I was really hoping for a smooth experience with Duncan's pet care, and while Duncan seems like a nice person, there were several issues when I returned home that I feel need to be addressed. First, I explicitly stated that I did not want guests in my home, but my neighbor—who, while being a bit nosey, is generally helpful—mentioned that Duncan had someone over without my knowledge. This was quite concerning, as respecting my home and rules is important to me. Secondly, the cleanliness of the kitchen was not up to par. When I returned, I found sticky substances on the counters, around the sink, and residue left on the stove. Additionally, two pots stored in the cabinet were stained with what appeared to be the same food residue that was on the stove – one was my cast iron skillet. Cleanliness is a basic expectation when providing care, and this left me disappointed. The most disturbing issue, however, was the handling of the litter box. I had to throw away my broom and dustpan because they had been used to clean up cat waste that didn’t make it into the LitterBot because it was stuck in a cycle. It was clear that one of my cats was forced to relieve themselves outside of the litter box, and the way this was dealt with was unacceptable. Finally, Duncan notified me of a broken doorknob, which I had to report to maintenance. I later found out that it appeared to have been pulled off rather than being worn down by normal use as I assumed when I received the text. While I’m not sure how this happened, it was just another frustrating issue on top of everything else. I'm generally not picky and try to be understanding, but these problems left me disappointed with the care provided. I hope Duncan takes this feedback constructively and improves these areas for future clients.

Ren and Chloe watched our house and pets for 10 days. They were very communicative and sent updates and pictures. I would recommend them!

Dustin
Dustin and Laura are both awesome! Their Home is beautiful, and in an excellent area of town. They have a wonderful but shy Ninja cat who can only be seen by cat whisperers. Luna never made an appearance during our sit until the last day and it was quite brief, she ate her food while we slept or left the house.

Ekaterina
Ekaterina and Norbert made our first house-sitting through TrustedHousesitters, a relaxing, peaceful and great experience.
Ekaterina and Norbert gave us such a warm welcome and we were and still treated like friends. They send us a detailed, useful welcome guide and also explained everything carefully when we came. Our communication was wonderful from our first call on. Ekaterina and Norbert stayed in contact during all their trip, so we could ask for any question and give news from the kitties.
Thanks Ekaterina and Norbert for choosing and trusting us to stay at your place and with your LOVELY kitties while visiting Basel. You've a special place in our hearts.

Moriah
Moriah and her two pups were great! Zeppelin and Pepper were both very well behaved and easy to care for. Both pups were sweet and loved their scratches. The free feeding and fenced backyard helped make this sit a breeze! Moriahs home is in a beautiful, quiet and safe area with all the amenities you need for a great stay. There are also a few walking trails accessible by foot from the house. Thank you for having me!

I really enjoyed staying at Diane’s home and taking care of Moyo and Oreo. Diane is a good communicator and her house is lovely. It’s in a great location in West London with excellent access to public transportation. The cats are very cute. Oreo is cautious and took a while to let me pet him. But he sure does like petting. Moyo is less timid and also enjoys a good pet. Diane, Matt and Damien were very welcoming.

Mila
Pet sitting Winnie & Moose was outrageously fun, they're such good sports. They have truly adorable personalities and I loved every minute spent with them. From the first Zoom, thru emails and til the last text, Mila was very responsive. She communicated well about the town, the house, and of course the pets (not to forget their beautiful fish). Their home had everything a person could need (incl a very comfy bed), the neighborhood very safe, and convenient to the downtown area and the train. I would recommend the sit to anyone thinking about it.
