This was a perfect pet sit. Marie was friendly, impeccably organized and a considerate host. I enjoyed meeting her and her two shy kitties Ben and Jack. After a week with Ben I finally coaxed him to roll on his back for some belly rubs. Jack was a bit tougher to crack but eventually he was allowing me to give him plenty of neck rubs too. Marie anticipated everything I would need to make sure her babies were well taken care of. Two feeders were timed to disperse food at several intervals throughout the day. Her guidebook was very thorough which is always appreciated! I give her (and Jack and Ben) my highest endorsement. I hope to see them all again on a future sit.
Wash & Jeff are adorable kitties and very attached to each other, which is remarkable for two boys. They are quite shy, but it makes the small wins even more rewarding. They both love to hang out in their garden and are easy to care for. Ellie and Lucas are great. They had everything organised and ready, were always available to answer questions, and went out of their way to make me comfortable. Their home was cosy, clean, well equipped and relaxing. Thanks for a very nice sit!
Very welcoming and communicative hosts and a beautiful home with a stunning view. Nala is smart and curious, she may observe you for a day or two but warms up quickly after. Really a great experience, would highly recommend.
The apartment is perfect located, about 6’ walk from the Main Train station. The kitchen is fully equipped, the very good coffee shop is right downstairs. The cats are super easygoing and provide with hospitality from the first moment we met, despite Milou might need to get more time in the beginning to get to know me better )). Stephanie and Mohit are super friendly and nice people, we stayed in touch during the whole sit.
We thoroughly enjoyed petsitting Willa, Dilly, and Moppet. The house was comfortable, and their routines were easy to follow. We enjoyed some lovely walks around the area and would happily encourage others to apply for this sit.
Alex and Marike are a friendly couple, and explained everything well. They were flexible with our son staying with us. Maxx is a quiet, friendly, content dog who just wants to be close to his humans. He is easy to take care of, and you can enjoy walks with him on scenic paths in the area. The very spacious house has a beautiful view onto the Swiss mountains and a lot of comforts. Recommended sit!

Cindy is very reliable and trustworthy. She is efficient and punctual. It is such a great feeling knowing our pets are well taken care of when we are away. Cindy sent us videos of them and we were able to see how happy our dogs were with her.
I used to be a loyal customer and highly recommended them, but I unfortunately can no longer support them after having a deeper understanding of their protocols. Before getting into the worst of it, I'd like to point out that they have astro turf which unsurprisingly causes dogs' feet to get irritated on hot days. In their report cards, they will simply say they noticed they were getting irritated and treated them, but probably won't tell you why unless you ask. I started as a client with my husky Freya. Unfortunately she died in their care due to unknown causes. Their story was she was outside and started having irregular breathing, so they took her inside where she collapsed and died. She was 9 and had glaucoma, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt even though she was otherwise a healthy dog who had no problems going on 3-5mile runs with me when the weather wasn't too hot. Looking back, maybe I should have been more skeptical. When I got another husky mix, Loki, I started boarding him there and he loved it. However after a little over a year of boarding him there with no major issues other than being an overly enthusiastic husky puppy, he developed a food aggression issue while in their care. Freya had some food aggression issues when I first got her and I have taken care of multiple dogs with the problem before, so I am very well educated on prevention and training for it. When I asked about their feeding protocols, they stated that they simply drop the food in front of the dog, leave the room for an hour, and then come back in to take it away to get pressure washed whether there is food left or not. When Loki first demonstrated food aggression, their response was to attempt to remove the bowl with their foot or a fake prosthetic hand. This is textbook what not to do and will absolutely CAUSE AND INTESIFY food aggression. When I pointed this out and suggested that they should implement standard sit/stay feeding protocol, use redirection techniques, or to not try to take the food bowl away while the dog is still in the room, their response was essentially that they don't have time to do that and don't want to train their staff in standard dog handling practices. They even commented that past customers have suggested the same thing. This tells me that they are entirely aware that their protocols can cause food aggression and that they refuse to do anything about it. Apart from this incident, Loki seemed to love all the workers I saw him interact with. They all looked on the younger side, but they were extremely friendly and positive. I just wish the owners cared enough to train them better.
From my work account 3 years ago: I have a Husky mix who’s a handful, mindful but energetic. The staff have always been patient and loving towards Luna. I feel blessed to live close enough to use Local Bark. Last year I traveled almost 70% of the time for work. If it wasn’t for them I’m not sure how I would’ve gotten by… EDIT: I have since moved to Midtown Sacramento so I no longer go there but or Pomeranian gets groomed at their Power Inn location "Response from the owner 2 years ago Oh Luna! 🤗 She keeps us on our toes and we love that crazy girl so much! Amazing staff. Reasonable prices. All types of services from Daycare and Boarding, to Grooming, to Day Training, Boarding School, and Puppy Prep School. THEY EVEN HAVE A WALK-IN POOL MADE SPECIAL FOR THE DOGS!! Large & Small Dogs are welcome, as well as PITBULL FRIENDLY!!! You can tell the staff LOVE dogs, and genuinely care about what they do. Very trustworthy, welcoming, and easy to leave your pets with. The girls at the front desk and attentive and polite, and make things like checking-in your dog, or providing any information needed about the business easy. I highly recommend The Local Bark for all your Dog Care, Boarding, Grooming, Training, and occasional swimming needs!
Our dog has a great time at Local Bark... always comes home happy and tired. It's awesome that they have a pool that he can enjoy, one of the reasons I picked Local Bark in the first place. The facilities appear to be very clean and the staff are always nice. Oh, and they post pictures every day on their facebook page... so it's fun to see what your dog has been up to. Definitely recommend!
We love the Local Bark! Our dog has been coming here since she was a puppy ( she is now 9! ). We don’t use it as often as we did in the past as their prices have gone up, but when we need care for her overnight this is our go to place. They have different sized “rooms” for the dogs to stay, all day play time out back and offer grooming services as well. Our dog is happy here!
There is nothing that excites our yellow lab, Austin, more than going to the Local Bark. I usually take Austin to the Local Bark, but the first time my husband took him he passed the turn to go in to the Local Bark. Immediately Austin started barking and vocalizing. We are sure he was saying, "Dad, you missed it! You missed it! Turn around! Turn around now!! Austin just graduated from their 18 day in house training. Ivyonnne is a great trainer and Austin has made great strides in his obedience and self control. The Local Bark is an absolutely wonderful place for dogs. Austin gives it five paws up.
My puppy is very energetic and needs to socialize more with doggy friends. This was his first day at his evaluation. It made my day when I saw his picture, he looks happy and looks like he's smiling. He was happy and very tired when I picked him up because he must have played a lot. I will definitely take him on a regular basis.

