Kent and Kathy were wonderful house sitters! They took excellent care of our nearly 14-year-old Lab, our top priority, and they maintained our house in tip-top order. We live in a close-knit community where everyone seems to know what’s going on. When we returned from our travels, more than one neighbor commented on how much they liked our house sitters, how friendly they found them, and how well they were caring for our dog. Those were just the kinds of testimonials we liked hearing. We returned from our trip late in the day to be greeted by a beautifully prepared, delicious meal that they had made for us. The host: Jake gave me a genuinely warm welcome to his comfortable and tidy home. He left me with clear instructions and always responded to my messages. The house: House is a hidden gem in a great area of London. Lovely rooftop terrace. Convenient location to the tube station, bus stop right outside the house. Fantastic pub is close by. Loads of shops, cafes within walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The cat: Puppycat is a very sweet independent cat. She is very easy to look after and delight to spend time with. Although Puppy is independent she loves company and cuddles. Puppy is extremely affectionate and will sleep next to you purring contentedly. She loves being brushed. Puppy is very vocal and can easily support the conversation. I had a great time. Definitely recommend the sit.
I had a fantastic time dog sitting Thor and Bobby! Both furry friends are absolute sweethearts, especially Thor who is not only fun to play with but also exceptionally well-behaved. The house itself is stunning, complete with a spacious garden where Thor could roam and play. Joanne and Alun were incredibly helpful and informative throughout my stay, always available whenever I had a question or needed assistance. Highly recommend! ☺️
Louise suggested a video talk before the sit was agreed and was attentive to showing me the main part of the house and kittens by video, which I thought showed transparency. We met the day before the sit, so I could meet Mabel and Ted, see and whole house and ask any questions. Louise also showed me Menston village and nearby Guiseley, which both have railway stations, by car. Ted and Mabel are beautiful, very endearing kittens. They are very curious, love their food, getting and giving a lot of affection and attention, as well as their toys/anything else available, and doing their best to catch moths and flies. They needed watching carefully while I was cooking particularly and eating, because of their inquisitiveness, especially where food is concerned. I was given a lovely, large attic bedroom for the stay. The house was well equipped and beautifully decorated. The relaxing back garden, with a wood behind it, was very enjoyable to sit in. The area really felt like a peaceful, (apart from roadworks at times, but the disturbance was fairly minimal), relaxing place to stay, something of a sanctuary. I was able to enjoy space and privacy. At the same time, Louise told me the neighbours on both sides knew the cats and could help with any difficulties. I met one of the neighbours, who was very friendly and another neighbour quickly alerted me when Ted strayed into her garden, a few doors down, which he's apparently starting to do now he's getting a bit older. He quickly returned with the shake of a packet of cat biscuits! There are convenience stores in Menston Village, about 15 minutes walk away, as well as plenty of shops, pubs and cafes in Guiseley, only slightly further away. I enjoyed walking along bridal paths, past trees and a duck pond to get there. Ilkley is a 12 minute train journey from Menston and has some lovely walks, very good shops and places to eat. A visit to Ilkley Lido, on a warm day, was particularly enjoyable, with a view of the Chevin mountain while swimming. (Luckily there's also an indoor pool there for colder days!) Louise was easy to contact when I had any questions and happy for me to have a couple of relatives, who live nearby, to visit. I found it a very enjoyable and often relaxing sit and would certainly recommend it.
It was such a pleasure to housesit for David and Kerin. We enjoyed walking in the wonderful and huge urban forest with Fonda the dog. Everything we needed (groceries, post office, etc. ) was available within 10-15 minutes drive, but still had a “small town” feeling to it. We would love to housesit for them again. Thank you David and Kerin for allowing us to be part of your family for 5 weeks. It was great!

We had a superb time in Fortworth. Sara and Eric were very welcoming and relaxed. They gave us all the information we needed to look after their dogs Zelda and Milo who were awesome hosts from the moment we arrived. In terms of pet care, Zelda and Milo are joined at the hip and entertain each other all day but they also love to go for a stroll and have a cuddle on the sofa in the evening-a real pleasure to spend time with. The dogs welcomed our our pup and all three got along brilliantly. We were here during an incredibly cold snap but the house is mega cosy and we were invited to have an open fire in the lounge anytime we wanted. It’s a quiet suburban area within striking distance of all the great spots in Fortworth.

I needed a last minute dog sitter and found Goldrush Kennels on Google. Mary was so nice and has a great setup for the dogs. I was nervous initially but she was so kind. I doubt I’ll ever be in Heber city again. But would definitely use her again if needed
I was recommended to this kennel by a family friend because she’s been using Goldrush Kennels for awhile now. It was my dog’s first time staying there while we took a mini vacation. The facility is inviting, just like any ol’ farm, with a large yard for dogs to run around. When we came back to pick up our dog, he was very happy and seemed fine. The price is probably the most affordable out of all kennels I’ve called around. Will be using this service again in a few weeks!
