Looking after Lumi & Mishka for Celine was a completely perfect cat sit! They are two of the most beautiful cats I have ever met, are incredibly good natured and a huge amount of fun to play with (or to watch play with each other- it's hilarious). Celine is also absolutely lovely and left really helpful instructions for the boys, and was always really quick with communication if I had any questions. Her flat is beautiful and extremely comfortable to stay in! It was a joy to sit for Lumi & Mishka and I would come back again in a heartbeat, I miss them already! :)
We can't begin to say how brilliant a house sit this is. To get to spend two months looking after the most wonderful cats, enjoying the garden which is truly spectacular, eating veggies straight from the veg patch, cooking on the Aga, and swimming in the river pool at the bottom of the garden - we can't think of any way the experience could have been more ideal. We loved spending time with Fennel and Muffin, who have such different characters and were very easy to look after - Fennel would join us for breakfast every morning and loved tummy rubs, Muffin was more of an evening lap cat after a long day exploring and chasing mice! We already miss them loads! Jeni and Hamish were really generous, kind and welcoming with very clear instructions about care for the house and gorgeous cats, and super easy to communicate with whenever we needed to. They made us a lovely lunch when we came to have a chat before the sit, and some eggs etc in the fridge when we arrived. Truly generous and easy going people. We will be back in a flash if we can!
Zeke is an amazing, easy going and very well behaved pup! He is the only dog I've ever sat that I've been comfortable letting off leash. He has great recall, and is very courteous to other other dogs and park goers. Daniel's home is well located and lovely, I would happily come back again if requested!
I had a wonderful week caring for doggies Lupin and Zola and hen Gloria. Juliet was prompt, friendly and helpful with her communication. The Manor house is a magnificent old home, beautifully renovated with pretty gardens. The guest bedroom is spacious with views to the gardens and good heating. Lupin loves his walks in the forest, has good recall when off the lead and is always up for a play. He looks deep into your eyes and tries to communicate. He loves snuggles. Zola is a little cutie, happy to flatly refuse to go on a walk if she doesn't want to, but then when she wants to, walks well on the lead and stays near when off the lead. She loves being patted. Both dogs are loving and sweet. Gloria is easy and just needed corn in her dish and water filled up once in the week. The Somerset region is picturesque and I enjoyed exploring. Juliet and Tim were warm and welcoming and I felt like I was leaving friends. Highly recommend this sit.
Jani and John are among the friendliest people I have met. They did a great job of reviewing all the tasks needed to be a successful pet sitter. And they responded quickly to any text communications, making sure all was fine on my end. The two cats are truly enjoyable to be around. Each has a unique personality and each warms up to you in different ways. Cowboy is such a lover boy, gently asking to come on you and snuggle around your neck. He really has a way to make you feel "special"! He's so cute. And Mico talks to you so much when he wants his food, he's like a funny grumpy old man who just doesn't want to wait for his meal. They warmed up to me so fast, and are so well trained that they know what's coming and are compliant with their medications. The house is charming and comfortable and has everything one needs. It was lovely to meet Jani and John beforehand: they made sure I understood the routine of the cats and showed me around their house, making me feel really welcome. Thank you for trusting me with your boys for my first house-sitting on this site. How lucky I was to get goodies when I arrived, and Jani was so kind to draw me a map of the neighbourhood (a very safe one) indicating where I could go for walks. The house is so lovely and decorated with taste, and there is so much art in it that for the art lover that I am it was a real unexpected treat. The bedroom where I slept was really charming, extremely quiet and spacious with a nice view. The backyard is so peaceful and delightful, it's perfect for watching the many birds that come at the feeders or simply relaxing after a day in town. It was overall a wonderful sit. And did I mention how cute Cowie and Mico are!

