I enjoyed my stay at Nancy’s with Puppette, she is an easy dog to care for. She is a friendly dog, and did not show any signs of anxiety with me. While most of her walks are fairly short, she also enjoyed longer walks into the city too. Nancy’s place is very walkable with a Supermarket very nearby and downtown just a short walk. Nancy went out of her way to be accommodating and considerate during my stay.
Summer and Belle were a pleasure to look after (Mia went to a bird hotel for the week) and great company throughout my week in Tufts Cove! They're at different stages in life, so Belle has a lot of energy and playfulness, while Summer is much more relaxed with an occasional bout of zoomies in the evening. They're well behaved indoors and on walks and very social; I had no problem with them being uncomfortable or nervous with me from the moment I arrived and met them for the first time. Their feeding and exercise routine is very straightforward, and although Summer is on daily medication, she takes it with her food without any issues. Mallory gave me a walkthrough of her home, which is within easy driving distance of Dartmouth and Halifax, and close to bus lines, and was easy to contact throughout the sit. I'd be happy to spend time with these girls again and really look forward to my next visit!
We had a very successful sit with Trixie and Sukki during December 2023. The two sisters, Yorkshire terriers, were delightfully open and immediately grateful for affection, walks, and special treats. During the day they are lively, but knew to keep quieter after the outside escapades; during the walks they were full of energy and excitement, which makes you feel as if you are doing them a special favour each time. Although each different in character, they share the same instincts, and get on exceedlingly well together - unless vying for attention, when a stern word might be required!. Kree, Steve and the two daughters were welcoming, warm and generous. They provided us with all information in advance, and reinforced it during hand-over. We would love to come again, and carry out the same sit. The location is interesting. The island boasts the highest mountain in the country (an extinct volcano), probably hundreds of museums of various sizes and interest, as well as myriads of hiking trails, parks and water falls. Although there a good bus network, think about hiring your own transport to take advantage of all that is on offer on this island of dramatic nature and history, and attention to cultural heritage.
Michelle has some cool cats! They are friendly and interesting. The home has a beautiful view of the mountains nearby and enjoying the hotub is a must. Communication was easy, home was comfy and overall a great experience
Bill and Debby have a wonderful collection of pets. Fender is so enjoyable to play with. Lola is such a sweet and lovable cat. Ebby enjoyed night-time cuddles. The house was immaculate, clean and organized. I had excellent communication with Bill and Debby throughout my stay. Highly recommended. Elyse and Sean are both lovely and showed us the ropes when we arrived at their flat. Their home is in a fantastic location, close to public transport,restaurants and supermarket. There are also plenty of places to walk Pickles, their dog. Pickles is very easy going and friendly with her own wee personality. Their cat, Turnip, is a joy to spend time with. Finally, Critter the rat is very chill and friendly. We’d definitely stay here again and recommend this sit to others :)
