Wow, we were floored at how great Martina "held down the fort" and allowed us to travel with peace of mind! It was our first zeewoi experience and I think we lucked out ... I felt like family was caring for our dog. She was mindful and sent us occasional photos of the daily walks (which we did not require), texted updated about the dog, and even asked thoughtful detail questions about the home (like if the porch light should remain on during the night, recycling details, what is the garbage pick-up day, etc?) When we returned, our dog Miss Mae was so relaxed and happy! and the house was cleaner than any of our grown kids would have left it, lol. I would hire her again anytime and highly recommend her to other home owners.
Ernesto went above and beyond to give excellent care and attention to our pets. Several days into our vacation, our tortoise had an emergency and thankfully Ernesto noticed right away, called me and we were able to get the help of a neighbor to get this 86lb boy to the vet. After two emergency room visits and a very long night, Ernesto and our neighbor were able to bring Omnom home until we arrived. Once the tortoise was situated at the correct hospital, Ernesto graciously stayed and completed the sit so we could return to our family reunion/vacation. Ernesto has a calming presence which helped our normally high energy dogs feel at ease. He took great care with our pets and home and would not hesitate to book him again.
Patrick was very reliable and easy to communicate with. He did a great job taking care of our dog and cat, and I would definitely recommend him to others.
If you get invited to sit for this family you should jump at the chance! They are the warmest and friendliest people you could wish to meet, and they were very kind to our seven-year-old. The three cats have very different personalities: Rufus was very friendly and won our daughter’s heart by sleeping on her bed; Bowie was in his own little world, and enjoyed chatting and a bit of fuss when he fancied it; Flo was the most independent and we didn’t see that much of him, which we worried about sometimes but he was absolutely fine (and loved his treats). The house is spacious and very light, with interesting artwork and photography on display, and gorgeous house plants everywhere giving a feeling of tranquility and peace. The home is very well equipped, with everything you need for cooking, dining and cleaning. The outlook onto the garden is wonderful, with more greenery. The plant-watering doesn’t take very long. The house is on a quiet, safe, pretty street in West Hampstead, yet only minutes from shopping hubs, delightful cafes on West End Lane and transport links at Finchley Road and West Hampstead. I wholeheartedly recommend this sit if you are lucky enough to be invited.
I had a wonderful time looking after Brutus. As would be expected he was initially a bit cautious of me but after a little while, he was asking for pats and sitting on my lap and wanting to play :-) He was such a sweetie and I loved spending time with him. Brad and James are really lovely and were quick to respond to any queries. I would definitely recommend this sit!