When I lived in Fenway I used to use Rover for all my pet sitting needs. But it was a pricy service and I had to do a lot of research and vetting when choosing someone who would look after our small dog. I moved to Brighton during the pandemic and have since relied on Happy Pet Care for all our walking and sitting needs. Mary, the owner is extremely good at communicating. She is quick to schedule us in even the night before (so sorry Mary). We set up autopay so I don't have to worry about the hassle and with fixed rates every time I know exactly what the cost will be upfront as opposed to Rover which can charge me different rates depending on who is working. Happy Pet Care did increase their prices during the end of the pandemic to adjust for the rise in cost of living. I appreciated the transparency about the cost increase and the sensitivity with which it was communicated to me. I would also like to personally recommend Debra, who has cared for our dog multiple times. I feel that everyone at Happy Pet Care gets to know my dog, and seeing the same people get to know her makes me feel secure that she is in good hands and that she can recognize who is caring for her without the added stress of meeting a stranger. Happy Pet Care is a great small business that we can rely on. I have been recommending their services to new dog owners in the area and I would certainly recommend them to you.
I needed a dog walker in Brighton for our new rescue and came across glowing reviews for Happy Pet Care. They are professional, super flexible, and really care about your pet. Mary is very easy to work with and very responsive. Our first meeting was with Jen and she was great with our dog and asked all the right questions. Sean was our main dog walker and he was so caring with our dog - she is 12 years old and he never got annoyed with how slow she needed to walk. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the level of quality care you get. We will greatly miss their services in the suburbs!
We've been using Happy Pet Care for dog walks 2-3 times per week since we adopted our lab mix puppy (now over a year ago). Mary is always so responsive, kind and flexible - which is so important when you have a dog. There have been multiple occasions where we need to switch days, length of walks, or add on an additional walk. Mary has almost always been able to accommodate us! Our walker is mostly either Sophia, Jen, or Mary herself. My pup can be nervous around new people when her humans aren't around, and they have all been wonderfully patient with our pup. Thanks for helping us care for our fur baby! Updated review: It has now been 2.5 years using Happy Pet Care. We could not ask for a better, more reliable, patient, understanding, and kind dog walking service. We've had Mary, Sophia, Jen, Matt, and Debra walk our pup - and they've all been great. Mary is always very responsive, and easy to work with, even with last minute changes. Additionally, her prices have not gone up, while other services we use for our pup have. The dog walks are high quality with a great price, and a lot of flexibility (because life happens). We're sad that our pup won't have them for her mid day walks while we're at work after we move.

I spent two weeks out of town and Lisa from Happy Pet Care came by my apartment twice a day to look after my rabbit, Auggie. I've never left my bun alone for a such a long time and was initially anxious about the separation, but Lisa was wonderful in every way. First, she had previous experience caring for her own rabbit, which was important to me because rabbits are nonverbal creatures and require someone who is familiar with their signs of illness or distress. Second, she sent sweet text and photos updates of Auggie twice a day, and it was apparent that he was both happy and comfortable in her care. Third, Lisa went above and beyond in caring for my bun--she weathered fierce storms to check on him, doted on him with his favorite salad greens, arranged a last-minute emergency visit when my flight home was delayed, and showered him with so much affection that not once did I worry about Auggie during the two weeks that I was gone. Can't recommend Happy Pet Care enough, and Ms. Lisa especially! She's my go-to gal from here on out whenever I'm heading out of town.

Above & Beyond Pet Services is wonderful. I transitioned my King Charles Cavalier to dog walks about 12 months ago from doggie daycare as I realized he preferred the one on one attention. Sophia has been his primary walker for several months now. She is very attentive to Asher and will always mention in her notes if she notices anything out of the ordinary. I met her and she is very kind and caring. I know that Asher is in good hands and that she is able to adjust to his needs each day which differ based on my schedule with him and if we walked the prior night or earlier in the morning. I know that he looks forward to spending time with her whether they walk or play depending on his needs for the day I know she is giving him lots of love and attention. I am so grateful to have this incredible reliable and professional service for my dog who is my family.

I've been using Above & Beyond for years, and they've always done a great job taking care of my two cats. I have them bring in my mail, in addition to putting out food and water, and scooping the litter. I get nervous about leaving my cats for trips, but the daily email updates A&B sends with photos of the cats and the services they're doing really puts my mind at ease. They've always been easy to schedule and communicate with. Would highly recommend.

We were really impressed with Michelle, who cared for our two cats for 5 days when we were away. In our initial meeting, Michelle was very professional and wore a mask during this pandemic time. She took detailed notes. Michelle updated us with daily texts including pictures of the cats! She even administered their allergy medications! Michelle went above and beyond to tidy up and also entertain the cats with toys. Thanks, Michelle!! We will call you again for our next trip!!
The ABSOLUTE BEST in terms of pet care. Michelle has been so amazing the last few years taking care of my kitties over the holidays. She goes above and beyond—even making sure the litter box is extra clean and getting the kitties new toys to occupy themselves when my fiancé and I are away. I am definitely one to stress about being away from my animals, but I have never been stressed when Michelle has been taking care of them. Paws To Consider is a wonderful dog walking service. Their walkers are professional and friendly, on time and really seem to love my dog. Cricket can be a little difficult to meet, as she has a stranger/danger reaction sometimes, but Paws does a great job of introducing new walkers to Cricket. They are great, and help me out so much with my sweet dog. Also, their level of and clear communication is fantastic. Couldn't be happier with these guys!

