Carey and her husband watched my two cats for a weekend and were wonderful. They both are truly 'animal people' which was apparent when they first walked in and both cats were crawling and purring all over them. Subsequent photos proved this love-fest continued through the weekend which showed my big orange cat Lars receiving copious butt scratches and my other cat, Ferghal, fully splayed on the floor, tummy out, utterly relaxed. Beyond cat care, the apartment was clean and tidy and communication was good throughout the process. I would highly recommend Carey! Five Stars!
We arrived the night before the sit started. Ilenka picked us up at the train station and prepared a delicious dinner. We also got to meet her daughter Ines. They are both super kind and friendly, it was great being able to spend some time with them. Ilenka showed us a couple of walks that she does with the dogs and where they can go off the lead, which was very helpful as there are a lot of trails in the area, and is easy to get lost...but anyway, Indie can totally lead the way, so we were fine haha The village is quiet and peaceful, with some beautiful walks around. The pets are just the best!!! Loki is the happiest dog I've ever met, full of energy, and can play fetch all day long. Indie is a little princess who loves walking around carrying her ball. Izzie is in the garden most of the time, but she comes to you whenever she wants attention, she is a low-maintenance cat. We loved our long morning doggie walks, it was the best way to start the day. Ilenka initially had two separate dates for the sit with a little break in between, but as we were available for both of them, she ended up not coming back home and we got to stay here for an entire month. As our sit finishes in 10 days, I'll leave some more comments for the next review.
Tamaron's pet sit exceeded my expectations. Not only is the house and setting stunning, but I just fell for her pets. Domino is young, strong, playful, and a bit wild, but he is such a lover! He has a great personality. Although he can't be off leash, or he will run away, Tamaron has a tie-up that lets him go in and out of the house and around the lawn. Burke is darling and easy to care for, though I think he was a little obsessed with me and wanted to sleep in my bed despite usually sleeping outside. The two play hard but can also be very affectionate with each other. Tamaron was great. She's organized, clean, thoughtful, generous, and easy to communicate with. I miss the animals and the house, and hope to go back!
I had a great time sitting for Pablo. He is such a friendly dog. Micki was an excellent host. She communicated well with me and the sit went great.
this was a lovely experience- friendly & prompt communication, comfortable & beautiful house/setting, simple & sweet dog :)
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this fabulous characterful family home. We got a warm welcome from Sarah and family, and a waggy greeting from the delightful doggies, Boris and Nala. Sarah presented us with all the information we needed, from care of the doggies to local places of interest. It was wonderful getting to know the doggies, Nala, bright, boisterous and inquisitive and Boris, Noble, Knowing and sweet tempered. Both were extremely affectionate and good natured... We enjoyed the large garden space and the walks to fields and a lake straight from the house. Thank you Sarah for all your thoughtfulness. We would be very happy to help in the future
This was a great sit in a great area in Toronto. Exploring the Danforth is fun. It is a great walking neighbourhood and Neala is always up to a walk. With the halti she walks quite well, loves to sniff and occasionally will attempt to eat something she finds. With a firm uh uh she is easily convinced to leave it or let it go! She loves to meet any and all dogs and people. She is very exuberant so around non dog people or young children it’s best to avoid. Neala is very affectionate; she loves to be near you. She is very calm back in the house. If you have a car the Woodbine beach boardwalk is close as are the parks in the Don Valley….Neala was in her glory in both. Communication with Aoife( who is chill and friendly)was excellent pre and during the sit. Her home is lovely and very clean. Everything you need. I can recommend this house sit without reservation.