We took our dog here last Summer & will never be taking him back! My dog came home with a big chunk of skin off the black part of his nose. He was shaking terribly when we picked him up not to mention where he was kept was complete trash! I was just hoping he wouldn’t get sick! He was freaking out when we picked him up. He didn’t feel safe, almost none of his food had been eaten. He was a nervous wreck! When we got home he was super clingy & wouldn’t get in the car to go anywhere for weeks! The owner was very nice, but she did not do well making sure the dogs felt comfortable or were in a clean place. My sisters dog was shaking terribly as well when she picked him up. Breaks my heart 💔
Mary is great with our dogs and very accommodating with our reservations and last minute changes. I love the facility. The kennels are large and warm in winter and cool in summer. Highly recommend.
Experience with Gold Rush kennels was phenomenal.. My partner and I was in Heber City I'll be there to enjoy the sights and go on the Heber Creeper and our room was not ready and we did not know what we would do with our beloved pooches. So by happenstance we called the Gold Rush kennels and we were told that they had space available and to come down ASAP. The dogs seem to be happy when we came by to pick them up and they were safe and they were well cared for. We highly recommend Gold Rush kennels 5 Stars
Our fur baby is not always sociable and yet she does great with Mary at Goldrush. We sometimes get called away last minute and Mary has always been available. The structures are of decent size and it's clear Mary loves all the pooches who take up temporary residence with her. Highly recommended.
Owner was nice and caring however, the driveway is long and had not been plowed (it had been over a day since it snowed). The walkway to the kennel had not been shoveled. It bothered me that shot records were not requested (I had them with me), and not that it all interfers with the care of the dogs but I was not a huge fan of her kennel itself. I guess I prefer brick and mortar as it feels cleaner to me knowing the floors can be bleached as opposed to gravel.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience. The owner is kind, clean and I knew my dog was in amazing hands. My dog is recovering from an accident. The owner, without being asked to, brought my pup inside into a kennel at night so she wouldn't get cold and achy.
Really quite dirty where the dogs are kept. My dogs stayed there not even a full 24 hours and both have to be taken to the vet due to getting really sick while staying here. Definitely going to make sure my dogs are kept somewhere much cleaner next time... Wouldn't recommend this place, even if it's the only choice.
Very nice lady that runs this business. I've taken my dog to her for grooming since she was a puppy. She does a great job and isn't super expensive.
I cannot express how amazing Puppy Palace is! Amy is a MIRACLE WORKER! We have a beautiful little Malti-Poo that had a really bad experience at a groomer before we adopted him that traumatized him to the point that he would go PSYCHO if anyone tried to groom him!! He had to be sedated by the vet and buzzed as an only option remaining. Amy told us to bring him in and despite all our warnings and concerns she quickly and expertly calmed the dog and us!! 🤣 She has been working with him regularly and we have seen a night and day difference, his whole demeanor has relaxed even when he’s just at home relaxing. He is quieter, more patient with the kids and more gentle. He’s always been a great dog but thanks to Amy he’s now a perfect dog!! (Well almost!). We can’t recommend Puppy Palace enough, they love the animals they work with and it shows in the results!! 🙌👍🐶
Amy did such an amazing job on my dogs grooming! I wanted her hair cut super short for the summer, but still cut to fit her and she nailed it!
I was excited to hear about a new groomer in town as we desperately need one here in the valley. Booked an appointment online which was very easy and convenient as you can browse the days and times available. Walked into the store and was greeted immediately with friendly smiles by the staff. After checking in my 14 year old Shih Tzu, Lulu, I met with the groomer herself. She asked how I like her hair cut and any other specifics they needed to know. Lulu is 14 so she has some older dog issues like hearing loss, moles and isn't so spry anymore but they did not bat an eye at those issues. The groomer scooped Lulu up and her tail was wagging shortly after being in the groomers arms. It was nice to know that she was cared for. Upon pick up I was asked if there was anything that I wanted "changed" or if she looked good. Not only did she look great, but she smelled good too. Couldn't beat the price for the services and customer service. Give them a try, I think that you will enjoy the service and your dog will too!
This is the cutest little place! I took my 8 yo dog in for her first ever groom (I’ve always bathed her myself but now I have a toddler, iykyk) and they took such great care of her. She looks amazing and they didn’t exactly what I asked of them! Great customer service! My girl will be back!
