We were thrilled to be invited to Geraldine and David's beautiful home and stay a few days with their gorgeous animals. The location is one we had been told since we moved to Ireland "You must go there," and now we know why: It's truly stunning. The house is a wonderful, beautifully designed, comfy place to be when the rain comes (and it will!) as well. It's a big place, and it was spotless when we arrived. What a treat! We loved the house, but the pets were the highlight of our stay. Daisy dog is the sweetest girl. She loved to be near us and would let us know when she wanted to go out, and she ate her pills like a champ. She may have the softest fur of all lab/border collie mixes. Speaking of soft: big boy kitty Digga is silky, too, and after a day of hiding out, he was super cuddly and social. Teddy slept most of the day and we didn't see him much, but he loved to stretch out by the warmth of the super wood-burning stove while we chatted in the evening. And then there's Elvis. Such a long, skinny, soft, adorable and sweet kitten! There are not enough good adjectives to describe him! We want a kitty just like him for ourselves. We give this sit ALL the stars possible and can't wait to come back! :)
The house, the neighborhood and the proximity to downtown make for a very relaxing sit. When you are on the deck, it feels like you could be isolated in the woods, knowing town and anything you may need is a stone's throw away. The dogs are two great pals to spend time with. They love the back yard and like to have you there with them, throwing a toy for Ruby to chase, walking around with them or sitting and petting them. Ruby and Charlie are wonderful! Joy and Bob were very welcoming. They gave me ample instructions, but encouraged me to enjoy their home and their dear pets.
We had a great time in Denver with Kali and Koda! Grant and Sheryl were very welcoming and their home is lovely. Kali liked to follow us around and keep an eye on us, but only from a distance. On the other hand, Koda is probably the lap-iest lap cat I've ever met :), and he's full of energy. It was fun to watch them play with each other and wrestle over who got to sit in their favorite box. Thank you Grant and Sheryl for the great stay!
For us, this was a fantastic sit. Having grown up in the general area, Groomsport unexpectedly proved to be a revelation for me. Tracy and Grant have found a piece of Heaven here, and the weather was great which of course helped. The scenery and sense of peace is stunning. It was a very valued experience for us to share time with Sarge, Thula and Suki. They are such characters; typically Jack Russell, initially feisty they quickly grew to accept and welcome us; and on our part to completely win over our hearts! They adore human contact – cuddles, doing stuff together, watching the outdoors and occasional walks. They are well disciplined and have their routines which they love – if you forget to give them a dog biscuit after you finish eating you will be rounded up and escorted to the kitchen. From time to time, you do have to contain their enthusiasm with a strong word and we would recommend this sit only for those who are confident with ‘feisty dogs’ and better to have had some familiarity with the character of the Jack Russell. Tracy and Grant are just the loveliest of people; fantastically hospitable, empathetic, flexible and great communicators – they really put themselves out to inform, reassure, anticipate and respond to our needs and to make our stay very comfortable. Their house and garden are beautiful with those views over Belfast Lough to the Copeland Islands and beyond. We would go back anytime whenever possible, without a second thought.
I stayed in Paul and Bob’s home with their dog Ryder for a month and had a wonderful time! Their home is a gorgeous log cabin in a peaceful area with amazing views. It was really a privilege to stay there! Ryder is a very good dog and was easy to care for. Paul and Bob were also incredibly welcoming, very thorough with their directions, and responded quickly to messages. I felt comfortable with them and we became friends. I would highly recommend this house sit to anyone who wants to enjoy a mountain getaway! Thank you Paul and Bob.
I had a great time looking after Flash in Kilmarnock. He is such a sweet-natured dog, and we bonded during wonderful visits to nearby beaches and parks (I would recommend walks on Troon and Irvine beaches and exploring Eglinton Country Park). Paco the parrot is a source of endless amusement, too. Liz and Derek were very friendly and welcoming, they were easy to communicate with before, during and after the sit, and their home was very clean and comfortable, with all mod cons. All in all, a very enjoyable sit.

Our dog Loki loves his time with Stephen at My Best Friend Dog care. It’s so nice to have someone we can trust and really care for our dog. 100% reliable and always the upmost service.
The dogs in his care adore him. He has a really connection with them and treats them all as individuals knowing their separate personalities.
Sami has worked with our French Bulldog, Henry. Our dog is anxious, resource guards and has bitten in the past. He absolutely adores Sami, so much so, he vibrates when he sees her! By far the most knowledgeable, professional person we’ve worked with and we’ve used a few people around the Chester area in the past. I wouldn’t go anywhere else as Henry has come on leaps and bounds since being with Sami. Couldn’t recommend her enough! Thank you so much!!
