This was a fantastic dog sit. Jacquie and Steve warmly welcomed us into their beautiful home. It was really helpful to arrive in the afternoon as we were able to go with Steve and Norman the dog on his usual beach walk with lots of ball throwing. Jacquie cooked us a lovely meal in the evening and we had a good chat. The next morning Jacquie showed us the circular walk from the house that she does with Norman. He really enjoys finding the ball in the long grass when you’ve thrown it, in fact he makes his own game up of hiding the ball himself and then running around ‘looking for it’ and finally finding it. He’s very good at waiting at the side of the road until you say ‘CROSS’ to cross the road. He’s very well trained. When we were doing some walks close to the cliff edges we did put him on a lead for my peace of mind. He would always want to be with us and in the evenings would snuggle up to us on the sofa. The house was very clean and spacious with everything we needed, our bed was also really comfy. There’s the most AMAZING view of the sea and Lundy Island from the house. We ate at a lovely pub one night which is just a few minutes walk from the house. In a nutshell you’d be hard pressed to get a better dog sit with such a lovely dog, people, house and location. We’re missing Norman already, thank you so much. X
Sushi and Kimchi were absolutely adorable. So sweet and playful, and very low maintenance. We could watch them play for hours. Violette and JP were really communicative, their flat was modern and Surbiton was such a lovely area - walking distance from plenty of shops and restaurants, but quiet and serene. We enjoyed every second of this pet sit and would highly recommend Violette and JP as hosts.
