Louise and Xris are lovely human beings. They care deeply about animals and in making sure they are safe and happy. Louise and Xris live their ethics and values and that is important to me. I have 2 kittens who needed transporting to the vets numerous times over a 2 week period. I don’t drive and the bus service is unreliable. Xris has been amazing in looking after and transporting my kittens back and forth and this has relieved me of a huge amount of stress. If you are reading this and wondering whether to get in contact with them, do it, you will not be disappointed! Thank you both x

We have 3 dogs and a cat all have their little peculiarities which makes trusting someone else to look after them a HUGH decision. When we met xris and louise we instantly knew they were animal people and the dogs would trust them. I cannot recommend them enough. Xris looked after, not only the dogs and the cat but also my polytunnel, newly sown seedlings and left the house cleaner than I had. The dogs were happy, chilled and had obviously had a lovely time. Such a good service I’m looking to book another holiday to make up for the 4 years without one!!!!

I am so grateful to Louise for stepping in at the last minute to look after my 16 year old girls, due to our previously booked sitter not being able to do the full week. We had a lovely meeting where she took down all the details about my cats feeding and toileting preferences and I was happy to relax and leave them in her care, as she was so kind and very experienced. We got back to a lovely clean feeding area and set of litter trays. Communication was great throughout our time away. I will definitely use Louise in the future.

Well what can I say, I was very apprehensive about what would happen with the dogs when we went away for 10 nights as kennels have not been the best experience in the past. But from the minute we contacted, Xris and Louise they have been fantastic, they introduced themselves slowly to our 3 (who can be anxious at times) took them for walks prior to the sit which worked amazingly. Communication is fantastic, we had regular updates while we were away letting us know how they were doing. We came home to 3 very happy and very well looked after dogs 🐕. I will definitely be booking again and we have asked for frequent walks to maintain a bond. 5 stars and I'll recommend to anyone I meet. Thanks guys xx

Louise was amazing from start to finish. We abandoned our house to go to our sons wedding, she very kindly looked after our boys and tidied up for me. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending her and Xris to look after your pets and home. If I could give more stars I would ⭐️

Xris and louise was very warm and friendly to talk to and both knew how to handle my 2 and a half year old German shepherd on the meeting alone and was a bit unsure and barky when xris came to walk and him and was best friends by the time they cake back 🤣would definitely recommend xris and louise if your in need of dog walking or any other pet problems you may have ❤️

Brilliant! Odin loved having Xris looking after him! He was very happy and chilled when we come home! They listened so well to learn all they can about Odin and even took him for a walk! Would definitely recommend them to look after your fur baby and would definitely use them again xx

I couldn't recommend these guys enough they stepped in last minute to look after my dogs. Louise took time out if her day to come and meet them all before she stayed the following day. Louise reassured me and put me at ease leaving my dogs in her hands for the day. I had lots of updates and photos though the day. Louise is a true animal lover and so kind and caring. Louise will definitely be a regular at our house and welcomed with open paws!! 🐾 Thanks again!!

We have never had a house sitter before for our 4 dogs, they can be a handful and have their own quirks!! However the second we met Louise, Xris and holly we knew our gang would be truly looked after and spoiled, nothing was too much trouble, and they did everything we do to make sure the dogs routine was the same. Loads of pictures and updates, and our Gina g looked truly sad when they were leaving! Thank you so so much, you guys are amazing and have made our holiday even better knowing our fur babies were looked after xx

Louise and Xris recently looked after my cats whilst I went away on holiday and have been fantastic. Quick and easy to communicate with and had a visiting plan set up within 24 hours. Very caring and professional couple and would definitely ask them to look after my cats again

Brilliant kennels My my german shepherds love it there and walk away from me without looking back. They are so happy there. I would go to this kennels regularly.

My two girls went here for the Christmas period whilst I went away to visit family. No communication regarding updates on my girls after messaging them on numerous occasions. Both girls came back dangerously thin which involved me having to contact my vets for them to be put on supplements to help with their weight gain. Their bed and new Christmas toys and them came back smelling damp along with their harnesses. When I messaged them to say I wasn’t happy with how my girls had been taken care of I got a message saying they were lively with them! And two photos of them on a walk blurry. I do not recommend and will never send my girls here ever again. Personally I would avoid precious pets.

