lovely home in St Andrews is beautiful and minutes drive from the East Sands, West Sands and gold courses. I would highly recommend this Housesit to anyone! 🙂
What a lovely place! So spacious and the house had all the amenities you could want or need to truly relax and enjoy yourself. Penny is such a sweetheart, she was shy at first but we had a ton of fun playing fetch in the yard and it was easy to get her to interact with a few treats, even during her shy phase. Would definitely do this sit again and recommend as a great place to explore Denver from.
Jen and Leah are the perfect hosts! They had everything outlined and super organized - Leah even prepared and shared with me a PDF presentation with all the info about their house, neighbors, dog needs of course and living on Bowen Island! I really liked the idea of one day overlap, showing around the place and making sure that I feel comfortable and relaxed during my stay (well, the house is absolutely lovely as you can see on the pics and it felt like a spa staying there ;). Bowen Island is a special place too with absolutely amazing views (right from the living room and all bedrooms!). An awesome location to recharge, restore and connect with nature, i.e. during the walks you feel like you've landed in a rainforest, there's waterfalls, creeks and streams everywhere and from the cliff you can even see whales from time to time! This is a paradise for both people and dogs, and yes, Vera and Miso are great personalities too and they really complement each other well, it's either 'the ball' or 'the hugs' ;) I highly recommend this place and the hosts! Great stay and great memories, thank you Jen and Leah ;)
Jo and her family are wonderful! The house was gorgeous, tidy and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. There is a great garden, kitchen and living area with TV. Shai and Shuki were very sweet and easygoing cats, and I enjoyed getting to know them and giving them scratches. The communication was great from Jo, and my partner and I had a wonderful time catsitting in her home!
Scout was a joy to look after. He walks well and knows when he's close to the park when he can play 'find'. He's unlikely to lose interest!! When at home, he'll tell you when he wants to play by bringing you a toy to toss around or to hide. The hiding is great fun, as sometimes it takes him minutes to find it. He's a good sleeper, happy to sleep on the floor beside you, or if you let him, he'll be happy on the bed. Sue's home is in a great location, off- Street parking, walked to the shops, post-office etc. The juke-box was fun too! Lots of walks nearby, and Scout loved the train trip and day out. Scout travels well in the car, and loved visiting new places, including pubs where he was very well behaved.