Editing my review after picking up my dog.I'm so happy I found a good boarding facility! The local bark is definitely a five-star place. My big mush of a pitbull really enjoyed her 13 night stay here over Christmas!I love the pictures I got to see on Facebook of her enjoying herself. I picked her up and she was so happy and clean, they gave her a bath for me. She's practically dancing in the waiting room while we were leaving. I like that the local bark has the most rigorous vaccine requirements in the areabecause my dog came home very healthy so I appreciate it! Also not much more expensive than any place around it's affordable in my opinion and they provide trusting and safe care for your dogs. Highly recommended I will definitely use again!

Hillary’s House is a bonafide gem in dog sitting and boarding. She is the alpha mama and the dogs respect and adore her (and her family!). Absolutely the most wonderful dog boarding you can find. This place is a home away from home for our pet. Hillary and family take care of the dogs at their home as their own. My pet recently completed a long stay (about a month) at Hillary's pet care and was taken care of very well. Highly recommend Hillary's House for anyone looking for a dog care.

This kennal is located in a private residence. The dogs stay in the persons home, garage and yard. Our dogs seemed to have liked it.

Was so lucky to have found Stacey! Just moved to the area and was worried about who was going to watch them. Stacey was great, stopped by to get to know the kitties, their schedule and personalities. Stacey also checked in each day with updates and photos. I felt secure knowing they were all taken care of. Looking forward to my next trip knowing I won’t have to worry about them.

Our boy Vinz just had his first stay with Stacey and Steven. They were amazing! So patient with our boy since he is still a pup! They sent pictures while we were away and let us know how he was doing throughout his stay. This gave me great peace of mind since it was our first time leaving him. You can see how passionate they both are about animals and love knowing how happy Vinz was. We will definitely be using Pawsome pets again!!

