Nelson was an amazing house sitter - THANK YOU SO MUCH NELSON! Nelson took care of our pets, Zara our cat & Tony our French Bulldog for just over a week. He was very reliable, keeping in touch via Whatsapp with beautiful, candid shots of our pets. He kept us up to date with everything we needed to know, he was very polite, organized and efficient. He also had a calm, friendly, energetic & yet also relaxed demeanor which was very good for our pets. Nelson looked after our home very well and everything was left very clean & tidy. I would recommend Nelson to anyone looking for a house sit for their pets. Thanks again Nelson, you are welcome again any time!
Buddy is the best boy. Lesley’s profile perfectly describes Buddy’s delightful personality. He really is that smart and a great communicator! You’ll love taking him for walks and the adorable way he tilts his head when you talk to him. He’s a lot of fun, very companionable and his care routine is simple. The “sit outs” where his local dog friends and their fabulous humans often come to play and chat in the evenings was a special bonus. You will make new friends while Buddy enjoys his! Leslye and Walt are kind and generous hosts. I was comfortable and happy during my stay. Wonderfully located with a sweeping ocean view and easy coastal access, the vibe is a well-loved family home. I took advantage of the pool, rooftop views and nearby state park beaches. Leslye’s communication and support were appreciated and her humor is obvious from the guide. From our first video intro to a comprehensive walk through in advance and having several hours overlap to transition on the first day, she made sure I had all I needed to be well set up. Totally recommend this sit and I’m so lucky to already have more time with Buddy booked!
We enjoyed sitting for Christa and Jim. Rancho Palos Verdes has a country feel that is very relaxing. They have a beautiful, comfortable home and a backyard with lots of plants, fruit trees and a vegetable garden. We cooked in their well appointed kitchen and rarely went out except once to Trader Joe’s for groceries nearby. Our little dog joined their two dogs and had a lot of fun going on walks in the nature area just across the street. We were fortunate to talk with local hikers, artists, and equestrians who live in the area. Rio and Luna were great company. Rio being a senior needed his medication and a little more supervision. Squeaky and Chubbs, the cats, were very sweet and friendly. They come and go through out the day. Andy, the horse, is smart, well cared for and seems half his age. He is a jewel. We would definitely sit for this fun family again!
What a delight staying at the farm! We found the animal duties really manageable and enjoyable, with a fairly quick morning and evening routine that's easy to understand once you've done it a couple of times, feeding the cows, donkeys and chickens. It all feels like such a grounded, ancient thing that is really nourishing. The dogs were very entertaining and lovely. Great for cuddles by the fire and joyful walk around the land. They do playfight a fair bit, which initially worried us, but after discussing this with Julie, we could see that Dilly was perhaps affected by new people in the house so was being more boisterous. She settled after a day and the playfighting was not so troubling. In fact it's quite entertaining! We would thoroughly recommend this house sit if you're looking for a real rural farm experience that is easy to manage. We hope to come here again.
What a wonderful "first sit". We cannot say enough good things about about our first sitting experience. Shelly and Tim were wonderful, warm, welcoming hosts. It was very helpful, as newbies, to get to watch them interact with Circus and Tinkerbell before we watched them alone. We are sure it also helped Circus and Tinkerbell know that were would be "okay substitutes" while their humans were away. Shelly was very thorough in giving directions, showing us around their home, and letting us know what was expected. Circus and Tinkerbell were great companions while we were there. They were loving and very interactive. They also felt comfortable in going to their favorite spots and just chillin'. We feel very blessed to have had this as our first sit and feel it will help us in future sits. Thank you Shelly, Tim, Circus and Tinkerbell!
What a lovely house sit! Christine and Meyrick are two of the most welcoming and gracious home owners. They kindly picked us up from our hotel and took us to collect our rental car. Christine prepared a wonderful meal and we had fun catching up and getting to know one another. The sitter's room is large, bright, sparkling clean and has plenty of space to settle in. Their home and garden are gorgeous and in a perfect location for exploring Hampshire. What sweet, well trained dogs Carys and Selwyn are! Meyrick showed us several walks in the area and we loved taking them out a couple of times per day. They are very good off lead and have excellent recall, thanks to being whistle trained. They really love people and just love hanging out with you. We miss them. This was the perfect house sit for us and we highly recommend it to others. We loved it so much and we are excited to be invited back in 2020.
I had such a wonderful time sitting with Pru & Henry! They are such well natured and affectionate kitties. Jane was so welcoming and left a great “compendium” of information about the house, cats and local area. Any queries I had during the sit I just dropped Jane a message and she was happy to help. The house and surrounding area is beautiful and I had such nice time sitting in sun in the garden with the cats. I would love to sit again for Jane if she needs me in the future!
