It´s really difficult to write a short review for this breathtaking 6 week sit. Maybe words like great, excellent, fantastic, amazing are enough ;-) We had a wonderful time on this lovely property and enjoyed it so much that we didn´t leave it often during our sit. Our 8 year old son also loved it so much here. All the pets are like the farm: perfect. The barn cats are very easy to take care of, like the chicken, the dog Schoko and even the horses. I loved to let out the chickens every morning and than saying good morning to Luna and Dude and spend some time with them. We enjoyed the hiking trails every day with Schoko - the really best dog ever! We had quite a lot cool, nice and lovely dogs during our sits, but Schoko (sorry for the others) IS THE BEST. She is a real dream. Luna and Dude, the horses, are also pretty lovely. We never had horses before, but we all loved them after a few days and it was so interesting to interact with them. We finally felt like farmers and enjoyed it very very much. We also met some people in the small town and took part in different community activities, which was so lovley and interesting, too. Finally Sabine and Ulf left clear instructions and we had some interesting and funny days together with them. Especially a last funny and loooong evening *hahaha* before we left. For sure we will come again!
Becca, Dan, their girls and their wonderful neighbors Sheila and Mark went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I felt so at home. Molly was an absolute joy to sit. She has so much energy but that's to be expected! Although she's still learning, for the large majority of the time, she was extremely good at following my commands even during the first couple of days of her getting used to me. Wonderful people. Wonderful pet. And wonderful community. Highly recommend. 💜
Cosmo and Ollie are the sweetest puppies, I had amazing time with them! You just need to learn to give them the right medication and treats. But the instructions are clear. The puppies like cuddles and being pet. If you like little puppies - you’ll have a great time:)
Such a wonderful housesit. It is always a lovely treat when you land somewhere new and get treated with a warm welcome. Sarah is the perfect host with great communication. She picked me up from the train station, toured me around the house and garden to make sure I knew where everything was; plus had a prepared meal ready for me in the fridge, including leaving me with all the basics, so I did not have to shop and cook on arrival. Her home is comfortable and very lovely. It is a short walk from the village, even shorter walk to the CoOp. Here, you have great footpaths and a very good pub for after a beautiful hike in the Cotswolds. However, the best part must be...Carrot and Basil. Basil has got to be the the cutest co-work I have ever had and Carrot is a lover that comes in to cuddle often. The two of them would hang out on the sofa while I worked on my lap top. Basil followed me about and was rather offended if I did not carry him upstairs when I went up for anything. haha. So, he became my little shadow. They are absolutely easy going and a pleasure to take care of. They really just need food and love...with their cuteness, soft fur and great personalities, they got plenty of love. Some of the easiest pets to look after. I highly recommend Sarah's Housesit if you get a chance. Basil, Carrot and Sarah are great hosts. They are the types that make this site so good. Thank you. Looking after Smudge and Batman was a delight for us. The bunnies are happy roaming around their play area or sleeping under the lounge. The house is stunning and just a 1 minute stroll to the beach. Salt estate cafe and shops is a few minutes walk and coles is very close drive away. This is one of the best pet sits we've done.