Our neighbors recommended Paws to us three years ago and we have been scheduling occasional walks and sitting for our dog, Jack, since then. The shelter where we adopted Jack would only release him to a forever home with no other dogs since he was surrendered due to his aggressive behavior with other dogs. None of his walkers/sitters at Paws have reported any problems and frequently seem to do a better job of controlling his behavior than we do. Paws even recommended a harness which Jack seems to be much more comfortable with than the collar we were using. We love the frequent updates that the walkers/sitters provide after each walk including lots of really great photographs, maps of the routes walked, and number of bowel movements. It would be difficult to leave Jack in a kennel and we feel much more comfortable having the sitters from Paws stay with Jack at our home. We’ve always found our home as clean, orderly, and secure as we left it. All of the walkers and sitters at Paws have gotten along so well with Jack that we haven’t had to worry and sometimes even get a bit envious. We would highly recommend Paws to anyone.
We utilize dog walking services for our Goldendoodle puppy. We have found them to be exceptional! Excellent communication, Extremely organized, Reliable dog care are just a few of the things we like best. Our puppy can be difficult at times on walks and anxious around strangers. Jana has been extremely good for our pup. I always have peace of mind when I go to work. I love the report cards we get with photos. They are caring, professional and flexible. Walks are solo or with 1 compatible dog. I love that about them. It’s definitely a more personalized approach and they are very thoughtful with transitions when it comes to introducing our pup to other dog walkers they build in additional time.
Been using Paws for years (6+) and would (and did) highly recommend! They are exceptionally accommodating to fluctuating work schedules and are great with walking an extra dog, when I dog sit for friends.
Paws To Consider has been incredible! We adopted a dog last year who ended up being somewhat high maintenance. Paws To Consider has taken SUCH good care of him on his weekly walks. The post-walk messages and photos are thorough and fun to see. The administrative team has also been really helpful and flexible with our varying schedule. We are sadly moving out of their radius, and I know we won't find a dog walker that our dog bonds with as much!

Absolutely love Sam's Pet Patrol! He is extremely knowledgeable about animals and is invested in my pet's wellbeing, always sending me updates about my dog's walks and boarding. He's very consistent and flexible - he's been great about handling last minute scheduling changes. I've used his services for midday walks when I need to go into the office as well as longer term boarding when I need to go out of town. Can't recommend this service enough!
Sam is an absolute angel and a wonderful trainer and dog sitter! I’ve been having him walk and take care of my dog for a few years, and she is so happy when she sees him that she literally leaps into his arms. He is very thoughtful and attentive to each dog he cares for, and spoils my dog rotten! He’s punctual, reliable, and I can always count on him to be flexible when my work or travel schedule goes awry. For example, when my flight was more h to a four hours delayed, Sam offered to keep my pup overnight at no charge, and allow me to pick her up in the early morning. I have recommended Sam to several friends and neighbors, and they’ve always been very happy with his services as well.
Great decision to use Sam to dog sit while visiting our granddaughter in Boston. Sam took wonderful care of Cody and even picked him up and returned him to our in-town hotel. Second day Cody went off with him happily and was excited to greet him. It made our city visit, with dining out, stress free. So happy we found Sam. I’d highly recommend him.

Sam is fabulous. We found him when we were desperate to board our elderly dog while his owner was in the hospital. He was incredibly communicative and reassuring. It was like leaving a child at kindergarten and Sam was as comforting as a kindergarten teacher! The little guy got excellent care, well fed, time outdoors. And Sam has continued to be available even for challenging requests. I recommend him without hesitation. He has been a calm space in some very stressful situations.
Try it for yourself! Sam is an outstanding professional dog trainer. My husky tends to be erratic sometimes but Sam had the correct approach, I was baffled by all the knowledge he puts into practice with dogs!

Sam is the best! We send our dog Zion to Sam for boarding whenever we go out of town. And we are 100% comfortable that he will be safe, have tons of activity and play time with dog friends and that Sam will care for him like he does his own dog!
Darrell has been absolutely wonderful and accommodating with my hectic schedule! I can tell my pup loves staying with him and is well cared for! I would absolutely recommend their services and am thankful that they have been so welcoming and helpful! Updated review: My dog has now been going to Leash Dog care for almost 2 years and has never had any issues. The team are attentive, always updating me with pictures, and my dog clearly has a wonderful time. On top of that they work around my schedule so nicely and are accommodating as well. Darrell and his team at Leash have been caring for my dog and cats while We’re out of town traveling for years now. They always provide consistent, responsible care, send me photos while I’m away, and my pets are always happy and cared for when I return.
We have been using Leash Dog Care walking services in different occasions and Darrell and his team are always on time to pick Lily up. She always returns happy and gets very excited when she knows that somebody from Leash is waiting outside the door for her. Darrell is very responsible and always responds our questions. He does his job with love and it's noticeable.

