Enjoyed our house sit over Christmas Dorothy kindly said my brother and his wife could join us too. We had problems with central heating pump Leaking. Didn’t want to worry Dorothy as she was away abroad, the neighbour next door came and did a temporary repair. Sadly Dorothy did not appreciate my not worrying her about it till she came home so this was not the best house sit we have done
We had a lovely time staying in Jenny's beautiful home and looking after Scilla she has such a personality. Communication with Jenny was good before and during the sit. We would highly recommened this sit
Linda and Andy were wonderful hosts, making feel at home instantly. I not only had thorough details about Archie's needs but they also provided lots of refrigerator space and other welcoming touches. Linda's kitchen is also great, and I enjoyed cooking while there. Sitting with Archie during the holidays made for a sentimental season, because I've had many beagle or hound mixes over the years. He reminded me of so many of them: hysterically bossy with a touch of stubborn. Despite his age, he's also a bit playful once I figured out a couple ways to entertain him. He's mentally very sharp too! I highly recommend visiting w/Linda, Andy & Archie. Please know at nighttime, it's best to actually go out in the back yard with Archie. Otherwise, he doesn't always do his final business and might have a little accident that easily cleaned up. I look forward to the possibility of visiting again.
Dusty, Peaches, and Groucho live in a clean modest home located about 8-10 minutes from downtown Salida out in the beautiful farm country. It’s peaceful and the house is situated in a sage field across from some large farmed fields. Down the street are giant cottonwood and Pinon trees lining the irrigation ditches. It’s a lovely place to walk with Dusty. The three animals are all such precious souls and they love to cuddle with you in bed overnight. Dusty initially barked a lot when I first arrived but within 5-10 minutes he settled down and got used to me. He’s easy to walk and if off leash, comes back when you call. Peaches also comes when you call. Groucho is an older cat so he generally sleeps most of the day. They’re all pleasant, loving and easy animals to care for. I already miss them. Jenni and Rob were quick to respond to me when I had questions or needs and were otherwise pretty ‘hands off’, trusting me to their lovely home and pets. The kitchen is small but well appointed and had everything I needed including a blender and instant pot. Jenni and Rob are very neat, clean, and organized. I would definitely return for another sit if invited back. It’s also a great location for access to Monarch ski area and the biking along the country roads is beautiful and peaceful.
I had an amazing time getting to know Frank the Tank! He truly is an amazing boy who loves treats, attention and cuddles. Tracey was very easy to communicate with and made sure my stay felt like home. Her home is located in beautiful East Austin where you have east access to coffee shops, grocery stores and more. Tracey’s home is beautifully decorated and you can tell she put a lot of care and detail into making her home. I highly recommend this sit!
Guiseppe and Annika were welcoming and generous hosts, and their house is lovely and comfortable. Willow is a highly intelligent and fun dog - we bonded quickly and she snuggled up on my lap in the evening. Nearby Epping Forest is great for walks and there are some nice places to visit in Leytonstone. Highly recommended.
