If Elizabeth applies to housesit for you, sign her up without delay! She and her well-behaved dog, Birch, kept my fur baby from being lonely and took her on hikes and adventures. I was very glad to have Birch along to keep my Pawmina company. But that’s not all: Elizabeth left the house spic and span, washed the towels and sheets and remade the bed, and even cooked a delicious pot of soup for us to eat on our return! Elizabeth is a terrific house sitter who clearly goes above and beyond the usual. We’d consider ourselves lucky if she’d return to sit for us again.
Farhan is a fantastic house sitter! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a down-to-earth, kind, and caring pet sitter for their home. We have three small dogs (around 6 lbs) and he took excellent care of them. They can be a little nervous/ timid around new people, and more so around men at times, but the dogs didn't show any of that nervousness around Farhan! He was gentle and respectful of their space and they warmed up to him immediately. I got a wonderful text the first morning that I was away that they cuddled up with him at night - showing how quickly they adjusted to him as their caretaker. I was able to meet Farhan in person before I left on my trip and I was able to have a wonderful conversation with an ambitious explorer. He is a delightful person. Upon my homecoming the house was very clean and the dogs were happy and relaxed. I can't ask for anything more! Thank you Farhan for taking such wonderful care of our three dogs and our home.
You are in for a treat when you sit for Natalha and Augusto. Cookie and Sandy are super easy and full of character. Prepare for games of hide and seek with Cookie where you will discover the fastest pug in the world. Sandy is very chilled and both dogs are independent and easy to walk. The location of the apartment is fabulous to getting around the major sites of Amsterdam and I really appreciated Natalha’s generosity in letting me borrow the bike and rail cards for trains etc. A great stay and thanks again for a cool housIt
I thoroughly enjoyed sitting for Harrison and Kanika. The apartment was small, but absolutely perfect for me and, in the depths of a Canberra winter, it’s warm and cosy atmosphere was most welcome. Oscar and Lola are a delight and I miss them already. Be prepared to give Oscar lots and lots of cuddles (Lola not so much 😂). Communication with Harrison and Kanika was just right and I would happily sit for them again.
Great Kids (cats), great location, cozy place! Recommended
Moleque is the sweetest soul. You'll be hard-pressed to find a kinder, gentler dog. Often there's an adjustment period while the pet acclimates but not for Moleque. He loves humans and was attached to me from the beginning and became my constant shadow. His favorite place was on my lap but he was quite content to rest in his bed by my feet while I worked at the desk. If you're in the house, he likes to keep you in sight and will bark until he finds you. He's well-trained and takes about 4 walks/day. He's great with strangers. Like most pugs, he's food-obsessed and snores. He's so funny, I wish he could talk. Koji and Thaisa are very generous, thoughtful and laid-back. I felt they had my comfort in mind. Their house is lovely and located in one of the few areas in SF where there's actually parking. The area is very hilly but offers great views and is located near many well-known restaurants. There's a large Whole Foods supermarket about .5 mile away but if you don't want to walk the hills, there are small local markets and bodegas just around the corner. The sitter sleeps in a guestroom with a futon that pulls out to a queen size bed and lots of closet space. Thank you, Thaisa, Koji and Moleque for a lovely stay.
I had a delightful dogsitting experience. Both dogs, with their playful antics and affectionate nature, made every moment enjoyable. They were well-behaved, extremely sweet, and lovable. The home itself was cozy and well-maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The walkable neighborhood added an extra layer of charm to the experience. Exploring the area on foot was a pleasure, with tree-lined streets and beautiful homes. An added bonus was that it was very convenient to get to anywhere in Austin. Communication was seamless, and any questions I had were promptly answered. Ann and David were great and accommodating. I look forward to staying in touch with them. I left with fond memories and a genuine appreciation for both the dogs and the wonderful neighborhood they call home.
This is a wonderful and at times challenging gig, but I hasten to add that the 'challenging' part has to do with the adorable Bodhi having been 8 months old when I was sitting. He's a big, smart, gorgeous and very engaged dog and you will need to be engaged, too, for another few months I expect. If that sounds wonderful--and to me it was--this is the gig for you because along with Bodhi's lovely self, the hosts are THE BEST, the house and pool are beautiful, and you are one block from a kayak or SUP put-in. Pensacola is fun.
