About five years ago, I received a recommendation to use Shawe’s Paws. I had just rescued my dog Charlie and needed a dog walker during the days. Jenn at Shawe’s Paws was there from Charlie’s first walk and is still walking Charlie today! Not only is Jenn friendly, reliable and loves Charlie as if she was her own, but she knows how to handle Charlie’s quirks and personality. I feel 110% comfortable using Shawe’s Paws, they are trustworthy, dependable, flexible and I know my dog is always well-taken care of during her mid-day walks!! ❤️❤️❤️

Jen is truly one of the best dog walkers out there. Our dog Oscar is obsessed with her - to the point where she tries to walk quietly by our house if she's going to walk our neighbor's dog so he doesn't hear her! On Oscar's first birthday, I was traveling for work and Jen took Oscar to the store to get him a birthday cake toy. It's the smaller, thoughtful things like this that make her irreplaceable in our pup's life. She also takes super cute pictures (attached) and sends an email about how each walk went. She makes leaving Oscar for work trips less hard because I know that he'll be so excited to see her when she comes for his walk!

I have been using Shawe’s Paws for over a year now and have nothing but amazing things to say about the company!! After several bad experiences with other dog walking services, finding Jennifer was such a relief! My furbaby is in love with her and her assigned walker, Jake. I’ve used Jen and her walkers for over 5 years now and I honestly would never use any other dog walking service in Philly. She is trustworthy, reliable, AND LOVES all of her dogs. And my dog absolutely loves her dog walkers, as I’ve been able to see a couple times when my dog will go running toward them, tail wagging if we happen to bump into them on the street. Jen uses an easy-to-use app to schedule walks/pay invoices and to see the daily walk reports which is super convenient. Also Jen makes herself available for every client and will always try her best to accommodate any late requests - I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve had to put in a last minute request for a same-day dog walk or for an overnight stay the week-of and Jen will always make it work. Aside from that, it’s great to get pictures of my dog on her walk while I’m at work - I truly never have to worry Sophie when I’m not at home because I know she’s in such great hands. Jen has been in my dog's life for years (even though we've since moved to the suburbs.) She and her staff are flexible, reliable, and they LOVE their charges/pets. They truly understand my quirky, sweet dachshund and he loves them for it. He even got to sleep over Jen's house!! Jen is super responsive and capable and she chooses excellent staff members. I could go on and on, cannot recommend highly enough!

We have only been using Jen for about a month, but we can not recommend her more! She sends us thorough updates and many pictures on each visit. She even went out of her way to check in on our cat while at our house when he was sick (even though she is technically there for the dog and not paid extra to do this). She is also always on time and cleans up after the puppy if it is wet out or if there is an accident or anything like that. My boyfriends work schedule is also very unpredictable and they are super flexible with late cancellations or adding different times. Again, highly recommend this service!

Jen and the Shaw's Paws Team are the best. My dog, Abby, loves them and I know she is in good hands. I really appreciate that I can request a walk well in advance or same day, if necessary. I have never been disappointed.

We've been using Shawe'S Paws for the past 8 years for intermittent daily walks and boarding. Jen and her team have always been professional and timely and our pup absolutely adores her and her walkers. Coco will drag me across Rittenhouse square with her tail/butt wagging just to give Jen a million wet kisses.

We have been with Shawe's Paws since we moved to Grad Hospital 4 years ago! The walkers love Hank, our pup, just as much as we do and we love getting photos and updates after each walk! Thanks for being such great dog walkers and more importantly Hank's friend!

I didn't think I'd be able to find anybody that I trusted as much as much as my close friend who had been walking my dog while he was in between jobs. Not only is Jim very dependable, but he's also willing to deal with my sometimes fluxuating schedule. I highly recommend him.

Asked Jim pretty last minute to see my cat when we went away for for a week. He came over the next day, got oriented, and then checked on her every day for a week. Rates seem fair, he played with her, did litter and food and brushing. Seemed to look for things to do for my cat. Will use again and do recommend.

I have been using Jim for dog walking and boarding since my 10 year old dog was a puppy. He is reliable, flexible, and trustworthy. Most importantly my dog is crazy about him.

Bark Park is our pup's second home. I feel incredibly lucky to have them so close to us!! Our pup goes 3 days a week and stays when we are away. I have loved every single person we've met- they are all so caring, sweet and so professional. I cannot speak highly enough about Bark Park!!