People there were very friendly and helpful when booking for our dogs to stay, when collecting the dogs from their stay, the people who brought them out were friendly, the dogs both looked so happy, and all in all I think they enjoyed their stay! Would highly recommend precious pets for anyone thinking of putting their dogs into boarding!

I'm not really sure how I should review precious pets. The communication prior to my dogs going was amazing. My dogs stayed only 3 days in the kennels as i collected them early due to coming off holiday earlier than expected. I phoned a few times whilst away and was told both dogs were settled and eating and drinking well. On getting home with my dogs I realised one was peeing very frequently...crying to go outside very few minutes but hardly going and then also noticed she was peeing blood. ...an emergency visit to the vet then be diagnosed with a urine infection which she is now on antibiotics and anti inflammatory probably due to not drinking much. I am no way blaming the staff at precious pets as it must be hard to monitor especially when both my dogs shared a kennel. I just wish if something was noticed then I was told. I think a way the service could be improved is maybe If there was an option for photo updates when the dogs were out on their walks or even a live webcam to the kennels. I don't think I will be using kennels again as one of my dogs ovbiosuly found it pretty stressful. Like I said ...I am not blaming precious pets for my dog being unwell They have amazing reviews and that shows for something.

Very helpful and friendly staff... I love the fact that most times when I pick my two dogs up (they only ever do one or two nights) they have even been washed and smell lovely. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They are most definitely not in the middle of nowhere as one review describes.

We use Precious Pets on a pretty regular basis and have used them for a few years now & highly recommend them. Their rates for boarding are reasonable as well...& we have 4 dogs. They offer special rates if you are boarding more than one dog which is an excellent incentive. The staff are brilliant with our hounds too.Our dogs always come home looking fabulous & smelling sweet what more can you ask for? Thanks to Paula & Steve & all the staff x

Hi , my name is Vinnie. I am a dachshund cross. I have been to Dave’s lots of times for my holidays. I get very excited when I realise where I am going. I make lots of new friends and we have lots of fun. Dave sends my family holiday pictures of me looking very happy. If you are looking for a home from home for your dog I can 100% recommend Muddy Paws and Wellies.

Dave looked after our 8 month old Labrador for over a week. We had videos and photos sent every day whilst we were away. This was the 1st time we had left our boy with someone other than family, and he absolutely loved it. The videos sent helped erase our worries if he would be ok, his tail never stopped wagging. His stay also helped with socialising with other dogs which I have found to of helped with his development. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Muddy Paws and Wellies and we have booked again for May. Very highly recommended, thanks again.

Used for boarding following a recommendation, honestly recommend to others. Safe, loving boarding with plenty of exercise. Dog's needs taken into account. Peace of mind for when you can't have your dog with you.

My Labrador Chester absolutely loves going to stay with Dave & Erica. He's stayed with them many many times and is treated like one of their family. We get regular updates and photos so we can see how happy Chester is. He's well looked after and gets lots of lovely walks in the forest. I can highly recommend them.

I can highly recommend Muddy Paws & Wellies after our dogs recent stay there. Millie and Tilly were well cared for, had lots of fun walks and received plenty of love and cuddles from Dave and Erica. We received daily “pupdates” and it was wonderful having complete peace of mind that our precious fur babies were so happy.

A fantastic experience with muddy paws, our beautiful cockapoo has just had the best doggy holiday whilst we have been in Portugal. We got daily pupdates which we really appreciated and it was clear to see he was having the best time!! I am so happy to have been recommended this amazing place in the beautiful forest of Dean for all of our future trips! It’s safe to say our dog is suffering with holiday blues!

