I contacted this company to board my dogs who agreed they had availability for the dates I needed. There were a couple of messages on pricing and meet and greet which I was happy to do and no response since? They are reading my messages and just not getting back to me? Very unprofessional and completely wasted my time!

I cannot praise Natasha Curtis enough! My collie Patch is not the easiest dog in the world and had never been groomed properly before. When I collected him he looked amazing! He had been bathed clipped and nails trimmed. Highly reccomend!

We had a terrible experience with this so called business. We were totally mis-sold a "luxury home boarding" service. We planned to go on holiday for 7 days, this was cut short to just over 3 days because Canine Retreats Clevedon were unable to carry out the service we paid for. We paid them for 8 days full board to look after our 1 year old rottweiler (yes we know they are a large breed, so we paid a more expensive rate). They met our dog on multiple occasions beforehand and agreed to take him for the period we specified. They claimed to be trained in dog behaviour and told us he would be treated as one of the family (as you would expect from such a service). As I have mentioned, my dog was 1 year old (so still very much puppy mentality) and although he was trained to a bronze good citizen level, he was still too much for them to handle and they called us (while we were abroad) to have him collected, for destructive behaviour when left alone. It turns out he was left alone for god knows how long in what turns out to be an unsuitable room for dogs! Basically he got tangled in some blinds and pulled them down and also (get this) knocked something off a sideboard. Luckily we have some very good friends and family who were able to collect him and look after him until we could get home. We had to cut our holiday abroad short to get home for him. By this point as you can imagine we were less than pleased with their shocking customer service, so we contacted Lisa and requested a refund for the remaining four days (as they had not provided us with any service for this period of time) . They immediately said no to any refunds and kept referring to their term and conditions (which, by the way, stated nothing about keeping your money if the dog is ejected from their facilities). 1. Our dog is in no way destructive, never had been before or has been since. 2. They left our dog in an unsuitable environment. 3. Our dog was visibly distressed when we returned home. 4. They posted photos of our dog on social media, portraying they could look after such animals as he, then later that day threw him out! 5. They were not in the slightest bit apologetic or interested in fixing their perception. 6. There was no warning that there was any problem, we were just told we needed to collect our dog before they put him into a kennel (at our cost would you believe!). You can imagine how much hassle this caused from abroad whilst we tried to arrange everything (oh and by the way my wife was 8 months pregnant - this stress was clearly not good her or the baby). This small business did nothing on this occasion to patch any kind of customer relationship after this highly stressful experience. I cannot and will not recommend this business to anybody. They portray one thing but deliver a totally un-businesslike working practice. Avoid at all costs. I am happy to speak with anyone who would like to discuss this further.

I have only recently started using The Good Dog’s Life for play days and home boarding and I genuinely cannot fault them. The reassurance they provide, the updates I get and the friendly welcome from them every single time makes me feel so comfortable leaving my baby with them. He has an absolute ball when he is there and he pulls himself to their front door which just speaks volumes! 😍😍 Thank you both so much, so so glad I found you!! xx

My 60th birthday celebrations were made possible by Zanetta looking after our much loved pug, Bertie. The daily updates, amount of attention to detail was amazing. I would recommend any small fur baby parents. Truly wonderful in every way. Our boy is everything to us and it was lush I knew he was receiving great care. .

I’m so glad that I found The Good Dogs Life! We have 2 chihuahuas ( one of whom is very anxious) and have really struggled to find suitable accommodation for them for when we go on holiday. Zanetta & Debbie have now provided a caring and safe home environment for them. They have provided a service whereby a relationship is established through play dates so that when it comes to an overnight stay the dogs were used to their surroundings. I get regular updates and videos which gives me peace of mind. I can’t recommend them enough and can now go on holiday knowing that my dogs are also having fun and being looked after. Thank you 🐶🐶

We were a bit sceptical about leaving our dog with someone and were super picky as to who we chose. We are SO glad we decided to go with Zanetta at The Good Dogs Life. She cares so much about each and every dog that she looks after. Whilst we were away our dog had a slight upset tummy, (this is normal as she has a very sensitive tummy) Zanetta looked after her really well and gave her medication and gave some advice to us that was really useful! I love that she updated me with pictures and videos of Pepper just having the best time ever, meant I could really relax on holiday knowing she was having such a good time! We have booked many more stays for Pepper for 2022 and will beyond. If you're looking for someone friendly, reliable and who will love your dog as much as you do, look no further! Would not use anyone else. It's a home from home for Hugo. He gets unlimited snuggles and belly rubs. Also its great getting videos/photos of Hugo when he's there for peace of mind xx

Our little rescue dog has been to Zanetta's regularly for day care over the past year and has an absolute blast. She plays all day and can't wait to get in the house when we arrive. I would highly recommend Zanetta - 5 stars!

