Trina
Trina and Robert are great, good communication, reasonable expectations, very hospitable, and just seem like all-around nice people. They were very welcoming, offered me a cup of coffee when I showed up at 7 for the handoff, and invited me to help myself to ingredients, snacks, etc. (Except girl scout cookies, lol: I understand!) In addition, they dealt with generosity of spirit and empathy when 2 days into the sit I had a family medical emergency and told them we might need to figure out a backup plan. Just totally rolled with the possibility, which thankfully did not become necessary. Even emphasized that I shouldn’t worry about the sit when a family member was having a medical crisis. Great, great folks.

They took their three dogs with them, so this sit was only for the cats, who are super easy! Jerry gets a subcutaneous injection (easy, anyone can learn to do this in minutes) twice daily, but he’s completely fine about it, doesn’t even seem to notice. Trina and Robert showed me his favorite hangout spots so I’d be able to find him when it was time for his shots. By the end of the first day he was quite interested in interacting. By the end of the second day, I found him waiting for me upstairs for his food and meds, and the next morning he came downstairs to visit a while. Super nice cat, really a lovely guy, will purr and purr when you give him head and chin scratches.

Joey was cautious. The entire first day, he was just watching. Interested, but cautious. He has his routine: out for the night, in for the day. He didn’t want to interact much except to ask to come in or go out, but he did slowly become more comfortable, and I got the strong feeling he was a really intelligent cat. In fact by the end of the sit he had me trained to open the door wide and step away from it before he’d venture through. Just making sure this new lady doesn’t try to slam his tail in the door!

Riley was shy and very sweet. I found her in the cabinet in the spare room the evening of the first day, reached a finger out very slowly to her, and she reached out to sniff. I caught only brief glimpses of her as she came for a snack. By the end of the second day, she was happy to have me give her some pets when I opened her cabinet. Total sweetheart.

The neighborhood was the site of a Homearama/Parade of Homes, an annual designer showcase of new luxury homes, and this was one of them. It is roomy and comfortable, well-organized, and clean -- amazingly hair-free given three dogs and three cats live there; when I showed up the wood floors looked like they’d just been vacuumed. WiFi is fast and reliable. Welcome Guide was detailed and complete. The yard is fully-fenced and surrounded by woods on two sides, you see a neighbor only on one, and it looks like in summer you might not really even see them. From their back deck you can hear birds all day long and owls in the night.

I slept in the back bedroom (where Riley’s cabinet and Jerry’s hideaway are) and it was clean, uncluttered, comfy bed. The guest bath across the hall was clean, uncluttered, comfortable, with nice towels and washcloths set out for me.

Wajira
Milo and Honey are a super loving pair of adorable pups who will willingly steal your heart as soon as you cross the door! With two fairly marked different personalities, they agree on one thing: they do enjoy attention but, mostly, they love being kept company (along with tickles and stroking)! In spite of dad, Wajira, being totally devoted to them, the siblings look forward to stay around and sharing most activities with you. They are also extremely smart in deceiving new ways to make sure they get noticed, all of which were cute and amusing to discover. Most of this comes from displaying how much they can miss family, but with affection and care you’ll mostly succeed into healing any feeling of loneliness that might inevitably pop-up.
Loughton, a quiet residential area with its own a fairly busy shopping area, fits them perfectly for their walks. Whereas Honey is not really keen on meeting other dogs, they are both extraordinarily friendly towards people, especially children, and they collect a lot of appraisal when walking around town.

To say Wajira has been most kind would be an understatement: while at home and also away, he made sure our stay in his lovely house was as conformable as possible, and even took time during his trip to come back with a gorgeous present for us! He is a really appreciative person that just wants the best for his puppies and rewards that with his cheerful energy and jolly approach to life. He has also sent us pictures of Milo and Honey as well, to help us coping with missing them after finishing the sit!

You will definitely do well in applying for a ride with this duo!

It was such a pleasure to look after licor and café! They are the most adorable and playful little kittens. They are obsessed with string toys and catching things, especially licor. He could probably play all day, he has so much energy😂 Café is a bit more quiet and relaxed. They are super snuggly and get along well with each other. I was charmed by them both and had a very enjoyable week. Cristina and Nico's home is cozy and comfortable. Our communication was great as well, they were very easy going and gave me all instructions. I had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend to future sitters! Thanks again😊

Jo &
Jo and Ian made me very welcome. They explained everything so well. I had a glorious week weatherwise. I had lots of plans to visit here there and everywhere. But I didn't want to leave the property. It was such a joy to be there. Alfie took a few days to warm to me. He has his routine. But in the end, he was coming onto my lap for cuddles. The garden needed lots of watering as it was super hot, but it was a very relaxing way to unwind at the end of the day. I would highly recommend this sit to others. Thanks

This was our first sit, and what a brilliant start it has been for us! Jon and Christian made us most welcome and explained all about the dogs and their routines.
Their home is lovely and comfortable, and it is in a lovely village with nice walks on the doorstep. And there are plenty of great country pubs nearby.
The dogs themselves are all gorgeous. They all have their own personalities, naturally, and it was great to get to know each of them.
They travel well in the car, and they love a good walk. They do tend to be a bit reactive when out and about, usually to other dogs and other animals. So they need to be kept on leads at all times. And they can pull on the lead quite a bit. But with both of us normally walking them it was not an issue.
At home they play around the house and garden during the day.
They love to curl up with you on the sofa in the evening, and they bed down happily in the Utility Room overnight.
Overall, they are extremely sweet natured and they have been great company for the week! We'd definitely recommend this sit to any couple that want a break in the country with three lovely dogs.
