We had a wonderful time at Iain and Patricias house. The location is great, close to nature and within reach of Edinburgh city centre. Bracken is such a treat to look after and loves cuddles! Iain and Patricia are such lovely people and it was easy to communicate with them if we had any questions. Would recommend this sit.
Tom and Ann are gracious and generous hosts. I connected with them and their sweet fur baby, Buster, immediately! They have a beautiful, comfortable home in a magical setting just south of Sedona. Buster loves his walks at the neighboring golf course with amazing views of Bell Rock and the surrounding red cliffs! Prepare yourself, because once you come here, you will never want to leave. Liz was accommodating and ready to help with any issues. Both cats are sweet and low maintenance, very affectionate. And otherwise Columbus is a big interesting city. A pleasant stay.
Our three days at Fiona and Nick's place were relaxing and peaceful. They are just a short walk from really beautiful and quiet forests. We really enjoyed taking their two dogs out to explore and once into the forest, we only ran into a few horses. If you appreciate nature, fresh air and a unique area of England, this is a great opportunity. The animals (3 cats, 2 dogs) were very easy to care for and we felt at home here. We slept very well and each had our own comfortable bed, a big bonus after being in many places sharing a too small bed for too long. Nick and Fiona are extremely interesting and kind, we wish we had a bit more time to get to know more about them.
Pam & Simon live in a beautiful sleepy village with walks in every direction. The public footpath network in the UK is brilliant. Beautiful rolling hills and fields and gorgeous historic villages everywhere. Their semi-detached 3 story stone cottage is full of character and absolutely gorgeous. Bowie is a very energetic 2 year old red Labrador with endless energy. He is great of the lead and a joy to see him living his best life on our numerous long walks in the countryside. We think he might have been a fish in an earlier life as he loves the water and will jump in for a swim at every opportunity. He is a bit of a handful on the lead and in built up areas but was getting better with every walk we did. The 3 Maine coons are beautiful also although they did spend most of the time exploring outside until it was meal time. Regardless they loved a good head and neck scratch. Being long haired cats they did attract lots of burrs and stuff needing a good brush at every opportunity. All in all this was a very enjoyable Housesit and highly recommended. Thank you so much Pam & Simon’s communication before and during the sit was excellent and they were kind enough to pick us up and drop us back to the train station. Thank you both so much for accepting us into your beautiful part of the world.