A professional from head to toe, animal lover 100% ,committed and devoted to her work as no other cat sitter we have ever met! I will never be able to thank Sam for all her hard work and loving attention she invests on my three cats on every visit! They love her to pieces and currently missing her coming round to look after them. When Sam is looking after them I know for sure they are in the best hands I could ask for and takes all my worries away so I can enjoy my time away. Even though she looks after my cats I did foster a dog for a short term and Sam looked after him while I was at work. This dog had several traumas and needed a lot of TLC...Sam was just what he needed in every way. Her knowledge in regards to training and animal care is never-ending, you can tell her true passion is training and caring for animals. Outstanding professional, I would recommend her 100% and I am so grateful to have her look after our precious family members.
Sami is just wonderful, the true Dr Doolittle of the pooch world. she puts so much effort into training and playing with Mabel. filling sessions with mixture of fun, scent trailing, ball throwing, running and socialising. mabes is far better behaved now, calmer and more content. can't praise the woof woof woof club enough, just wish we had found Sami a long time ago.
My dogs experienced such an amazing 2 days with unleashed doggy day care. Love seeing all the photos and videos. 2 very tired pooches by end of the day 💙 they will definitely be coming back to visit! …
Our cockapoo puppy went to Alison for an overnight stay and daycare and had an absolute ball. Alison kept us up to date with plenty of photos of videos throughout and Ralph settled in really easily. He came back absolutely shattered from all the fun he had! Would definitely recommend- very friendly and reliable service.
Alison walks my German Shepard puppy Hugo, he’s quite timid and hesitant on a walk but Alison is amazing with him. She gets him to walk for hours with regular updates/pictures and videos of him, I have seen massive improvements since Alison has been taking him out and me using the advice she gives when I take him out . He loves Alison and is always excited to see her, I would 100% recommend her to anyone, she looks after them with love and care! Hugo always comes home tired after a walk with Alison which is a bonus!!
Alison clearly loves dogs and her job. I felt totally comfortable leaving my little one with her for day care and a home stay. Pixie was well exercised and treated and we had constant updates to show us exactly what was going on. Alison is extremely professional in her approach, very responsive to all enquires and always helpful. Thank you!
Alison has been walking our 6 and a half month old puppy for a couple of months. He was very hesitant and nervous of people and other dogs prior to going out with her, but since she has been walking him especially twice a week he has come out of his shell so much. The social media and WhatsApp updates reassure me and he clearly adores Alison as he gets so excited seeing her each week.
Alison looked after our old boy Victor for 2 nights and he came back happy as Larry! He was sorry to see her go and had the best time tearing around the Meadows with his doggo friends. 10/10 would recommend!
Conor loves going on walks with Alison and has also enjoyed an over night stay! Lots of regular updates and photos which is lovely! He always comes home tired and very happy! 🐾🐾🥰
Alison had my puppy sunny for a whole day and sunny had the best time! She was very good at keeping me posted and sunny loved the attention and walks she got.
Our chocolate lab Marley spent 2 weeks with Unleashed Dog Sitting, looking at the photos on social media, he looked to have had a great time! Looks like he'd had a holiday as well as us. Would recommend 🐶
Couldn’t ask for a more personal experience for our “diva” puppy….. Burt is a one off to say the least and Alison made him feel welcome, at home and showed him the boundaries! Could not recommend any more than I doing!
I was so worried about leaving my african grey, especially as I have never left him longer than a couple of days before. They are such sensitive birds. I was put completely at ease from the beginning, I had daily updates which was so nice as I missed him so much and it was so nice to know he had settled okay. He also had another african grey there to chatter away with. I wouldn't think of taking him anywhere else from now on. Thank you so much ❤️
Maxine has been looking after my 2 pugs Bertie & Louie0 for over 4 years. Maxine is amazing and I know when my pugs stay with Maxine and her husband Charles, my dogs are welcomed with open arms and treated as part of their family. I receive regular updates and photos whilst away and i can see my dogs are happy and well cared for. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Bretton Pet Sitting!
I feel totally confident when I Ieave my two dogs with Maxine in her lovely home. She is very reliable, attentive and professional and my dogs come home happy, healthy and relaxed. I have been leaving my dogs with Maxine for 6 years and would highly recommend her.