The playgroups are wonderful and, when our dog has boarded with Darrell, our dog seemed to be having a vacation of his own with the other doggies! Our dog Ozzy loves leash! We have used leash many times for dog walking and boarding. They are very communicative and always send cute pictures and updates on how our dog is doing. They also are very flexible with pick up/drop off times for boarding. Highly recommend!
We LOVE Darrell and his team! Our puppy, Lana, comes home from playgroup every day tired and happy. He has been super flexible and understanding of our crazy schedules as we are both residents. We really like the app where we can see pictures of our sweet baby playing with other dogs. We would highly recommend LEASH to anyone.
I have been using Pooch Hotel since 2021. Back then, I had difficulty finding a suitable place for my dog that could accommodate my working hours. Most places only operated from 7 am to 7 pm, but Pooch Hotel was the only one open 24 hours with after-hours pick-up availability. Over the years, I have seen many people come and go and several different management teams. In 2024, I have noticed many positive changes in both the business and the care of our pups. The staff is super nice, friendly, hardworking, professional, and always positive, even during busy times like around the holidays. I love the new facility design, the seasonal treats, and the doggy training sessions I see happening in the afternoon when I come pick up my Leo. If you’re looking for a place with flexible hours, friendly staff, a nice facility, and a convenient location, this is the place for you ☺️
Jen is awesome! My dog is a rescue and with Jen’s help his behavior improved. She has made him more comfortable in certain situations. He loves to see her!
Garcia was very well taken care of and loved by all staff. They were attentive to her needs and mine as well. I felt very comfortable and assured with her stay. Great place!!! Will see you all again !!!!
My dog Maple ABSOLUTELY LOVES THE POOCH HOTEL! The staff are kind, responsible and very communicative. Maple is a rescue who had a tough start to life, she was very nervous the first day of Daycare. After one week, she became excited everyday for the Pooch Hotel. The staff are always there to greet everyone with a smile. I am so thankful for them!
The Pooch Hotel team is absolutely incredible. Our dog Kobe is SO excited every time we take him to the hotel for boarding. He runs around and kisses all of the employees and his butt wiggles so fast because of how hard he wags his tail. I watch on the webcam and see how happy he is during play group. The staff are so well trained and interact with the dogs during play groups so professionally. When we pick him up, he’s happy to see us, but also again runs around to kiss and say goodbye to the employees. I’m so happy that we found this place. Worth every penny. Thank you endlessly for treating our dog as family. The Pupdates are always incredible as well.
We used this groomer for the first time for our large dog and it was the best grooming he's ever had. He looks so clean, cute, and fluffy and he wasn’t anxious or stressed after his appointment with Ballie, the groomer. They were very sweet to work with and quick with the appointment. So happy we made the change and thrilled with his cut and care.🐾
Updating my review to 4 stars. Originally I was very concerned with how my dog's trial was handled, but Pooch Hotel followed up with me over the phone to explain the situation. The person I spoke to was very helpful and explained that unexpected staffing issues caused the trials to not go as expected that day. She walked me through how my dog's care was approached and, as he's quite anxious in new surroundings, I felt more confident that his specific needs were considered. Considering all the positive reviews for Pooch Hotel, I had been hopeful that our original experience was not the norm, and I'm pleased that this appears to be the case. We are so appreciative of the quality care he’s received!
Pooch Hotel took great care of my dog. Jasper loves playtime with other dogs. They sent me reports regarding his interaction with other dogs and his behavior with pictures of him during playtime. They also monitored his health. Jasper is always excited when I drop him off which means he likes Pooch Hotel.
Have been bringing my chocolate lab here for occasional boarding for the last few months and have had a really wonderful experience. He willingly walks into Pooch Hotel with excitement. I love that I can watch him on the webcam during play time periodically throughout the day with no additional cost. Finally, the staff has seemed to be quite consistent over the last few months, which is nice to see employees’ faces again and again over time. Highly recommend!