I have been using the Good Dogs Life to board my dog for almost 2 years. My dog loves going to Zanettas and it's a home away from home for him. He only weighs 6 kilos so it's good to know he's with dogs of a similar size to him so I dont need to worry about him getting hurt. Zanetta is always really accommodating and I would recommend!

A fantastic dog boarder for small breeds which is exactly what we were looking for. We have a teacup Yorkshire Terrier who is getting old and can be quite nervous. However, he settled straight away. Zanetta is so friendly and loves the dogs so much she cares for.

We used The Good dogs Life for the first time in August 2021 and were very impressed with the level of care and the professional set up. I specifically wanted Lottie to be around dogs her own size and in a home atmosphere. Zanetta instantly put me at ease and it was evident from the first trial day that she loves dogs and her job. Our little dachshund had a wonderful time and we appreciated all the updates and photos she sent while we were on holiday.

We have used The Good Dogs Life for our little boy (miniature daschund) for a little while now. He is always happy to go for play days and holidays. We are so relieved to have found Zanetta, she sends us videos of the dogs playing in the garden, they always look like they are having a good time! We know we can go on our holidays without worrying about him.

Sam has been looking after our Dog for a couple of years now, her family is his second family, he's as happy there as he is at home. We love seeing videos of his daily walks online, and if we go abroad on holidays we know both he and his tortoise brother will be happy and safe with her. Our groomer is always amazed by the reaction our dog has when Sam collects him from there, he's as happy and excited as when I collect him myself. Highly recommended.

Our dog Róka has thoroughly enjoyed her group walks with Sam over the past 9 months, ending only because we are moving away. Róka was always excited to see Sam and came home from walks happy and tired. Sam herself has been very flexible and responsive to changes in our schedules, and the pictures and videos that she took showed that Róka was having a great time. We would highly recommend!

Sam has been walking our dog for several years now. Our dog LOVES Sam and her family, he's always excited to go out for his walks and is very happy and content when he returns. Sam has been invaluable in helping us be good dog owners. Highly recommend her services.

I have trusted Tina for many years for home visits to care for my rabbits and cat when we go away. Tina is knowledgeable about their care, and always gives regular updates to reassure me they are all ok. She is really reliable, friendly, often goes above and beyond to ensure my pets are happy and well and always leaves things in a clean, neat and tidy way. Home visits mean my animals don’t have to go to unfamiliar kennels where they would be stressed out by all the other animals. I would recommend Tina’s home visits to anyone with cats, rabbits or small animals. Knowing she is looking after them means I can relax and enjoy my holiday!

Tina and her family offer a fantastic home from home boarding experience. Our cockerpoo Winnie loves her stays there in a warm and welcoming home and with lovely long walks. I would highly recommend Happy Pawz to everyone.

Happy Pawz is a home from home experience for our cockapoo Monty - he’s been going to Tina for ad hoc daycare and home boarding since he was a puppy. Lovely long walks and he’s always happy to run inside. It’s a big relief to go away knowing Monty is having a great time and is cared for.

Tina and her family have quite literally opened their home to our little pup and we couldn’t be more thankful to the time and patience put in to building a solid relationship with her. I feel reassured knowing she is having a lovely day full of long walks (and a few treats thrown in for good measure). Highly recommend!

Stephen is absolutely amazing!!!! The person who was supposed to stay with my dog dropped out last minute, so I asked Stephen if he could help me out. Although he was very busy he went beyond and above to help. My dog absolutely loves it over Stephen's house. His two dogs are absolutely adorable and laid back, so they set a good example to other dogs. I would highly recommend Barley Cross as Stephen and his wife have got a beautiful place and they do care about every single furry resident who come to their place.

Barley Cross Dog Boarding was recommended to me in January 2024 after several very stressful months trying to find reliable day care for my (then) one year old Cocker Spaniel, Louis. Being a first time dog mum, I was very anxious about leaving Louis with anyone, so I am very grateful for the recommendation. Louis is now 18 months old and spends 2 days a week with Stephen and he absolutely loves it! He also boarded for a week earlier this month when I went abroad. He had the best time ever! and I was able to relax and enjoy my holiday knowing that Louis was in safe hands. Stephen is absolutely amazing with Louis. He really does care about every single one of the dogs in his care. Louis is always treated like a member of the family. He loves seeing his furry friends, the long walks and rather a lot of swimming in the rhine now he's figured out how to get in and out on his own without the need for assistance! Stephen knows his 'pack' very well and goes the extra mile to ensure that peace and harmony is maintained. All of the dogs in his care are so friendly. Stephen offers flexibility with drop offs and collections which has been incredibly helpful as my commute to work is over an hour. If I could give more than 5 stars I would - I can't recommend Barley Cross Boarding highly enough! Thank you Stephen, not only have you helped me raise a wonderful, kind, gentle dog, you have saved my sanity for which I will always be grateful.