Maxine looked after our FIV+ cat with visits twice a day. The process was incredibly clear from start to end and she was very professional and helpful in reassuring us. Our cat took an immediate liking to her. We got a daily updates with highly entertaining pictures and she was willing to water our plants and put the bins out. If you want a very responsible catsitter to make your holiday as worry free as possible, we would highly recommend her.
Maxine is amazing with house visits and hone boarding. My dogs go to her house and love their time there. They sulk when they come home. Maxine visits my house and looks after my other pets while I’m away. It’s complete peace of mind. Ten out of ten! Book early as Maxine books up very quickly
This place is brilliant providing a home from home for your pet. Nothing is too much trouble.
Maxine is amazing, kept us updated with photos and videos all holiday and our whippet absolutely loved her and her time with the boys!
Gus just loves Maxine, I always recommend her for friends wanting a dog sitter.
My dog us always looked after exceeding well everytime due visits. They accomodate her needs and keep me informed on how she is.
My dog loves his visits and is always happy to go .
My young dog was not looked after properly by Adventure dogs, and escaped from the Adventure field, which is not secure at all. I was called to say she had escaped, and invited to phone the local vets. My dog had been in a road traffic accident on the A55. There are many main roads close to Miccletrafford, including the M53 The car involved in the accident informed the police, who found her and took her to the vets, where I found her. Her pelvis has been broken, and she now hops along on three legs. After originally accepting liability, and saying he would pay for my dogs treatment, the owner of Adventure dogs is now saying his insurance won't pay.! Do not trust this company. Your dog is not safe. This had been a very distressing time. And a beautiful thoroughbred dog has been suffering and on pain killing tablets since the accident.
Our dog loves going there. Andy very accomodating. Reasonable prices.
One happy little puppy....one happy puppy owner!
I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Mickleton Kennels. We were assured on three separate occasions that it would be acceptable for one of our dogs to sleep in a crate in a shared kennel with our other dog. However, just one hour after dropping them off, we were informed that this arrangement was not possible due to the size of the crate, forcing us to opt for two separate kennels at an additional charge of £70 for the stay. To make matters worse, the voicemail we received from the owner mentioned using a small crate for one of the dogs, which contradicts an email they also sent us stating that their licensing agreement with Cheshire West prohibits keeping any animal restrained in a crate or cage within the kennel for more than an hour. This inconsistency is baffling and raises serious animal welfare concerns, especially since a 19kg medium-sized dog in a small crate would be highly inappropriate. On collecting my dogs, I learned that one of my dogs had been sleeping in the crate in a kennel, which leaves us with two troubling possibilities: 1. We were initially lied to about the crate being too large for the kennel, resulting in an unnecessary extra cost of £70. 2. The kennel has violated the terms of their licensing agreement with Cheshire West by using a crate either in the same kennel or a separate kennel to our other dog Additionally, the owner is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Since raising our concerns, our communication with him has been troubling, with him attempting to shift the blame onto us for their mistakes. He falsely claimed that we said one of our dogs was dangerous, which is not the case at all. Despite having written evidence and a recorded voicemail clearly showing the incorrect information supplied, he has responded by attempting to dominate and belittle me, calling me overbearing and a bully when dealing with his staff rather than addressing the issues raised as you would expect from a reputable company. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend Mickleton Kennels to anyone looking for reliable and honest pet care.
They had our three hounds for 5 days last week and they were superbly looked after and bright and very happy when we came to pick them up - they are brilliantly priced for three dogs sharing compared to previous kennels we have used so they have our business moving forward 10/10 !! Dan Finney
Our first and last time coming here. We were greeted in reception by someone who was quite rude and blunt with both my partner, her sister, and myself. We picked up our puppy who had no water in the crate at all, and when taking her home, she drank nearly a full bowl full of water. This has been advertised as a daycare service. However, when my puppy came home, she had bundles of energy left, unlike when she has been elsewhere. This has led me to believe she had presumably spent a lot of time in her crate throughout the day. Given the lack of attention to its customers & my puppy, I wouldn't recommend this place. Edited for response: We were advised to leave the dog in a kennel and that she would be taken out when the staff were ready. Daisy Yarlett is the puppy that was there yesterday.
Our dog always comes back from here happy, healthy & clean. The team are friendly & helpful, would recommend.
Lovely staff and kennels. My dog's first time and she loved her stay. Happy to recommend and will be back 😃 …
First time using this kennels. Blue stayed for 9 nights, he went in excited and come out super happy! All the staff we met were really friendly! Would definitely recommend and will be using again!
