Michael and I really enjoyed our housesit at Annie's. Percy and George the dogs were delightful and very easy to look after as was Saffy the sweetest cat. The chickens were no problem at all. We had such a nice time in Trudi and Martin's home with Johnny and Pixie. We got to their house a day before Trudi and Martin left on their holidays, which gave us time to be able to get to know each other, about German culture and how to look after the dogs during a lovely meal they prepared for us. We were able to take the dogs for a walk with them, so they could show us some good trails to go on. They also provided us with a detailed list of instructions and useful information, which was very helpful. Johnny and Pixie are such lovely dogs! They are both quite old, so they don't walk very fast. But they are very enthusiastic to go on their walks and love to get out and about. Johnny especially likes looking for hedgehogs (as did we!). They enjoyed pats and cuddles and sitting with us, whether in the backyard or the loungeroom. Trudi and Martin's home has a beautiful grassy backyard, where we spent many hours relaxing. Only 5 minutes walk away is a supermarket, pharmacist, bakery and bottleshop. They were kind enough to loan us their bicycles, so we were able to ride to the next villages. We enjoyed our time here immensely and highly recommend this sit if you get the opportunity. Thanks Trudi and Martin - let's keep in touch!
It was such a pleasure to meet Richard and Rachel; they are incredibly warm, sincere and generous. Saffie is adorable with boundless energy and she loves cuddles. With her giant football she covers every inch of the orchard and has the dribbling skills to rival any recipient of Le Ballon d’Or!! Richard and Rachel have created a very happy feel to their beautiful home and I would love to return to look after Saffie again 🐾🐾❤️
Nikki was an excellent host ! She make me feel comfortable and like home. I absolute love her dog . I actually thought about them today. That’s was a good experience and I would definetly go back if the occasion come. She was receptive and caring . I had good time in such nice neighborhoods and dog 💕
Penny and Buddha were some of the most well behaved dogs we have ever had the privilege of looking after. When we first arrived Lauren and Alex warned us that Penny can be reactive to other dogs in the apartment building, however, given how well trained both dogs are we found getting in and out (even with other dogs around) easy with a few treats. From the moment we stepped through the door Penny and Buddha made us feel loved and welcome. They are well behaved on the lead and are patient while waiting for food. Daniel and I loved our morning and afternoon walks with Penny and Buddha, especially given Lauren provided us advice about the best routes to take. Lauren and Alex's place is amazing. The apartment building itself has all the amenities we could want and is so close to public transport. We were able to walk across to the supermarket and to the coffee shop without any trouble at all. Finally the bed, I can honestly say it was one of the best nights sleep I have ever had. Even with both dogs sleeping with us, we had more than enough space and were only woken by the sun rising over the Lake. I would love to look after Penny and Buddha again and would give Lauren and Alex more stars as hosts if I could.
Great house sit for Gracie, who was a sweetie, but a bit nervous at first. She enjoyed short walks and showed us where to go! She was a delight to look after. Cosy house with great shops and cafes within walking distance. Excellent communication with Ed and Josie throughout.
