Staying at Margaret’s home with Olive was a great sit. Their home is comfortable, in a good, safe location in Marrakech and you can walk or take a taxi to anywhere easily. Watching Olive was special. Olive is a sweet, trusting, senior pug who basically just needs her 3 meals a day and comfort and care but she is not at all high maintenance. Just the opposite- she loves to eat, sleep and do laps throughout the apt and onto the balcony. She does not require outside walks but she does need to be carried outside to do her bathroom trips a few times during the day/ at night. She is really comfortable being lifted up and down and is used to taking the elevator while in your arms, so it’s never a fuss, just worth mentioning this detail. Margaret explained this all ahead of the sit and showed me on the night before, when I arrived. Overall Olive is very easy to care for and to fall in love with. I would sit for Olive again because Margaret (her mom!) was a great communicator and made everything comfortable, inviting and pleasant for me to have a great stay.
My 6 week stay in Tiburon taking care of sweet Sophie was amazing! Barbara and Paul are the best hosts you could ask for. They are so kind and generous, I felt immediately comfortable with them. I stayed with them for a couple of days before the sit to ease the transition for Sophie and it was like staying with family. They both went above and beyond to answer any questions, address any issues, and make me feel welcome. Since the sit, they have become cherished friends and I’m grateful this site brought them (and Sophie!) into my life. House: Paul and Barbara take pride in their home and it shows. It’s lovely, light-filled, and meticulously clean with stunning views of the bay. Plus a beautifully landscaped backyard (with doggy door) for Sophie (or you!) to run around. The house is safe, private and quiet, a serene escape from the city. I often found myself just gazing out the window, admiring the views. The Tiburon bike path is right down the road for lovely strolls along the water. There’s also lots of hiking within a short drive. It rained a lot so I spent much of my time in the house, but I’m sure Tiburon in the summer is even more glorious. Sophie: oh sweet Sophie. This dog stole my heart. She’s the most entertaining little creature. She seems to be part cat- able to leap onto stools and climb trees. She still has some of her puppy energy - she is a sweet cuddle bug in the house and once she’s outside, that terrier prey drive kicks in. And she is FAST. Outside the house, she should always be kept on leash. She has a great car seat and she loves the car so when I went out I usually brought her. She’s dog friendly and loves to run around with other dogs in enclosed areas. She has certain people she LOVES and you’ll feel so lucky to be one of them. She’s the best. Highly recommend!
We had a lovely week with Winston and Bella! Lauren and Josh have a beautiful and cosy home where we both felt very comfortable. They are super welcoming and kind, and made us feel right at home immediately! Winston is super energetic and loves to play. He’s great off the lead, has amazing recall and only has eyes for you and his ball. He’s so cuddly and affectionate, will miss him lots! Bella is a stunner and very gentle. Although she’s shy, she comes out of her shell at playtime and definitely warmed to us, just be patient with her! We would love to look after them again, and keep in touch! Overall such a good experience for us♥️ We felt as though we could ask Lauren and Josh anything, and as they’d shown us where everything was before etc. we honestly felt at ease the whole sit!
Over the three years we've been house sitting we've had some fabulous sits and this was definitely one of them. Jane and Jerry are lovely hosts, communication was easy both before and during the sit. Their home is very comfortable and well equipped, easy to keep clean and in a very nice area. There are walks from the home or a short drive away. Bromley town centre is within walking distance, as are a few dog friendly pubs. (Luna is very well behaved so can be taken anywhere with you) I totally fell in love with Luna, she is very affectionate, loves a good walk, really enjoys fetch and is very well behaved with good recall. (Except if she's chasing crows) Yoda loves a tummy rub and enjoys a night time cuddle, he also enjoys playtime with feathers. All in all an exceptional sit, one that we highly recommend and one we would be delighted to return to.
It was my pleasure to care for Charlie, Bailey, and Luna in Naomi and Steve's home with amazing sunset views of beautiful Mt. Tamalpais (weather permitting). The doggies were always eager to walk, run, and eat. They loved being brushed, cuddled, and massaged during towel drying after a walk in the rain. Bailey doesn't mind the rain, while Charlie would rather avoid it. Charlie loves rolling around in leaves, grass, etc. Kitty Luna is a sweet snuggler with a cute "meow." The home has all the amenities including a fire place. Lovely home, great family.
It was a great pleasure to meet Kim, Rick, and their awesome pets! They welcomed us into their home with open arms and treated us like family throughout our sit. Hayden (dog) and Cooper (cat) were very sweet, affectionate, and easy to care for. Kim left us detailed instructions which made our stay even easier. Additionally, their home is situated in a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood with quick access to shopping and dining. We enjoyed ourselves so much that it was hard to leave!
