This sit in Qualicum Beach did not disappoint us. We had 5 pets during this sit, 2dogs and 3 cats.

First the dogs, Bella and Rue loved us up the moment we arrived. We’re not sure they even noticed their mum had left. We had loyal companions the whole 10 days and nights.

Then there were the 3 cats, Cleo the dame of the house let us know when she wanted outside with her loud meows and when she wanted us to let her back in knocked at the window. Yes, she knocked! The twins, Oliver and Eva are still kittens and provided us with plenty of entertainment throughout our stay.

Our host, Joelynn was very cautious due to a previous situation with a “paid” sitter. I believe we alleviated her fears with direct and frequent communication and daily pictures of her beloved fur babies.

The home was tidy and comfortable on the edge of town, with restaurants and walking, hiking, biking trails all within walking distance. We enjoyed this sit and would return if the opportunity arose and we were available.

Joelle
We had a lovely time with Piper, Charlie, Isa and Allie.
Since we have 2 little boys and so does Joelle, it was the perfect sit for us. Joelle was very open-minded and relaxed about the boys using all the toys of her boys. That made many things so much easier for us. We had access to the whole house and Joelle made sure that we would feel very comfortable.
Piper is a beautiful dog who can only walk short distances, due to the fact, that she has 3 legs only. She was great with the kids and always let them know upfront when she needed time for herself, or that her bones should not be touched :). Charlie will be the first to welcome you. He will be around you trying to get attention, to make sure you don't forget to pet him. Allie will also come to check you out quickly. She loves a good rub on the belly and will be in the basement or the cat tree most of the time. Isa you won't see a lot. She is very shy and prefers to stay in the master bedroom. However, if you take the time to communicate to her, she will warm up to you quickly and even play with you.
Burlington is a perfect location, right between Niagara Falls and Toronto. You can walk to the beach within 15min, where you can find a huge playground as well. We enjoyed our sit very much and can only recomend it.

Michael & Ashleigh
Luke was a sweet little lamb the whole week I was there. Ashleigh and Michael left me with incredibly detailed (and entertaining) instructions on how to make sure Luke was properly cared for while they were away. The house is lovely in a historic part of DC. I would definitely take the opportunity to watch Luke again!
