Alice
An ideally located sit with the ideal host and an ideal pet!

Alice has a gorgeous home, in a very cool location. I couldn’t have asked for better communication and the welcome pack explained everything perfectly. The fact that Alice is also a lush person is a bonus.

I had a lovely time in Camden with Obi, who is so well trained and easy to look after. Alice explained all I needed to know with regards to his routine and needs and it couldn’t have gone smoother. He’s very cute but low maintenance - he really was great.

Diolch Alice and Obi - hopefully we’ll meet again. I’d be thrilled to return x

We went a few days early to meet Sebastian. Rachel and Luke spent some time showing us around and helped us get familiar with things. They are a truly awesome couple! They love their baby and we were happy to step in so they could enjoy some time together away from home without having to worry about him.

Sebastian is so special. He has the most beautiful coat of any cat we have ever met. Although he doesn’t sit in your lap, he will be very close by to keep an eye on what’s going on. He’ll let you scratch his cheeks and he really likes to be petted. He will quietly sneak away when he’s had enough. He is a real champ when it comes to his medications. There’s an easy to follow regimen that keeps him happy and healthy. He is such a good boy all of the time. He is one lucky kitty cat.

Rachel and Luke’s apartment should be featured in Veranda magazine. It is spectacular in every way. Each room features the very best of everything. They have a beautiful view from the 10th floor. We also have to mention their building and its many wonderful places to read, visit, relax, and just take in the surroundings. There are a million things to do nearby with lots of great places to eat and shop. Downtown Dallas is only a few minutes away. This was definitely a 5 star sit!

Whether it was Bingo that needed us, or us that needed his gentle, loving nature at that particular point in time, it would be hard to say; nevertheless, the outcome was an entirely wonderful experience for all concerned. Sharing our bed, he would be waiting patiently every morning for us to open our eyes knowing that when we did, the fun began. Whether it was playing hide-and-seek with his blankets, the endless ‘kiss chase’, out in the forests surrounding the house or much further afield on our daily adventures, Bingo’s delight and curiosity in everything we did was contagious and there was never a bad day when he was around. Our first night away from Bingo was not the romantic reunion we had been anticipating - more a night-long lament about just how big, and how cold, the bed was without him curled up between us. Although Bingo loves playing ‘fetch’, I doubt that he will ever relinquish his balls or frisbee afterwards - he is an only ‘child’ after all and so extremely possessive of his own stuff - but, in terms of learning new tricks, skills or commands, the possibilities were endless. Seriously, watching Bingo walk through the forest behind hundreds of pheasants without harming a single one, was probably the most impressive display of control we have ever seen in any dog, let alone one with such a genetically strong prey-drive. Way to go, Bingo!

With regards to our hosts, Steve and Ainslie, their thoughtfulness and generosity was inimitable. Arriving a day early we were treated to a wonderful meal in their local pub, met a few of their friends ‘just in case’, took Bingo on his evening walk and went to bed feeling blessed at having met such a terrific couple. Waking up to deer roaming the beautiful grounds, plenty of food in the cupboards to ‘keep us going’ and an electric Jag waiting to be taken out for a spin, all secured earlier suspicions that we had hit the jackpot! But, while the home was stunning, inside and out (it is a castle after all), its sole purpose was to provide an environment that was to be enjoyed. Nothing was too precious that it was ‘off limits’ and we were encouraged to treat it as our own. While many homeowners say this, not many would be comfortable with friends and family coming for tea; but, Steve and Ainslie were delighted that we had taken the opportunity to enjoy their home as much as they do. With croquet, archery, electric bikes and anything else your heart may desire, there for the taking, this sit deserves many more stars than the five shown and - given that it rained for all but one of the 24 days that we were there - this is quite the accolade. You don’t meet people like Steve and Ainslie (or dogs like Bingo) everyday and they will forever hold a special place in our hearts!

Maria’s home was cozy and peaceful. She had a gorgeous screened in patio that Darwin was able to go in and out of as he pleased, which was an incredible spot for us to all relax together. A quiet and beautiful neighborhood. The sounds of nature were very vibrant in a wonderful way!

Maria was a fantastic host, welcoming us in the night before the sit began to introduce us to Darwin and help us find the things we would need during our stay. A very sweet person. Darwin was such a playful and fun cat. He is very friendly, curious, and enjoys his chin rubs! Our stay here couldn’t have been better!

Thank you for trusting my girls and I to stay in your amazingly beautiful home and take care of your chickens, Banjo and Clancy. They are two gorgeous pups; Clancy watches and takes in the world around him, such a gentle and kind nature; he reminds me of a wise old man. Banjo was oblivious to the world around him, besides the odd leaf that scared him, a carefree and playful pup full of energy that loves company and cuddles. 🐶 The chickens were very easy.
The property was fantastic for exploring and walking the pups, we also enjoyed paddling and swimming in the damn.

There is an IGA approx 5 mins drive away & a Coles supermarket/chemist etc approx 10 min drive away.

We loved your property and the entire area of Bilambil is gorgeous. We hope to return again soon.