We are so grateful for Annie's service while we lived in Waltham. The website is so easy to use to request services and I loved the daily emails after her visits. While my cat is skittish of everyone, Annie took the time to make sure she felt comfortable during her visits. She also came over a visit before our first visit to get to know us and our cat. I highly recommend Annie for pet services!
We’ve used Annie’s services twice so far, and will definitely keep doing so! The scheduling is easy to do, and she’s easy to communicate with and so sweet. We loved receiving the updates and photos of our Bob! Leaving our baby has always been so difficult, but it’s easier now knowing he’s always in such good hands :)
Annie was my sitter for my cat Brendan when I temporarily lived in Waltham for work. Annie took care of Brendan on a few last minute urgent occasions. Once I was gone for 2 weeks. She really saved me. She’s a lovely person who truly loves animals. When I returned from being out of town Brendan always looked content and litter box clean. You and your pet will love Annie.
New to the area and needed in-home cat care on fairly short notice. Annie offers a variety of services at reasonable prices - it was easy to request services, get a consult, and schedule what we needed. Annie is fun, thorough, and professional - will definitely use again.

Mindful Mutt did an amazing job taking care of my senior dog during a last minute boarding stay we had over the weekend. It was clear they put in so much work above and beyond the usual to keep him safe and stress free. We also really appreciated the pictures and updates throughout his stay.
Top-notch care by really caring humans. I love The Mindful Mutt crew! They truly care for my pup and work with her to stimulate her little brain. The fact that this is a *structured* daycare makes a huge difference in my dog's life. They play, train, and rest during the day. The scheduled rest times ensure my dog will not go into overdrive and remains a happy, balanced dog. When I pick up my Luna she is physically and mentally tired and never wants to leave. I can't sing any more praises to Deanna and her team. They are the best!!
We love The Mindful Mutt! My dog is pretty anxious but the staff is thoughtful about how they handle each dog and very kind. Almost every day at pick up, a member of their team gives me a little overview of how the day went. Deanna, the owner, is super responsive and communicative. My dog seems to really like all of them! They also take videos throughout the day and post to instagram — it’s so nice to be able to check in and see how they are doing.
The Mindful Mutt is fantastic! We have a very high energy dog who loves to play and run around almost nonstop. He always comes home tired and happy. Every time I bring him he gets super excited and now doesn't even look back when I drop him off! The staff are great and knowledgeable, and Deanna, the owner, loves working with dogs and had years of experience. I can't recommend Mindful Mutt more highly!
The mindful mutt is a doggy day care on a whole new level. The owner, Deanna, is wonderful and will take great care of your pup. The dogs get to play and do mind games during their stay, keeping them engaged a happy. They get a walk as needed, and they can even stay overnight - with Deanna on site! We have searched long and hard around Boston for day care, with a wide range of staff/facility "levels" (to stay nice) but this place is by far the best. We love Mindful Mutt — they take excellent care of our senior dachshund when we are out of town, and we get many many photos of him as an office assistant giving kisses to the team. Everyone is so gentle and relaxed and we can’t overstate how much we appreciate the great care.
We left our dog Lucy with the Mindful Mutt while we had to travel for two weeks and we felt very comfortable that she was being taken care of. The staff was all very kind and you can tell they care for the dogs. They were also very prompt to respond and provide updates on Lucy during her stay (we loved seeing the pictures and videos of her posted to instagram!). Our little puppy Mack has been going to The Mindful Mutt weekly (+ some overnights) for over 4 months now. Deanna and the entire Mindful Mutt team are some of the most caring people in general, let alone with animals. It has been such a an amazing experience bringing Mack. Instead of causing a ruckus at home, he gets to go a few days a week to play (and learn how to play) with all sorts of other dogs, works on his skills, and gets to have some structure in his energetic puppy life. We love TMM!
We feel unbelievably fortunate to have found The Mindful Mutt. We have two dogs and we trust Deanna implicitly with them. The team is also extremely responsive when we call with questions and they reach out to us timely if there's anything they need to bring to our attention while our dogs are there. We seriously won't board our dogs anywhere else at this point. It's so comforting knowing we can go out of town and our dogs are at a place where they're cared for and happy. We've lived all up and down the east coast with our pups, and this is far and away the best we've ever felt about where we board them. I give Deanna and her team my highest recommendation.

Woof & Meow is the best in the biz! I have a young and super hyper puppy, and Bruce does an awesome job managing her enthusiasm and creating walking groups that can match her energy. I feel good knowing she’s having fun and is in great hands when I’m at work. I think her afternoon walk is her favorite part of weekdays!
For years I used Bruce and gang for daily walks. They were always excellent caretakers of my first dog (skittish rescue) and second dog (rambunctious puppy). Sadly, I moved out of the area and must look for a new walker. Woof and Meow set a really high bar.
Bruce is fantastic. Friendly and reliable and when there are schedule changes he's been flexible and accommodating. My dog seems disappointed when I work from home, because she doesn't get to see her walkers.
