We asked Nancy to arrive the day before we went away so that we could explain in person how the house works and what the dogs like. It was also an opportunity to show Nancy how to access the various walks around us. We had a very enjoyable evening with Nancy and found we had a love of travel and books in common. Nancy sent us regular photos and updates so we knew the dogs were in good hands. When we returned they were very chilled and had obviously enjoyed being looked after by Nancy. The house was very well looked after as well. Nancy kindly watered the greenhouse and pots as the summer finally arrived. We feel privileged that Nancy chose to stay at our house and hope we will stay in touch. Thank you Nancy.
Shakiya was communicative, caring, and so responsible. She was flexible on timing, asked great questions about how to best care for Rudy, and sent us lots of pictures on our weekend away. We came home to a clean and organized house and a happy dog! We can’t recommend Shakiya more! She was so wonderful.
This was a wonderful sit. Johan gave us a good welcome guide with everything we needed to know about Hektor and Sushi before we arrived. Once there we had a two day introduction with Johan and his daughter Yeshy who were kind and hospitable. The house is beautiful and the town of Gatão was very peaceful. We became very fond of Hektor, he is a very gentle dog with a lovely nature. The old railway track was a great route to walk. Hektor sometimes needed encouragement on his walks as he liked to stop. You have to be careful as he puts a lot of things in his mouth! We were sad to leave him. Sushi was very easy and only came in the mornings and evening for food. This is a very clean and organised house which we appreciated. Overall we would reccomend this sit!