They took great care of my dog, I loved getting pictures, videos and updates daily. My dog came home so happy, clean and well cared for ! The property is well fenced and kept my dog in , she was able to run and explore all she wanted. Our miniature poodle stayed at Pawsome Pet Services while we went on vacation. I received daily text updates and pictures which was great. Pawsome Pets is awesome! Like many of us, my dogs are my babies and when they’re at Pawsome Pets, they’re treated like a member of their family! They have full run of the house and yard. I get daily pictures of them playing with other pups or snuggling in the owner’s lap etc. Pawsome Pets allows me to go on vacation without worrying about my babies at all. They think they’re on vacation!!

I absolutely love the people—every single one of them—who take care of my dog. More important is that my dog loves going there. Whenever I turn down Sierra Ponds my pup begins to shriek with delight. When we arrive I almost have to restrain him from wanting out of our car and head to the back when he goes inside. The staff truly are a delight to deal with and they treat him like a rock star. On the few times I have to travel out of town it gives me supreme confidence knowing that he is being loved and well taken care of. My dog has been fortunate to go there for well over a year now. I wish I had written this sooner to bless them because they have blessed me and my dog. I cannot imagine taking him anywhere else. He is part of the family there.

I was flying out to work a horse show for 2 weeks and looked at many dog kennels to watch my 9 year old dog. Most would have cost me more money to have my dog in a cage for 2 weeks than I pay for my horse to be boarded for 3 months. On top of it all, my dog has separation anxiety from being a pound puppy. So, finding a place that didn't just have her in a cage all the time was a must. Not only was this place affordable, but they had the option for my dog to be taken out on nature walks. Since my dog is used to being loose at all the barns I work at, this was perfect for her. When I picked her up, she was happy in great shape and even groomed. She looked like she was a puppy again. I highly recommend Granite Bay Kennels and will be using them again if I'm unable to bring my dog with me to the shows.
I left a first time boarder at Granite Bay for 10 days. I was worried my 3 yo German Shorthaired Pointer would not do well and stress out and lose weight. I was pleasantly surprised he was happy and in great condition when I picked him up! In perfect weight, clean and content. I would recommend this Boarding Kennel 100% and the staff are wonderful.
Left my Cavalier here for 4 days, Picked him up that day He was sick the next day throwing up all day diarrhea all day took him to the vet. Cost me $1200 to find out he had gardia. I called and let them know and they did nothing
Granite Bay Kennels is the only place I will take my dogs!! My favorite part is that the dogs are able to play outside for most of the day instead of sitting inside. The workers have been there for years, so it's always great to see the same faces. I love this place and all the employees!
A beautiful place with beautiful dogs well kept. Very professional and friendly. We were very pleased. Besides rescuing a beautiful breed of dog, the Alaskan Malamute they also provide Kennel services. We will do business with them again in the future.
I bring my own dog and my mom's 2 miniature dachshunds here, wonderful place. They have an awesome bogo deal on nature walks and my dog is an Alaskan malamute and they give her amazing grooms before she comes home. Could never bring my girl anywhere else.

I took my two pit bulls here to stay while we were on Vacation and the dogs we very well taken care of and they were so happy. Every time I bring them back they are so excited and they love it here
The groomer charges extra for everything outside of the bathing. 10.00 extra if you want your dog combed after shampooing, 25.00 for clipping nails and if you want any fur trimmed it's 10.00 per area. What normally costs me 65.00 from my regular groomer was up to 125.00 by the time I became disgusted and walked out. I was fortunate enough to let the older couple know why I was leaving and they Thanked me and left with their 2 dogs as well. This groomer definitely needs to get updated in this profession before continuing to advertise as a groomer.
We are so grateful to have found the team at Barkers's. Their scheduling and payment system is easy to use. They did a home visit to learn about our alarm, where pet supplies are stored, etc, so they could provide the best care. Most importantly they put such care into looking after the pets. I get a text after each visit with a little update. We love our fur baby and I trust Barkers Pet Care enough to have recommended them to a number of my friends.
I have known Kathy for years and she has a passion for animals. I recommend her often.

We could not be more happy with the service provided by Pawsitive Vibes! Our dog is treated like one of their own and that is hard to find. Our girl gets all the playtime, walks, and snuggles during her stays. Another amazing thing is that you will get pictures and videos of your pup having fun playing and out on walks. Our girl starts to get excited when we pull into the neighborhood because she knows she about to have a great day or sometimes a few days at Pawsitive Vibes! Our dog loves Pawsitive Vibes. He knows when we get close and starts to squeak with excitement and cannot wait to get out of the car and go in. He is always happy and chill when we pick him up because he gets to play and go on some outdoor adventures while he is there. We are so grateful to have found good care for our sweet border collie!
