We absolutely loved our three weeks in Edinburgh with Jozi, Schnappes and Guinness.
Jozi is a sweet dog, she is super affectionate and lovable. She can be a little nervous around other dogs so we just tended to cross the street and avoid interactions where possible to keep her tail wagging.
You'll struggle to find two cats more friendly and affectionate than Guinness and Schnappes! They love to be petted and to have their bellies rubbed like a dog!
The house is in a great location in Murrayfield with an easy tram into the city centre. The house is really spacious with a great garden and pizza oven.

Genna and Brent are great hosts, laid back but ensure you have the right information to make sure you look after the pets and home easily.

Oh, my gosh, I have never felt so comfortable in a home in all my years. Kristine and her family were welcoming and generous, sharing their furry family, garden, and home. If you require puppy love in your stay, you will definitely get that here! If you want kitty purrs, you'll get that, too. Outdoorsy and active? The family happily shares their paddle boards, bicycles, and cars. Plus, there is a running dog in the family, so you never have to run alone. If you're a laid back walker, they have a doggity for that, too. The back yard is a wonderful place to read, with a garden, lemon trees, and hot tub. As for being comfortable and feeling at home in a home that is not my own, I offer this: the house simply reveals exactly where a person should drop her keys and kick her shoes as soon as she enters. Santa Cruz has a great vibe, the people are friendly, and the area is gorgeous. I would return in a heartbeat, should the chance arise.

Rhonda
I had an amazing time with Bramble. She is such a sweet and quiet princess. Once one aproach her or she aproaches one she begins to purr! She is a bit reseved at first in a typical cat way but later becomes more and more affectionate.
She is a super easy to care for and amazing with taking pills. I'd love to stay with her anytime in the future.
Rhonda was an amazing host providing me with anything I might need and useful informations about the house and Bramble. She is a wonderful person to talk to and her home is very comfortable, clean and full of amazing books.
It was really a loveable sit!

Juliana
We absolutely loved staying at Juliana & Phil’s beautiful, sunny apartment. We spent every morning and evening on the balcony. The location is perfect, close to the station and all the necessary shops are nearby. The city is a quick train ride away.

Phil & Juliana were very easy going, thoughtful and pleasant.

And of course, we fell in love with Wanda. She is a very playful, curious and chatty cat. She is very easy to look after and she’s beautiful.

We would definitely recommend this place. If you are lucky enough to see this apartment available on dates that suit you, go ahead and apply. You won’t be disappointed.

Susan
Susan’s home was gorgeous and her dog Storm & two felines, Bootsie & Coco, were sweeties. I appreciate that we talked by phone a few times beforehand to get to know each other, since I was traveling from Arizona. She made me feel right at home as I spent my first night there to take her & her children to the airport the next day. Their guest bedroom was comfortable and I was provided with guidelines to take the best care of home, pets, cars, etc. All the animals have their specific routines, of course, and I fell into step with them easily.

I also appreciated that I could connect with Susan’s friend about their dog Storm’s recovery from recent surgery. I was concerned about Storm’s wound not healing fast enough and Susan’s friend was sweet to come by & check up on her/us. We then made an executive decision that I take Storm to the vet, to be sure. I prefer being overly cautious when it comes to pets’ health. The vet was right around the corner & Storm was considered good to go.

While Susan & her family were away, we communicated via text so I could send her updates on her fur babies and keep in touch. Their clothes dryer broke while I was there so I was able to get repair set up. I love being able to help my people out like that because I have people do that for me when I travel! Finally, I felt fortunate to have this housesit because my family was stationed in this particular town when I was growing up; visiting old friends and my old school were definitely a highlight.
Susan’s house/petsitting opportunity was an absolute pleasure ~ I highly recommend her home. fur family and welcoming personality. Thanks Susan!