There's just so much good about services provided here, I'm not sure where to start? My golden retriever, Odin, has been attending Bark Park West since before he turned one. He's not two years old and gets absolutely thrilled when he realizes that our walk is headed towards this direction. I was simply stunned with the amount of care that was put into his training. Recordings of his obedience training were uploaded and provided for me to review and continue developing upon the skills that he was being taught. Odin used to be an unhinged pro wrestling champion who loved to mount everything and anything when he got overwhelmed. He struggles with it only on rare occasion now, thanks to the training staff! The pictures and day recap summary reports are such a pleasure to read! I'm so grateful for the outstanding work provided by the loving staff!

Our pups (Hilda and Bean) LOVE BarkPark. Daycare is their favorite place. The handlers are incredible and focus on positive-reinforcement training throughout the day. We 100% trust BarkPark to provide them with the absolute best care and enrichment experiences. I cannot recommend them enough (and I do recommend them to everyone in my life with pups in the Philly area). Also, they take the BEST pictures throughout the day and send thoughtful and detailed summaries of the pups experiences during their time there (including which of their friends they played with).

I truly can't say enough good things about BarkPark West! We've been sending Bolin (pictured, with the tiny ears) to daycare for just about a year now, and his ecstatic reaction to pulling up at the front door in the mornings is better than any review I could ever write. The photos and notes the staff send throughout the day are wonderful (seriously, the professional looking photos are an awesome bonus!), and you really get the sense that everyone working there not only knows your dog, but truly cares about them. Bolin had to take a couple of months off from daycare this summer, and when he returned it was so lovely to see how excited the staff were to see him after his absence. Take it from someone who treats her dog like her kid: this is a great place to send your pup.

We have nothing but great things to say about BarkPark West! We started bringing our GSD when she was 6 months and she has been thriving. We started off with weekly half day (until 3PM) sessions and have increased to biweekly full day (from 4PM-7PM) based on our adjusting needs. Rebecca, Linus and Liz have been wonderful and patient teachers. We appreciate and look forward to the updates (usually mid morning and afternoon) on the parent portal and enjoy when we catch her on their Instagram stories. Our GSD is an anxious girl and took time to adjust to daycare. They were well versed in breed specific needs and worked on her issues gradually each week. We've been to the both the South Philly and West locations. For us, BarkPark West is the better of the two based on location and amenities. They have a huge outdoor space, newly remodeld with k9 grass and sprinklers during the summer months. Until recently, South Philly was the only option for Saturday daycare, but West Philly is trialing Saturdays at their location. Bookings are easily made online and options for extra enrichment (puzzles) and grooming can be purchased there too. Membership levels are available for packaged bookings (minimum 7/month up to unlimitied). Daycare isn't for every dog and we appreciate that there is a vetting process, meet and greet and constant supervision of the pack. Issues are addressed personally and recommendations for further training is given. Poppins has met some of her best friends in daycare, as she is really particular with whom she plays with. Most of the dogs are our neighbors in West Philly and one of the few opportunities she gets to play with them in a safe environment free from toys and any resource guarding that may accompany them. We've told friends, coworkers and random dog parents how much we've loved our experince at BarkPark West. It's a welcome respite for busy Pawrents and provides both engagement and play to dogs who need an outlet or companionship.

What a wonderful place! Our Gilly girl loves it here! Lauren is so knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly! Rebecca has been super accommodating and flexible! They took Gilly in as my wife was in labor. It was so reassuring to know that Gilly has a fun, safe place while we welcomed a new little one to the family.

My dog just started here a week ago and I have already been so impressed. I am pretty picky about what I look for in a daycare and this place has far exceeded any expectation I had! The meet and greet showed how seriously they take getting to know dogs before allowing them in. They were also super patient with my dog and allowed him to integrate with the pack at the rate he was comfortable with. It is clear that everyone who works there is knowledgeable and loves dogs. They are also super communicate and give a full report card and pictures each day. They also have a nice big outdoor space. Highly recommend!

Our little Pinto Bean loves Bark Park, I love the updates and the pictures they post. I wish we could take him in more, our schedule doesn’t always allow it but whenever we can we are there!

They have been so great and patient with our boy Arlo. He is a high energy and anxious dog, which could make him difficult to manage. They have done amazing job making sure he has a great time while also ensuring he isn't getting overstimulated. They also take the best photos and leave cute updates. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking into doggie day care.

As a first time pet parent, I was a bundle of nerves leaving my puppy at day care for the first time. I actually cried in the car. But my fears were unfounded. Bark Park is the absolute best. All the staff are extremely kind and friendly. They do a thorough check of all the dogs before they accept any, so I know my dog will only be around other well socialized dogs. They also send the cutest updates with pictures and write ups. I love knowing my puppy’s best friends. Ollie never wants to leave when I go to pick I’m up. He literally tries to crawl back inside. I cannot say enough good things about them. What a gem!

