We really enjoyed our stay at this home. Karena was very attentive and thorough in explaining everything. Kosmos, Aspen & Charlie were a pleasure to care for. They have such unique personalities and are very well-behaved. This home is like a haven and has a warm atmosphere with such a caring character. Very peaceful with lots of trees on the property. Karena is quick with her response to questions, and we would absolutely recommend sitting for Karena.
Cosmo is an absolute delight. He has a gentle, loving temperament and is respectful to humans and other dogs. The walks from the house were very muddy after the rain so wellies were essential. However, the stunning views and woodland walks surpassed our expectations. Cosmo is fabulous on and off the lead. He travelled well in his crate in the boot for a short distance to get to other beautiful woodland. He easily worked out which dogs we met were up for a run, and Cosmo loves to run! Gemma was kind and easy to communicate with and their home was comfortable and had all the facilities we wanted. The bed was particularly comfy and cosy. The family arrived home in the evening and as it was too late for us to travel on, they kindly let us stay in their annexe for the last night. I would recommend this sit to other house sitters.
If you love the simple life in a beautiful rural sitting with a gorgeous affectionate dog then this is the sit for you! A log burner in the living room to cosy up to on cold days, walks directly from the door, beautiful countryside all around, close to Totnes and only a short drive to Torquay- 'The English Riviera'! Daisy is such a sweet little companion and Hayley is a very friendly and welcoming host! :-)
Charlie and Sammie are the FUNNIEST, SILLIEST pups ever! They love playing fetch and showing off their speed and agility. And WOW are they fast! Although our sit for them was brief, we quickly saw how sweet they are - especially when they snuggled on our laps in the evening and put themselves to bed where they snored the night away :). Bob and Betty were really great and welcoming, sharing all of the key information we needed for a successful sit. We would LOVE to sit for them again when we are back in town.
This was our first sit and we couldn't have asked for a better start! Cyrus and Helle are such great people and wonderful hosts, they supported us all the way with messages and welcoming us. Very lovely and caring couple with the most amazing furry pups. Mona and Walter are simply adorable creatures, they made us company the whole time, well...Mona did, Walter is more independent but, he always came to check on us and to get some cuddling. Taking care of Mona its not hard, she’s easygoing, requires two walks, one early in the morning and one in the late afternoon just avoiding the sun and warmer hours, specially in the Summer time. After the walks, feeding her, and brushing her fur and tale(she doesn’t like it, but you can distract her or cuddle her while doing it and you will be fine). As said before, Walter is more of independent gentleman that also requires some fur brushing because of the field grass that gets stuck in fur, but feeding him is even easier, with and automatic feeder that you just have to be aware of refilling it. The house itself is beautiful, cozy and very big, not located near the historical center, it’s in the suburbs of Rome but it wasn't a problem at all. Since we managed to get the bus and then the Train in Aurelia Stazione easily. We woke up every day with the silence of a quiet neighborhood, literally waking up with the nature alarm of a rooster crowing, or if you’re late for the morning walk, Mona will probably wake you up(this was one of the few times she ever barked). Both of them, Mona and Walter are well behaved and so sweet that I doubt you don’t fall in love with them at first sight. It was 2 weeks of really joy in a wonderful place, surrounded by nature, in a historical city with the best furry companies! Thank you Cyrus and Helle, for opening the doors of your home and trusting us to take care of your pups. We’re lucky you have chosen us and we hope to be back someday 😁
What a wonderful time in East Wenatchee! A comfortable home with two delightful doggies and a cat we hardly ever saw! The hosts, Jerry and Kathy were very accommodating and easy to communicate with! It was lovely and we would love to be asked back again!