Our pup loves going to Barley Cross. She's been going to their daycare service for a little while now and recently completed her trial night! Stephen makes sure the pups are introduced to eachother carefully and always makes sure they come home tired, so no need to worry about an after work walk

Absolutely spot on . You get what you pay for. It’s well worth the extra money compared to a kennel for the service, and knowing that your dog will get the best care. Storm came back more relaxed from his holiday than I did from mine.

Until she went to stay with Stephen at Barley Cross, our lagotto had only ever been left with family so we were understandably nervous. We didn’t need to be. Tali is delighted to see Stephen at drop off and trots off very happily with him - always a good sign! She’s been for day care and boarding and comes home happy and exhausted. We like the small setting and home from home set up which suits our somewhat sensitive pooch. Stephen is very professional, thorough in his vetting of dogs and careful with introductions to make sure everyone will get on. He has accepted our mud and water loving gremlin and her quirks and we would highly recommend! Tali is looking forward to her next visit 🐶

Absolutely Amazing service!!!! I called at very short notice and Stephen couldn’t be any more helpful, fitting us in last minute. Constant updates with pictures and messages. Eric my sprocker like all spaniels is very energetic, he’s had so many fun walks and runs this weekend which has been Perfect, as I’ve been able to come back home and unpack from the weekend, Eric is knackered 👍 I could not recommend Barley cross dog boarding any more, if I could give a 10 star I would! Our whippet stayed for 4 nights and had the best time, he didn’t want to come home! Really professional service, kept updated on our dog throughout the stay, Stephen really took the time to get to know him and made sure he was happy throughout his stay. Cannot recommend enough

Couldn’t be more pleased with the care shown to our energetic pup who stayed for five nights in total. Bluey was made so welcome and I was really impressed by the way his individual needs and routines were catered for without a second thought. Woodie (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) has just come home from a 6 night stay with Barley Cross. He has returned very happy and relaxed and he's even lost a bit of weight! Which I've been trying to get him to do for ages now. Stephen is a true professional and nothing is too much trouble. We'll definitely be using Barley Cross Dog Boarding again and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Highly recommend Caroline. Our cockapoo Milo goes once a week and is always really happy to go in. Caroline has also had him for a odd weekend, which has been fantastic.

Our toy poodle Arlo has stayed with Caroline several times now when we go on holiday. He is always very happy to see her and very settled when we return to pick him up. It is so reassuring to us to know that he is happy when we are away and is being so well looked after. Thank you Caroline!

would totally recommend Caroline to anyone looking for Home Boarding. Maisy my 18 month old Cavapoo is very nervous with people and doesn't go to anyone. I was worried she wouldn't be able to stay with anyone else. I needn't have worried Caroline was amazing and so patient and good with her and she was fine and really enjoyed her stay. She has now stayed twice and is now her best friend and follows her everywhere and sits on her lap. I can go away knowing that she is very happy there and well looked after.

We have been taking our 12month old dog to Happy Home Dog Boarding Bristol since the end of last year. She loves it and can’t wait to arrive dragging me to the front door in the mornings! Caroline had been brilliant, the dogs clearly love her and she has been so flexible helping us out at short notice on several occasions.

Have used Happy Home 3 times now, all at very short notice due to work commitments. Caroline made the process really easy and welcomed Wally wth open arms. Each time when I returned he has been calm and healthy, not the neurotic hyper Ive been left for months reaction you get when using a kennels. Definitely my go-to home for Wally when I need somewhere for him to stay. Excellent.

My lively springer spaniel has been going to Happy Home Dog Boarding for over three years now. Regularly twice a week and multiple stay overs whilst I go on holiday. My dog can't wait to get inside, tail wagging and absolutely loves it. Caroline is so accommodating to my ever changing schedule. Highly recommend.

My chocolate labrador Bruno has been very well looked after by Caroline for a few years now. He loves going to stay with her, and trots in happily, tail wagging excitedly! Caroline replies promptly to messages, and has always been really helpful.
