Enjoy a taste of "the Good Life" (eating fresh fruit and veg harvested from the garden and collecting the most delicious eggs from three lovely chickens), at this wonderful house sit. Diana has everything set up to make it as straight forward as possible to care for her animals. Millie behaved herself perfectly coming for her daily apple or bunch of cow parsley. She's a sweet low maintenance pony, if ever there was one. Freida is just delightful and so affectionate. She responds beautifully to a pat and dribbles with delight, so be prepared for that. She's also an effective hunter (just bunnies and mice) so learn to look away till she's finished eating, if that upsets you. The chickens were easy to look after and their 'facilities' were easy to manage too. This cottage is warm and comfortable and we were made to feel welcome. It's in a great location for getting to either the coast or Norwich, with lots of attractions to keep you busy. The weather was fantastic, and inspired us to enjoy caring for the garden, and made watering a pleasure. We thoroughly enjoyed our fortnight at this house sit. Thank you Diana.
Lydia land Dave left us with very clear directions, and printed out the guide at our request, as well as demonstrated the feeding, walking, and general care of their wonderful pets. Luna, the cat quickly warmed up to us, giving us her purring motor and kneeding paws, at every bit of attention we gave her. Leah, the puppy, was a constant love, energetic, and wonderfully fun. Fluffy and Fin, the fish, were easy and quiet. A lovely house in a very quiet, comfortable neighborhood, easily assessable to biking trails, walking hikes and all the beauties of the Santa Barbara area. We would have loved to have more time to get to know Lydia and Dave because we thoroughly enjoyed their life while caring for their animals and house. A definite “yes” to this housesit!
I loved sitting for Nina and Nick over the holidays. Frodo is the sweetest cat, with an affectionate and quirky nature that really make him a joy to look after. The house is a lovely, well appointed/equipped townhouse in Putney, super close to everything you could need, the tube, Putney train station, restaurants, several supermarkets, Wandsworth park, and the river. Nina was very communicative and organised, and both Frodo and the house were easy to look after. I only wish I could’ve looked after the dog Zelda too! Would recommend, and would be happy to sit again if you ever need.
Well where shall I start ??? , Let’s start with the resident servants at ( what I like to call ) “Palazzo KEA”. Trish and Stef, they we’re very friendly and welcoming from the moment Trish picked me up at the station with a quick tour around the area showing me all the key places that will be of interest for my 10 day stay through to she kindly dropping me off at the station the following morning after their return home. Then there is the centre of all things at “Palazzo KEA” KEA herself. !!!! KEA is a Manx cat who I nick named “Miss Flat Bum”, given she has no tail and literally a flat rear end, “Thanks to Noah” ( for those who do not understand the Noah reference I suggest you Google Manx Cats and you will learn a lot about why KEA has no tail and also learn about their high level of intellect and their adorably personality ) She will take a day of two to become comfortable with you, even after 10 days I was only graced with at most 15 second of cuddle time holding her I. My arms, yet when the regular servants of Palazzo KEA ( Stefano and Trish returned home within no time she allowed them to hold her in their arms like a new born within minutes. ) During my stay I chose not to drive instead relied on the local bus system ( with a shuttle bus only a few minutes walk that can take you close to the outer suburbs of Perugia and to, connecting bus tops or the Ellera Train Station which gives you direct regional train access to where ever you need in Italy. Palazzo KEA is a lovely 3 level property with history and atmosphere, with the pet sitter/s staging down stairs, the mid level there is the living area and bedrooms on the top level. Naturally KEA has full run on her Palazzo, I often found her patrolling the middle level in the middle of the night, clearly making sure that all things were in order as she wants. So anyone looking to apply for a pet sit at Palazzo KEA will not only enjoy staying in a lovely home full of atmosphere and history, be warmly welcomed by Stefano and Patrica and have the pleasure of KEA, the whole reason you considering applying. I recommend applying. If you want to experience Perugia for the first time as I did or are a returning visitor to the area.
Kate and Dan were great hosts, the house is lovely and there is lots to do in their home. They have lots of old movies and great gaming systems such as VR, PlayStation, a small exercise space in the basement, a great yard area and outside seating to enjoy any weather. The icing on the cake is being able to spend time with Maple and Soot! They both love people and they both love lots and lots of cuddles. If you are a sitter who loves pets as cuddle buddies while you sleep, you are in for a treat with these two. They are soft, cuddly and playful. I would sit for them whenever. Kate was very supportive during my sit and was sure to send me pics of the awesome places she had visited!
I had a fabulous time looking after Lochy and staying at Kate’s beautiful home. Lochy is just adorable, he’s loving, affectionate, playful and overall well behaved. We became the best of friends very quickly and he stole my heart. It was a very hot weekend so we went for early morning and late evening walks within the area. Lochy is great off the lead, he has very good recall and will keep checking to see where you are. Each day we went for different walks straight from the front door. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. While at the house together Lochy would often be by my side or follow me around and if I needed to pop upstairs he would be waiting at the bottom of the stairs. He is also happy lying around with his chew toys. Upon my arrival I was met by Kate who is so lovely and welcoming, and was made to feel at ease very quickly. Kate went through Lochy’s schedule and a tour of the house before leaving. As the weather was so good I spent most of my time in the large garden which backs onto fields and the views are just stunning. I did venture out to the local village one evening for a pub meal at the Red Lyon (as recommended by Kate.) I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this sit and would look after Lochy again in a heartbeat 💙
