Yozelyn (and Della) were amazing. They exceed all of our expectations. They are very kind and capable. Yozelyn's standards are high, like mine :). We got daily updates (that we asked for) with pictures of our pets. Our pets didn't seem to miss us at all! Yozelyn and Della were truly grateful to be staying at our home and we were truly grateful to have them there. We came back to our home and pets looking better than we left. It was a pleasure to stay at Justine and Gray's. The house is immaculately clean and comfortable, and well located in Courtenay close to the town centre. Justine and Gray provided clear care instructions, including optimal kitty petting guidance. They clearly know and love their cats very well. The best part of the sit was spending time with Trouble and Nugget! They're both very approachable and friendly cats, quick to reward you with lovely purrs and the occasional snuggle if you're lucky! Loved the kitty time I got with those two. Highly recommend Justine and Gray's house for a great sit in the Comox Valley.
Our sit with Bella and Buddy for Suzanne and Vince was so enjoyable we asked when we could come back before it was even over. Tucked away in the woods in Northeast Durham right on the banks of Falls Lake, their light-filled, spacious yet cozy home was restorative for our souls. With plants everywhere inside and out, you will feel like you've been transported to a forest retreat center all for you. We were very comfortable in the home and bedrooms, and the kitchen was a cook and baker's dream. Bella and Buddy are easy and loving as can be. As an African-Grey owner, I expected Buddy to be loud and sassy like our Dante, but he was the sweetest, most docile parrot I've ever encountered. With patience, he allowed me to pick him up and pet him, and he loved just being spoken to. He was most verbal in the early mornings when the outside birdies were starting to wakeup and sing. Even when he didn't want me to pick him up or pet him, he never bit. This is a bird who's been raised with care and attention! Bella is a love bug and wants nothing more than to be where you are or on a long walk exploring the forest. I loved our walks as they motivated me to get out more, and don't be alarmed if she takes off after something! She'll meet you back at the door eventually :) Not very food motivated, we'd have to remind her to eat her breakfast sometimes, and she will INSIST on a belly rub :) She was a constant companion to us who was so hard to say goodbye to! We met with Vince and Suzanne a few weeks before the sit and they were so warm and welcoming, we felt an instant friendship. They didn't hesitate to answer questions or help of we needed something, and we would 100% recommend this sit to anyone, especially those looking for some peace and quiet. We look forward to coming back soon!