Really like this place, my dog has stayed a few times now and he always comes back happy and settled. I can tell he's been looked after well and the staff are friendly and confident with him
Fabulous kennels with friendly, knowledgeable staff! Our dog always gets so excited when we bring him in and runs straight to the staff for a fuss. He goes with them wagging his tail and doesn't even look back! Would highly recommend!
The staff at Mickleton's were very friendly, helpful and efficient. They looked after my dog with such care and their efforts were greatly appreciated.
Met by a very pleasant young lady Chloe who showed us around a very busy place. Plus a large field for exercising dogs. We booked our precious 🐈 cat and 🐕 in for our holiday time. Not difficult to find with Google maps plus parking at the front. …
We'd never left our sausage for more than a night before, and decided to use the Cheshire Sausage Hotel when we couldn't take her to Italy. We were quite nervous about leaving her for a whole week, but ended up having one of our best holidays ever because we could totally relax knowing she was having the best time. They sent us photos/videos every day and the whole thing has actually encouraged us to go on more holidays without her in future (though not too often as we did miss her!!). I'd 100% recommend this place and will definitely use them again in the future. Thanks so much!
Would not like to leave my dog in care with these people, seen a Man wearing the blue t-shirt with "Cheshire Sausage hotel" logo on the back, walking 3 dapple Dachshund in Chester by JD and one of the dogs went to walk around one of the bollards and instead of the walker lifting his arm over the bollards or coaxing the dog to walk around the way he wanted with the other dogs he decided to yank the dog around the bollard? don't leave bad reviews but this is just not acceptable in any instance, specially when people are leaving there beloved dogs in your care.
Our dachshunds, Hazel and Oreo, eagerly anticipate their weekly stay at the sausage dog boarding hotel, and for good reason! Alex not only provides excellent care but also takes them out on big walks, ensuring they get the exercise they need. The attention to detail and genuine affection shown towards Hazel and Oreo make us confident that they're in the best hands. The socialisation they get being amongst other Sausages helps in creating such a positive environment for our beloved dachshunds!
Our 2 Dachshunds, Hazel and Oreo love their time at Cheshire Sausage Dog Hotel…they go every week and always come home happy, tired and content. We wouldn’t choose anywhere else! They share videos and updates of their day which gives us such peace of mind knowing they are well looked after. Thank you to Alex and Trish for their love and care.
Visit this sausage hotel regularly and am always impressed by how happy all the little sausages are. They all get on so well which shows how well acclimatised they are to each other before they stay and it’s so lovely watching them all play and walk together. A&T clearly treat them all as their own would recommend this place to anyone ❤️❤️❤️
Disappointed with the whole pre boarding experience, slow communication, actually very slow communication to even just to see if our doggo could board here and when we finally got a response we were met with “we don’t really do one offs” which it wouldn’t have been but every doggo surely has a first time stay.. thankfully found another local competitor who is doing a fantastic job, location is stunning and responded instantly - what more can you ask for! **update - I appreciate the response via text and to my review and I’ve never called into question your quality, that speaks for itself which is why I approached yourselves to enquire about a stay. I understand the processes involved and I had no expectation I could just have my doggo stay with yourselves with no prior stays, but to be fair I’d detailed in messages via SM and an email what I was looking for from yourselves way back in November 2023 after I saw an instagram post - now you’ve made it clear about your current personal circumstances if new clients aren’t something you could consider I would have preferred a quick reply way back when I first reached out denoting so. I hope things get better for you guys in 2024 😃
Best doggy day care in Chester! I wouldn’t send my Daisy anywhere else! She goes to doggy day care once a week and sometimes boards too. D4FK is her second home. The pups are spoilt every time, they go on new adventure walks and are even thrown the cutest birthday parties. D4FK are super responsive and flexible. All the dogs are very friendly and well behaved. If you want your dog to have a fun time and be spoilt don’t sent them anywhere else!
My dog Bella, a Patterjack, used to go here, she loved it. Loved their dog Paws 🐾. It was just difficult for me to get my dog to their place in hot weather when temperatures too high to walk her so she stopped going. It's a lovely place and dogs are well looked after. They have a great time. It's easier if you have a car to drop off and collect your dog. 5* daycare
Molly loves her time at Digz for Fur Kidz. They’ve been especially good in the recent heat, making sure all the dogs are well looked after and comfortably cool. She gets up to all sorts of adventures and comes home absolutely exhausted which gives us all a peaceful evening. I thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for a dog sitter.
