We had a thoroughly wonderful time taking care of Jennifer & Hal's two big dogs and very sweet cat. Jennifer & Hal were excellent hosts - we arrived the afternoon before they left to get acquainted with the animals and the property and it was instantly a natural fit. The property is nothing short of amazing - truly stunning home with ocean views, beautiful hiking and beaches within walking distance as well as short drives away. The home honestly feels like something out of a novel. Inish, Roni & Winston each have such loving and funny personalities - we were missing them pretty much immediately after we left. We would 100% love to return in the future to spend time with them again!
We greatly appreciated the 3 weeks we stayed in Patrick’s house taking care of Houston in the wonderful Leysin. Houston is a gentleman dog and super cute. He says what he needs by actions, being very easy to know when he wants to go out, have fun, etc. Also, Houston guided us to several lovely places up in the mountains. We strongly recommend this experience for your life.
Lovely house with wonderful views and comfortable accommodation with nice touches to make my stay even better. Dogs are delightful and so lovable. They were no trouble and we enjoyed our walks every day. There are walks through the hills so they can come off the lead. The cats were a little shy to begin with but they soon came to sit with me in the evening. There's a cat flap so they come and go as they please. Altogether a very successful, pleasant stay. I hope to return.
Pheobe and Chalky were great to walk. Although Chalky had a complicated formula for her meals it was pretty simple to do. Accommodation was a beautiful thatched cottage consisting of a cosy sitting room with exposed beams & a light and airy conservatory overlooking the garden, furnished with a large dining table. A large traditional farmhouse kitchen with gas type Aga and upstairs we had a very large comfortable bedroom and bathroom with bath and shower. Trevor & Jillian
Julia was fantastic all around! I honestly did not want to leave. The location was great and her animals are so so sweet and very easy going. Julia was also one of the most pleasant people I have ever met and I hope we get to cross paths again soon. We had some lovely chats during my time there before she left and when she came home. Her place was so beautiful and her sweet dog, Zoe, was constantly cuddled up to me. She was very clear with all of her communication which was super appreciated and helpful. I would absolutely love to stay again if the opportunity came up for both of us as it was a wonderful experience.
