I had a lovely few days with Branston, Pickle and the chickens in Claire’s beautiful home in the Warwickshire countryside. The dogs are both great characters… very gentle and friendly. They are fun to take on walks across the country paths from the house and are really good in the house too. The chickens are very easy to look after and the dogs and chickens are funny to watch as they interact- especially Branston quietly stalking the chickens and then running backwards if they get closer to him! The house is lovely. Very comfortable and I spent a lot of time at the kitchen table with the warmth from the Aga and Pickle gently snoring from his little bed under a side table. Claire was friendly and communicative and gave me clear instructions when I arrived.. Really recommend this housesit!
