We’re very happy that CJ and Allie could come back for a second time to look after our home and two dogs. What’s terrific about them, is that beyond their respect for our house and property, their main interest truly seems to be the opportunity to play with and love some nice dogs. Our house was cleaner than when we left, and our pets were spoiled from the fun and attention they received while we were away. We’ll absolutely be inviting this couple back again!
Lauren was awesome! She clearly cares deeply about the pets she watches, and you’d be lucky to have her watch yours. Her communications were excellent - not too much, not too little - and I always felt super confident with her at home with my pups. She stayed until I actually returned (it was an international flight, so just in case), and the house was super clean! The boys were clearly happy and comfortable with her. Lovely pets, lovely people, beautiful home and property. Caroline and John were very helpful, and we had good communication. The pets had great energy. I thoroughly enjoyed taking care of them. Seren is a beautiful Old English Mastiff; very large and well trained. She listened well to my commands when we walked and people loved to pet her. Both the dog Seren and the cat Chappie loved plenty of rubs and were easygoing. Chappie was friendly and independent and we had a nice meditations in the morning sun together. The location has plenty of sunshine and it was fun to be with the pets outdoors on this fantastic large property. WIFI worked well, download/upload speeds ranged 260/130-78/86. Their home is very quiet at night, and quiet in general, with the pleasant sound of happy children playing outside during school hours. The hosts also shared helpful suggestions for places to see and eat after I finished the housesit. After completing the petsit it was exciting to visit the southeast Algarve and then the Southwest Algarve. Faro, Tavira, Olhau are an easy 45 min drive. And Lagos, Sagres are further and fabulous. The Algarve is filled with such stunning scenery, seafood and history, plus friendly people. I highly recommend this housesit. (For Pet sitters who are strong enough to handle a dog of this size.) I would be happy to return in the future and spend more time with these lovely animals in this lovely place.
