Ray and Lynn were wonderful house (and critter) sitters! We spoke before the sit, and they were also able to stop by my home right before the sit so that they could get “acclimated” to the house, but, more importantly, to also get acquainted with Anna, Tortie , and me—which I really appreciated!
They arrived as planned, took excellent care of my critters, and left my house spotless. Furthermore, they sent photos and updates periodically, which I really appreciated. In short, Ray and Lynn were “five-star” house sitters in every way!
I really cannot thank or praise them enough!
My sit in Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala from 27 Jun─22 Jul, 2024 was an excellent experience from start to end. I'm smiling while I write my honest feedback about my experience with Phyllis and the privilege that it was to care for the sweetest animals and in the most beautiful home! I experienced the absolute highest and most positive outcomes that a sitter can hope for. I was so relaxed and happy that I accidentally missed the review window for the previous housesit that was also a 5-star treat. I’ve been housesitting for nine months and can confidently state that Phyllis has raised the bar for what a 5-star experience should be, across all categories. Phyllis' communication was excellent; she provided all the information I needed for a smooth sit and set me up for a successful tourist experience while in the Antigua region. Likewise, Phyllis' hospitality was excellent. Her and Blaine made me feel welcomed and comfortable in their home and within their community. They made helpful introductions to neighbors, and I was treated with kindness throughout my stay as the neighbors checked in on me and made kind gestures to enhance my time. Phyllis' maintains a stunning home with a beautiful garden. The overall cleanliness exceeded my expectations. Twice a week staff came to clean for the duration of my nearly one month stay. This meant that the beauty, cleanliness and tidiness of the home was continuously maintained both inside and outside of the property. The house staff were friendly, efficient and I could see that Phyllis treated them with high regard just by her sweet gesture of preparing snacks with coffee or tea for each employee. Phyllis taught me the unique preferences of each employee and how much sugar to include in their café or té. I found her attention to detail and expressing care in this way quite endearing so I took pride in continuing this snack and beverage routine for the staff, in her absence. All four of the pets behaved excellently. Pet care requirements were clearly communicated to me before the sit and were not difficult to honor. I have never found a more agreeable four pets living in harmony under one roof. They are affectionate and good-natured, kind animals that never showed tension or aggression towards me and who were easy to bond with. I genuinely miss spending time with and babying them, especially because I am currently suffering through an awful and flea-infested house sit in Panamá. I was able to hold and cuddle Sparky the cat and all three dogs were eager to sleep in the bed with me, or at the foot of the bed within the first day of my sit. Like velcro or like adorable four-legged shadows, whenever I moved, the dogs perked up and followed. When I relocated to the balcony lounge chairs, they followed. When I swam, they rested nearby. Each pet’s temperament and needs matched what I had expected from reading the listing and speaking with Phyllis prior to arriving - I absolutely loved every moment! The listing was completely accurate. In fact, there is no way that I could have known just how beautiful and peaceful the home and pet energy was...it filled me with gratitude daily.
Had a wonderful time pet sitting Pattoo. He is such a cute, joyous, sweet bundle of energy. Was pretty straightforward to give him food, take him on walks, go to the park nearby the house, and play with him during the day. Very cute and happy puppy. Ahmad and Shay's place is absolutely gorgeous and super comfortable. It has everything you might need to work remotely and/or spend a few days in peace in Kensington. Ahmad and Shay were very generous and easy to communicate with. Would 100% recommend pet sitting for them.
Steve left a detailed description for the care and feeding of each pet and their relationships with one another that put me at ease right off the bat. Their home was beautiful, organized and welcoming. Beds and bathrooms were clean and well-lit. Samson was a delight and Juno playful and very interested in Sydney's food as warned. Communication was timely before, during, and after the sit. I'd be happy to return to their home and care for their fur babies again.
I was so lucky to be able to pet sit for Samantha and her husband! Both animals are incredibly cute and have lovely, easy-going personalities. I enjoyed my twice daily walks with Waylon and we spotted an array of birds and tons of bunnies throughout the quiet neighborhood! He’s very independent and enjoys sunning in the backyard. I was able to work quietly on the couch with him laying next to me, keeping me company. Noel is incredibly adorable, with a very sweet disposition and a playful spark when it comes to her ping pong balls. The home is very clean, comfortable and relaxing. Samantha was kind enough to give me a tour of the space prior to the sit and I enjoyed getting to chat with her. Genuinely, just a very welcoming, gracious, and thoughtful couple! Would 100% recommend this sit and would love to return another time. Thanks so much guys!
