We were very pleased to sit for Helen and Steve in August and September 2022 and enjoyed our time there very much. Welcomed with open arms and warm hospitality we had a great social night upon our arrival and some good laughs. Helen and Steve have a lovely home in a beautiful area far enough out of town to feel very rural, yet only 8 minutes drive into town and everything you need. Pets were very, very easy to care for and the two big dogs Betty and Wilma have lovely personalities and are very affectionate. They're big, but big softies.....unless you're a wild boar or fox probably! They love to go out for walks and we spent quite a few of them walking around the nearby lake which they adore. Natalie the cat is the epitome of feline self sufficiency but likes affection too. AND the goats are a laugh, really fun to watch and quite easy to feed. They're escape artists, the small ones, but like any sensible farm animal, they respond well to the rattle of feed in a bucket and can be herded as such if needed. We met some of our hosts friends and all were very easy to get on with and good fun. This was a really easy sit for us compared to some others which can require quite a bit of time input, this was such a relaxed sit it felt like a holiday! There is also plenty to see in the area, make sure to get Steve to fill you in on all the attractions. A vehicle is pretty essential for this sit and it's great for a couple...lovely home. Actually the guys let us use their second car, so maybe not entirely a necessity.... Thanks for having us Helen and Steve, we hope to see you again not too far down the road! This was just such a wonderful sit. I had the opportunity to briefly meet Jonny and Becca who were so kind and friendly. All communication was great and they gave clear instructions on how to look after everyone. The cats were such characters. Each had their own personality and kept me thoroughly entertained. Terry was easy to look after and a little cutie too. The house is in a great location. Quiet with easy access into the city centre. It has everything you need and is beautiful throughout. I’d highly recommend this sit and wouldn’t hesitate to go back 😀
Incredible location with the most endearing dynamic duo of Merlin & Arthur! They are extremely sweet and affectionate cats who both love to play, snug, and be actively loved. Glory and Ben are very kind hosts with a lovely place, so peaceful and far away from any street- you cannot hear a single car! Great to cycle around Palos Verdes & enjoy views of the jagged coastline. Glory & Ben we're very organized with a detailed packet of everything I needed to know about the neighborhood and taking care of their furboys. Would definitely sit again and recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with amazing companions.!!
We had a Pawfect time taking care of lovely Bean. Kyla and her lovely family was so warm and welcoming and even cooked us a delicious Mac n Cheese. Kyla is very kind and organised and she will take the time to give you all the information you need for your stay and more! She even showed us some of Beans favourite trails and was very communicative throughout our stay! The house was in a fantastic location with beautiful views across the Kamloops bluffs and so many wonderful trails we was really spoilt for choice. The house was perfect and had everything we needed and more. We even had use to the hot tub which was amazing! Bean was such a pleasure to look after, she came across shy at first but quickly warmed up to us after a first walk and food she was our best friend. She loved going on a daily adventures with us and is very well behaved and affectionate. We had such an amazing time bonding with Bean and exploring the area, we were sad to leave and would definitely return in a heartbeat! Our only regret was due to our tight schedule we were unable to spend more time with Kyla and her lovely family. Thank you so much for everything we are so happy to of made wonderful memories with beautiful Bean.
This is a great sit in a lovely, clean, large home in a nice quiet street in South London. Amanda was very friendly and welcoming and we had great communication before and during the sit. She emailed a well written guide about her home and Wilbur well ahead of the sit which is always appreciated. Now onto Wilbur! Wilbur is a gorgeous Labrador who I felt I bonded with straight away, and really enjoyed his company. He was absolutely no trouble inside or outside the home. A very chilled dog that likes to play with his teddies by day and relax with you by night. A lovely dog to be around. He wasn't fussed about other dogs or people when out and about and never went too far away when off lead. A quick whistle and he came back swiftly! Very much looking forward to returning in a few weeks to see Wilbur and do it all again 😁 Thanks Amanda and Wilbur!
Alex and Mads and they're amazing pets are why I love this experience. Great, super welcoming humans who made us feel so comfortable in their home. Nico, Disco, and Meow were a joy to watch the entire time. It was honestly super sad leaving them as we really enjoyed our time together and I look forward to watching them in the future. Communication was a breeze and minimal as the pets are a dream to watch. Great house and location - it was the perfect place to spend the holidays. I miss their pets already and am super grateful for Alex and Mads for letting us watch them while they were away. Highly highly recommend this sit!