Richard and Linsay were such brilliant foster parents to Cooper when he boarded with them last week. They treated him as one of their own family and he was thoroughly loved. (Apparently Richard even slept downstairs with him for a couple of nights until he settled!) They sent regular ‘pup-dates’ in the form of photos and videos which put our minds at ease. Cooper had a great time with the ‘daycare pack’ and made some lovely furry friends. We would have no hesitation in using Digz 4 fur Kidz again, or in recommending them to others. Many thanks from us and Cooper Richard and Linsay!
We have a border collie who despite her old age still needs regular walks and stimulation. Since using Shirley we have noticed a big difference in Meg's mood after work and have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who needs a dog walker.
Great service from walks n wags Chester! They regularly call in to look after our cat when we’re away. Our cat hates being left in a kennel so having someone call in daily to look after her is great and much more cost effective!
The staff at Warren Woods was very friendly, and they made us feel like they got to know our cat Maxine over the 10 days she stayed with them. They accommodated her nervous personality, and gave her the time and space to become more confident. They post pictures of the cats every other day with some updates, which gave us peace of mind over the Christmas period - they even supplied a stocking from Santa which was a lovely surprise. The booking process was also easy - they were accommodating of a last minute day change to her stay, as we had to drop her off a day early. Next time Maxine needs somewhere to stay, Warren Woods will be our first choice. Thank you!
We've taken our 2 fluffy balls to Warren Wood twice now and they've been so well looked after! We get regular pictures so we can see how they're doing which keeps my mind at ease! The staff are all lovely, the place is clean, and the cats have both inside and outside space with heaters in the winter. Highly recommended.
Our Cats & Dog's have been staying with Emily and the gang for over four years, they always come home, happy, contented and well looked after.we enjoy seeing the regular updates and photos. Emily and the team could not be more helpful. Keep up the good work!
Just collected a very happy Staffy. We don’t use kennels often as my boy gets very anxious but sometimes we have no choice. Warren Wood is a lovely place, great staff and my boy was happy and content. It was clear they took great care of him and will now become our regular go to. Thank you!
Our dog recently spent two weeks at Warren Wood Kennels on holiday as we went on ours, and we came back to a happy and content dog. Emily, Leah and Amelia sent updates (photos and videos) on Ella while we were away and it made such a difference to us - it was so lovely to see how happy Ella was playing in the pen and out on her walks. We are so happy to have found the perfect Kennels and appreciate the wonderful care Ella received. We will be back!
We take our two dogs to Warren Wood and highly recommend! The staff are so friendly and the dogs love them! I always know they are in safe hands! We recieve photo updates too which is great, and you can see how much they are enjoying themselves!
Warrenwood have looked after our pets, a 13 year old dog with multiple health issues, and a 10 year old cat, for many years. They are amazing. They know our pets inside and out. They get to know your pet's character. They always update us with photos and messages. We even got a phone call a few years ago when we were abroad to check on what we wanted to do when our pooch had a minor health issue. Check them out. Just turn up. You won't need to make an appointment as long as it is within their opening hours. You will be shown around the entire facility. They have nothing to hide. I collected our two today after a two week break. Our dog didn't want to greet me. She was more concerned with getting loves and cuddles from the staff at Warrenwood. Says it all. The cat was a miserable git but always has been! Thank you yet again Emily and your amazing team.
I recently had to leave my dog, at the kennels while I was away for a few days, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I dropped him off, I was really impressed with the care and attention he received. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and immediately put both my dog and me at ease. They took the time to ask about his routine, preferences, and any special needs he might have, which made me feel confident that he would be well taken care of. Throughout his stay, I appreciated the regular communication. I sent a few messages to check in, and each time, I received prompt replies. The staff shared updates and even sent a couple of adorable photos of him playing. Seeing him happy and engaged brought me such comfort while I was away. What truly stood out was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. They clearly love what they do and genuinely care about the animals in their care. When I picked him up, he was wagging his tail and looked so content. It was clear he had a great time!
Warren wood Kennels are just amazing. For long period stays we put our two frenchies here and we won’t use anywhere else. They dogs come home happy and healthy. I would really recommend this kennel to anyone that is looking for a safe place to keep your dogs.
100% recommended Warren Wood, staff are amazing so friendly. Loved being able to see pictures of our cat while she was there. Really puts your mind at rest that they are happy. Our cat seem to like the staff more than us and didn't want to come home. brilliant place.