Roxie absolutely loves it here - it is well and truly her 2nd Home. Great Doggy Hotel - excellent service and first class care and attention. Roxie always comes back happy and in great condition. Lovely to receive regular photo updates of her fun in the large garden and walks in the attaching Forrest. Dave is great with all of the Dogs and really cares about them. Roxie looks forward to her next Holiday in a couple of weeks time. Michelle & Nick

I wouldn’t want Bailey going anywhere else for his doggy holidays. He’s in safe hands and has a lot of fun with Dave and the family! Love getting pictures throughout his stay. Bailey gets very excited when he realises where he is going which is always lovely to see.

Absolutely fantastic. On very short notice Dave was able to arrange a spot for my anxious dog Reggie and provided us great updates whilst away. Reggie clearly had a brilliant time and was looked after spectacularly. 100% recommended and will definitely be sending Reggie again.

Amazing, would not take my dogs anywhere else. They love going here it’s home from home and they have been going here since they were puppies. Dave is great with the dogs he’s the dog whisperer and really knows his stuff. Lovely setting and wonderful people. Obviously I highly recommend ❤️

Helen and the team are amazing! Our dog is loved and treated so well by the team. We trust them with the safety and enjoyment of our dog and he really doesn't want to come back home he enjoys it that much.

Amazing - my dog comes home tired but not too tired and his pulling on the lead has reduced so much as he is getting the socialisation he had been craving. Love the team, super friendly and Helen really knows her stuff which is a massive bonus. Such a fab location for the dogs to play in

My rescue dog was extremely nervous and Helen is brilliant with him and now our new rescue puppy, who is the opposite, super confident. She trains us owners as well as the dogs, and I think she is a dog whisperer !! We only needed a few lessons, but still go for socialisation and talk to Helen about any issues. Highly recommended

Helen is professional and really looks after the dogs. Buddy is always wagging his tail when we pull up in the morning.

Alison and family looked after my golden retriever Archie for many weeks whilst I was hospitalised. He immediately felt at home, and the daily photos showed how happy he was. I had complete peace of mind knowing he was being so well looked after in a loving family environment and I know he would happily go back to Chadwyns for a holiday! Thank you again!

We were very nervous finding a new place for our little lurcher as he is quite sensitive and had had a bad previous experience with a previous sitter. Also he had not slept on his own before, but Alison was so reassuring and professional and she allayed all our worrie ls when we met. She knows long dogs and their ways and thinks of everything from how she carefully introduces new dogs, to what time of day to put his bed out so he didn’t get worried. I was so impressed with everything she had thought of. He now goes once a week for day care and boards when needed. He excitedly charges round to the gate when we drop him off and he’s always calm and relaxed after a visit and not in a panic to leave, In fact I think he’d quite happily stay. She is so reassuring with updates and we get lovely photos of him playing with his new friends and cuddling the family. With lunchtime treats, a big fenced in field to play in, woodland walks and cuddles galore, it feels like he’s having a holiday too! I appreciate the professional approach with paperwork etc but mainly the utter kindness and love and understanding of dogs. His confidence there from day one is a testament to how carefully she works with them to make sure they succeed. I have gone from being so worried when our previous sitter moved away, to feeling like it was a silver lining. He has a second family with them and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Alison and her family offer a very friendly and professional 'home from home' dog boarding service. Our Labradoodle has stayed a few times this year and we always receive regular updates and photos, which is a great reassurance and comfort to know she has settled in and enjoying herself. There's a large enclosed paddock to play in with walks in the woods to keep her busy and entertained and we would highly recommend Alison to anyone looking for this type of service.

Alison & her family have been great hosts for our two labs recently over 2 weekends and we couldn’t be happier to have found such a professional ‘home stay’ for our girls. They leapt out of the car without a backwards glance when we arrived for our 2nd visit this weekend - and Alison wanted to keep them as she enjoyed having them so much! As for most responsible dog owners, peace of mind is paramount when leaving our dogs in the care of others. We also want to know they are having a great time & Alison has kindly updated me with texts & photos which really helps. She is professional and thorough & knows her stuff. Highly recommended 🥇

We have been building length of stays with our labradoodle over the last year - she needed to socialise more easily with other dogs having been born during COVID. Alison and her lovely family have been superb in building our dog’s confidence, integrating her first with their own dogs and then with the other limited number of ‘guests’ (the dogs literally board in the family home). Our dog has just had a 10-day stay and it was very successful. Whilst on holiday, we received a daily photo and brief update - and detailed feedback on our return. The degree of care and love from the family is second to none - and so reassuring for owners. We can recommend Chadwyns Dog Stop without reservation.

