I arrived the afternoon before the start of the housesit and I received a very warm and friendly welcome from Kat. That afternoon I was able to watch what was needed to care for the dog, cats and sheep and I could immediately see how loving and caring she treats her animals. In the evening a delicious dinner was prepared and I was able to sit down straight away, delicious! The house is located in a beautiful area, lots of greenery, vineyards, rolling hills and plenty of walking paths as you walk out the door, a nice quiet rural area. Nearby, 10 to 15 minutes away, are a number of villages and towns where all necessary shops are available for daily needs. All animals are incredible cuddly toys and are very nice to take care of. Logan, the vizsla, is very adorable and loves attention, but be careful not to leave food within reach because he will steal it off the counter! The cats are all very sweet and love to cuddle! The sheep, “the girls”, have to get used to you in the beginning, but after a day or two they recognize you and it is very nice when they trust you more and eat from your hands. I am happy and feel honored that I have been given the confidence to look after the animals and the house, thank you Kat and fam and see you soon!
Carrie was very sweet, understanding and communicative throughout the sit. They gave me all the information to facilitate the sit, and their welcome guide is very descriptive too. The cats are really sweet, each with a different personality and quirks but very easy going and friendly. I love how each cat connected with me throughout the sit. They have a beautiful home close to everything for convenience. I am glad to have made friends with them, I hope to sit for them again and also recommend to other sitters.
Lawrie and I had a wonderful housesit in Amberley. Poppy, a Fox Red Lab was absolutely gorgeous and a pleasure to look after, as were Sapphire and Darcy the lovely cats. We started the housesit with a friendly and informative handover which was clear and detailed. The house is beautiful, very well equipped and in a lovely area with lots to see and do. It has been a pleasure to housesit and communicate with Deb and we would love to go back one day. Thank you, Deb.
Sue and Rich were welcoming and kind pet parents. We had a great visit before the sit began and enjoyed meeting them. Willie and Frodo are sweethearts. They are full of character and lots of fun. We had great walks and snuggles. New Dundee is very quaint. Quiet and relaxing. Sue And Rich were super communicators who responded quickly to concerns and questions despite the time zone differences. We hope to be able to meet up again in the future!
Bert and Ernie are so cute and so easy!!! They have a doggie door and let themselves out as needed. They are inclined to only go out periodically and mostly enjoy snuggling on the couch. They are crated at night and content to stay together for a long overnight stretch. No worries about them wandering or being needy during the night. Another sitter mentioned both having unique personalities. They are distinctive little guys and both are so affectionate. Ernie is on medication and has some coughing spells. Little concerning, but once understood that it's normal for him, it's easier to not be worried. Community is safe and pleasant and home is very comfortable. Marty is kind and responsive. He obviously cares for his boys and it's reflected in their easy-going manner. Definitely recommend!!!
