We had such a great time with Stevie. She’s about the most friendly and cuddly little meatball you ever did see. She loves chasing toys and adventuring around the local parks. Kerry and John have created a lovely home that was a joy to stay in. It truly felt like an oasis in the city. We can’t wait to see Stevie down the line.
Thank you Kevin, that was just what I needed, a perfect place to relax. Not only did I have Violet and Edith to keep me company and busy, but your house is so cozy and relaxing my stay went by so fast. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the island and it’s beautiful views and meeting your friendly neighbors.
We had a great time caring for Lucy and Murphy and this beautiful home. Sheri and Steve are so warm and welcoming, and made us feel at home. We spent lots of time chatting all things travel and experiences with Steve and also enjoyed a delicious home cooked meal prepared by Sheri. The home is in a quiet area with wooded yards. It had everything we needed for our stay including an awesome espresso/cappuccino machine! The guest bedroom is beautiful with an en suite bathroom and large windows with amazing views of the woods. Lucy is a beautiful and loving girl. She wants lots of petting and love. She gets very excited to go for walks and will do anything for treats! She's a major cuddler especially on the couch. At bedtime, she will curl in her bed and sleep all night... just a sweetie! Murphy is a gentle giant. He loves to watch over the house spending his time outside on the deck or yard. He is watchful and will bark whenever he sees or smells something. He is on duty 24/7! He also enjoys walks and transforms into a puppy with excitement whenever his leash was picked up. Both doggies are sweet angels and we loved spoiling them.
My sister and I cared for Coffee and the cats while Patricia and her son were away. Coffee is an absolute sweetheart, and the cats were timid at first but did start to warm up to us by the end of our stay. We didn't have any problems with them whatsoever and really enjoyed caring for them and hanging out with them. Coffee is a cuddle bug and we loved it! :) The location is great whether you have a car or not, though you may prefer to have a car if you're not big into walking or aren't comfortable taking the bus to get to the Metro station. There is a bus stop less than a block from the house that will take you to the Silver line, and they are a short walking distance to a large grocery store, restaurants, and other amenities of downtown McLean. We felt very safe staying here and appreciated the quiet neighborhood and privacy! :) Patricia was transitioning some rental properties when we stayed there, so we didn't use most of the spaces shown in the photos because they were being used to store furniture and other things that would be going into other houses. We used two of the bedrooms upstairs which were spacious and comfy, and spent most of our time in the dining room and back den hanging out with Coffee while remote working. :)
Once in a while, you feel like you were the luckiest person ever! Such was the case when we met Clint and Holly. They set the bar pretty high! Even before meeting them in person, their response, communication and guidelines were impressive which really gave us peace of mind accepting the house sit. Their hospitality and genuine concern made it easy to feel welcomed, at ease with the responsibilities and have a clear understanding of what was expected. Now let’s talk about Poppy and Ruby. How delightful those two! They are very loving and want to be with you. They definitely are “people dogs” as they say. Taking care of them was easy and rewarding as they stayed close to us all the time. So so sweet! Clint and Holly go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The home itself is beautiful and very comfy. If you have an opportunity to house sit for them, go for it!
Amazing sit! Highly recommend!