Our 1 year old pup stayed for the weekend and had a ball while we had a dog less break. He clearly had great fun and came home a happy dog. Highly recommended.

Avalon truly is a wonderful person who has your animals best interest at heart. Avalon showed patience and determination with our reactive rescue. Our pup always leaves Avalon's care content and happy. Avalon goes above and beyond to ensure you're informed with any changes and provides cute photographs of visits/walks. I honestly cannot recommend Avalon enough and I thank her for always being at the end of the phone for the best advice.

We are so pleased with Avalon’s service she will always try to accommodate your needs and help adjust your dog to her groups. She spent several weeks getting to know our dog before introducing her to the group and worked very hard to gain her trust. Our dog loves going out for walks with Avalon and all her friends. Avalon came well recommended by our previous pet sitter when she moved away and we couldn't be happier with how things are working out. Holly is a timid puss and Avalon has taken things slowly, letting Holly come to her in her own time, actually quite quickly! With regular updates and videos of Holly's progress, from deciding to say hello to having a cuddle, we couldn't be happier with how things have gone. We can go away knowing that Holly is happy in Avalon's care and have already recommended her to other pet owners.

Avalon is so kind and gentle with our two cats. One of them is quite nervous but they have been comfortable with her from the beginning. She knows exactly how to treat them, giving them time to come to her. She makes sure they have everything they need and is very reliable. and is very reliable. Avalon’s Animal care is by far the best care your dog could receive! In the FoD she is so attentive, very knowledgeable. She gets to know each dogs individual personality and it works so well. Ellie and Charlie absolutely adore her and get so excited when’s she outside ready to pick them up I cannot recommend Avalons work enough.

Avalon is amazing and I highly recommend her. We have a fearful dog with behavioural issues and she has been fantastic with him and his confidence is growing weekly. She is highly knowledgeable about behaviour and shows great care & trust when dealing with our boy. We are so glad that we found her and love getting the updates & fantastic photos after each walk.

From the moment we got in touch with Avalon we knew we had made the right choice. We would highly recommend Avalon to anyone looking for a dog walker. Our 2 dogs Charlie and Twix greet her with the same excitement they do us, which is extremely reassuring and allows us to completely relax when they are with her. Twix in particular has come out of his shell since spending time with Avalon and the other dogs which has been wonderful to see. We cannot thank her enough and know that Charlie and Twix will miss their weekly outings with Avalon and their new friends.

Avalon is brilliant with the dogs, my puppy loves her and I trust her completely to look after her as if she were her own. She genuinely loves the dogs she takes out and gives them the best experience possible every time. Avalon is very reliable and I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Avalon has been totally reliable and sends great videos of my cat. I know I don't have to worry about the animals while I am away.

Our puppy has been walked and taken care of by Avalon a few times a week since she was only a few months old. My pup has absolutely thrived and has learnt so much since being in Avalon’s care! I couldn’t recommend Avalon enough; she is very kind and caring towards the animals she cares for, whilst also teaching them lots of great skills and behaviours. My puppy is always so excited to see Avalon and to go out and okay with her friends! Thank you Avalon for everything you do 😊

I forgot to write this at the time but my little jack chi went to these guys in July. He was a bit nervous on the 1st visit but you can see what incredible care they take of their doggies. When I dropped Milo off for boarding he must of fitted right in. He slept in the bed and had some well behaved little ones to follow for once! They saved my life giving him a spot. Thanks Ian & Jen for your kindness and expertise. I will have him there again if / as needed 👍

Friendly and the dog loves him! Tim has helped me out while one of my dogs is recuperating. He is friendly and instills confidence, and my other dog was so pleased to see him after his 3rd visit she nearly wagged her tail off! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tim, having seen him playing with our dog in the field, she got his full attention for an hour and loved it.

Lulu is a border terrier and she has stayed at giddydogs on many occasions! Highly recommend.
