I met Charles, Katie, the kids and Daisy in their beautiful home before the sit to make sure I was good to go for the sit. Truly enjoyed my one-week sit with Daisy! Daisy was easier to care for than our dog, LOL. I truly enjoyed my walks and runs with Daisy. She have so much personality and once she warmed up to me was constantly by my side. I stayed in the first floor room that had a HD TV. Katie was a great host and the area is great. 100% would sit again - definitely recommend this sit.
Samantha was very welcoming and made me feel home immediately. Halo is the perfect dog, very calm and docile, he is absolutely loving and lovable. Ragna is the true baby, funny, active and playful. They both gave me a delightful experience. I highly recommend Samantha as a fantastic host and her two babies for all the fun and love they gave me. I surely will miss them.
Staying at Mary’s home in Saint Augustine was fantastic! I had so much fun and enjoyed every day! I wholeheartedly recommend Mary’s lovely home and her wonderful pets! They are a Joy! Mary. Mary and I had a very pleasant chat on the phone before we met, so I knew I would feel comfortable at Mary’s home. Mary immediately welcomed me into her home and introduced me to her family, her home and her pets. It was awesome! Mary is extremely organized and has an easygoing and warm personality. She took great effort and time to show me all around and give me all the information I would need. She took me to the local restaurant for dinner and we had some great conversation and more time for any additional questions and answers.. The House. Mary’s house is beautiful, and backs onto a canal with nice views. It has a very peaceful setting and lots of room to relax indoors and outdoors as well. The house is a short walk to a beautiful beach, and my morning walks on the beach were a delightful way to start each day. There are many nice places to eat close by as well as a short drive north to the City of St Augustine or a drive south along the ocean. The Dogs. Jet and Cassie are the cutest, most adorable Scottish Terriers you will ever meet. I absolutely loved those little guys! They were both very friendly right from the start and extremely well behaved and affectionate. Cassie loves to play and Jet is a bit more reserved and likes to watch. They both are wonderful companions and liked following me around the house and always sat with me on the couch. The Birds. Gracie and Cupid were extremely entertaining and fun. They are beautiful birds and each has his own personality. I enjoyed chatting with them both and they seemed to bond with me more each day. I had never cared for birds before, so this was a special treat for me. I was particularly struck with how intelligent these birds are. It was fascinating! I really looked forward each day to discovering more about each of them. This was a wonderful house sitting job for so many reasons. I recommend Mary and her adorable pets with the greatest enthusiasm!
We had a wonderful, relaxing time staying in Svenja's home looking after Monty. Monty will be your best friend in no time at all, who will always be nearby or curled up on the sofa giving you some company. Svenja's home is very comfortable, warm in winter and only 5 minutes walk to the grocery store, plus the bakery :). Also, Bremen is an easy cummute and the old town is a must visit. We had a great time staying in Svenja's home and looking after Monty. We would highly recommend this sit to others!
Schonett and Jeff were wonderful hosts, and Ralph and Libby are some of the easiest and friendly pets you can imagine. The house needs some tending to between the birds, shoveling, and keeping the masonry heater going, but it just add the the experience. There is plenty of solitude here and the stars are incredible at night. I thought about leaving four starts just because we did have someone write a slur on our car while it was parked at the bottom of the hill. Our rental wasn’t quite capable enough to back up in the wet and heavy snow exactly where it should have been, and I guess someone didn’t appreciate that and left us a nasty note. The event left us nervous and anxious. This is avoidable if you’re parking all the way up the road in the summer/fall, or if you just take extra care to hug the snowbank in the winter time. Even so, writing slurs on someone’s car isn’t appropriate. But alas, this is entirely out of the hosts control so if we’re just rating them and the house it’s five stars. Six if we could because the house is a literal slice of heaven and VERY secluded. Would definitely come back if given the opportunity again!
