Tara and Luke were awesome housesitters. They sent us lots of photos , took our dog out for loads of exercise, and clearly loved our pets. They were very self-sufficient and managed their stay without much guidance. In addition they left our house immaculate. I would recommend them without hesitation!

Ying has a beautiful apartment with a huge luxurious bedroom and great views, located in a perfect area to explore the city great restaurants down the street and a lovely pool and gym! Eve and Ivar are so sweet and very calm for kittens! They require just a bit of daily play and sleep most of the rest of the time. Ivars potty condition was no issue for us we kept our things in the bedroom and clean up was a breeze as Ying has tile throughout the house. We miss them already & are grateful for the awesome experience 🥰❤️

Felicity was incredibly welcoming and took the time to introduce me to all five of her cats and their particularities as well as teach me about the various plants in her garden and how to tend for them before she left. She also generously left me goodies for during my stay, picked me up from the station, and lent me her car for use during my time at her house. Thank you!!

Her kitties were incredibly sweet, each with their own distinct personalities and quirks. Grimth, though initially putting on a big show of independence, was a big softy who would purr loudly when I was near and let me get one second (and sometimes two!) of pets in. I got a couple surprise “gifts” from Pollock and Puck (read a dead mouse and bird). Pollock was also very sociable and particularly chatty during mealtimes (letting you know around 5/6 that it was time to get up to feed him) and Puck, while wary, liked attention too but only on his terms, and loved spending time in the garden! Lady Agapantha loved sitting with me on the couch and was a big fan of consuming Pollock and Puck’s “surprises”. Arancia was more discreet but loved one on one time, licking the water from the sink and curling up on the bed with me at night! It was such a joy to be able to meet all of these incredible cats and get to spend a peaceful week in the idilic Gex. There is hiking, castles, and Annecy and Geneva nearby to explore though the town of Gex (an easy 15min walk) was lovely to stroll through too.

I had a great time watching Luna and Romeo in Madeleine's beautiful Santa Barbara house! Luna and Romeo were so sweet and great companions to have during the holidays. And it's always great to be in Santa Barbara for some relaxation (and get-away from LA time!). Thanks so much for having me, love to come again!

I loved this sit.

Betina and her family have such positive energies and this is clearly felt in their home. As her family was packing up to leave, Betina and her daughters were warm and engaging and took the time to learn about me and make me feel welcomed.

The room that was provided for my stay was beautiful and inviting. The house has great light and feels refreshing and the backyard is very peaceful with a water fountain and beautiful trees.

Bella is also one of the easiest dogs to care for. She is loving and relaxed and is content to snuggle for hours or lay in a patch of sun. Feeding is very simple and took very little time and energy. The area is lovely too, so walking Bella is easy and enjoyable.

I am already planning to go back because I enjoyed it so much.

We had a wonderful long weekend sit in Nathalie and Terry's peaceful home near Tavistock looking after Noodle, Fleur and Coco.

Nathalie accepted our application when we first joined Trusted House Sitters last Summer. Communications were a delight throughout the 7 months before our sit. Helpful, detailed notes in the Welcome Guide about her pets and home which she kindly tailored specifically for us. Excellent directions.

We arrived at Terry and Nathalie's elegant home to a warm welcome and delicious meal. We spent a lovely evening in conversation with them both which gave Noodle and the cats a chance to get to know us.

As a rescue dog, Noodle is still anxious around new people in his own territory, jumps at loud noises and dislikes gates. He has a sweet, gentle character, walks perfectly on the lead and is full of energy/happiness bounding up and down banks and amongst the trees in Lydford Gorge. He was equally excited to be out on Dartmoor. Pleased with praise when he returns to the whistle, he also let us know when he wanted/deserved treats. Noodle sits on command, takes his treats gently (after a dog nose/human fist bump), asks politely when he wants to go out in the garden and sleeps (on the sofa) through the night.

Noodle is a mixed breed with herding instinct which meant we needed to supervise him when sheep were around. Still a young dog, he is learning to restrain his instinct to gather up the sheep out on the moor and to stop organising both cats at home. We put him back on the lead if he strayed too close to any of the grazing flocks. Noodle loved meeting several other dogs and people when we were out. Some dogs growled at him and vice versa generally when they were on leads or in a confined space along a path. Other owners were understanding.

Fleur, the smaller of the two cats could easily hold her own with Noodle. Sweet natured with a strong character, she spent a lot of time heading in/out the garden, visiting the next door neighbour, following us out to the garden and waiting for us to return from walks with Noodle. In the mornings/evenings she joined us downstairs, asking to be stroked and for the water tap to be turned on. She mainly hung out on the kitchen island. She liked to be brushed. Briefly. Round her neck. Highly intelligent, communicative little cat who is affectionate on her own terms. She rarely stopped walking/pacing downstairs then slept snuggled up with Coco in their joint bed on the landing upstairs at night.

Coco, the bigger cat watched us inquisitively from a distance for the first day and would come downstairs to sit on the window ledge if we were out with Noodle. She disliked being greeted by him however 'Gentle' we reminded Noodle to be and retreated upstairs immediately he came too close to her. He always seemed disappointed when she got down from her window ledge and left the room in disdain. Coco padded about happily in her own domain, played with her various toys, explored our room, was happy to be stroked (not brushed) and slept a lot in her bed.

Nathalie and Terry were incredibly thoughtful Hosts. It was an absolute pleasure looking after Noodle, Fleur and Coco. We very much appreciated being trusted with the care of their sensitive pets.

Beautiful home with an extra comfortable bed. Dark skies and quiet. We slept deeply and woke up with the morning light. Returned home feeling rested.

Highly recommended in every respect.

Idyllic location nestled between the moor and Lydford Gorge. Bus stop at the end of the drive.

We are delighted to be going back this Summer.