We love Pamper and play! We have used their service for walking our dog and for housesitting. In both cases we found Liz and her team to be reliable, responsible and loving toward our dog. I also love how we can book a dog walk once in a while when we realize we're going to be gone for a long day. Liz is as happy and responsive to do a oner-off walk as to be coming regularly. The folks that housesit for P&P are wonderful. (TJ is great!_ I can tell they really bond with our dog. I highly recommend Pamper & Play. You won't regret it!

Liz is an incredible pet sitter! She loves others pets and cares for them like they're a part of her family! Wouldn't want anyone else to take care of our two big dogs and many cats! Not to mention our bunny and reptiles! She's amazing!

Very professional. We had Liz take care of our 2 dogs and 4 cats, in our own home, while away for our summer vacation in Myrtle Beach. They and we loved her!!! She stopped by 3x a day to make sure our furry family members were happy and healthy. Liz even went the extra mile of vacuuming to make sure we didn't come home to extra fluffy carpet due to summer shedding. She loved the animals as if they were her own, and spoiled them as if so. I think they were more upset to see Liz go then us when we left for vacation lol. She also kept us updated daily with how everybody was doing. They didn't seem to miss us one bit 😍

I have two German Shepherds and was dog sitting for a friend when I had a family emergency. I was needed at the hospital ASAP. I was nervous about these dogs being together and I needed someone fast that could handle the job. I had heard about Liz from a friend. I can't express my gratitude enough. She showed up as quickly as she could. She walked them, fed them, managed to have them all tuckered out by the time I got home (not an easy task) AND all three of them were snuggling on the same bed. As far as my experience goes, Liz is a miracle worker! I will definitely be relying on her services from now on.

Great place to drop your pet off and not worry about them like I did when we went on vacation, My dog likes Liz and is happy when I drop him off. We are finally free to go where we want for as long as we want without worring about are dog,what a relief. I highly recommend Pamper & Play Pet Sitter!

Tails and Ales is great! We had to take our 5 month old goldendoodle to Tails and Ales for daycare and overnight boarding for the first time. Paige provided updates and pictures throughout the day, and our pup loved being in their house and playing with the other dogs. Since it was his first night away from our house, he was barking at night and couldn't go to sleep, so Paige comforted him at 4:30 AM and let us know how he was doing. I wouldn't hesitate to take our pup there again for day care, and I highly recommend them!

Tales & Ales is the BEST. I have used them for daycare as well as boarding. I am so grateful for Paige & Ryan who provide the best care for my Lily who is a sensitive pup who requires love and affection. As a rescue pup, Lily can have separation anxiety and can sometimes have anxiety in new situations. Paige & Ryan made sure she had a great first day and ever since Lily runs towards them when she gets picked up ...the tail wags a hundred miles a minute and she doesn't even say "bye Mom". I feel like I'm giving Lily a vacation when I send her to Tales & Ales :-) They are also very reliable and always accommodating.

My fur babies, Arlo and Coco, are regulars at Tails & Ales. We have used them for daycare and also boarding. Paige and Ryan are not only accommodating and reliable, they are practically second parents to my babies. They will truly care for your dog as if your pup is their own. We are always kept in the loop with cute pictures, bowel habits (every dog owner knows how important this is, and everything in between. I could go on and on about how wonderful they are, but I’ll leave it at this — we are forever grateful to T&A for loving our dogs as much as we do.

Doggie daycare with Paige and Ryan has been the best thing ever for our pup Cody! He is super energetic and it has helped him blow of some steam and learn to settle with other dogs. Paige and Ryan are extremely thoughtful, accommodating and knowledgeable about dog training/behavior. They are great at checking in with us throughout the day and we never have to worry about Cody when he is there. Thank you thank you tails and ales! We would be much more stressed without you in our lives!

Amazing!!! I could not praise Ryan and Paige more. Not only was my pup Bentley completely comfortable but I felt comfortable the whole time and was able to fully enjoy my time away. From their quick responses to my inquiries, to sharing his day to day activity, having all the supplies he needed (only having to bring food) and even dropping my dog off at the end of his stay, I could not ask for more. I will continue to use them for my boarding needs and would recommend them to anyone.

Paige&Ryan were fantastic. Our almost 2 year old rambunctious goldendoodle stayed with them for a long weekend. They sent perfectly detailed updates right when you needed them the most. And he definitely got the exercise, stimulation and cuddles he is used to if not more! (Been sleeping since we got home). Will use Tails and Ales again.

We did not intend (or believe we implied) that any customer could not afford such care, just that the schedule of visits would be an expensive option. Our team wants to provide reasonable priced pet care, with reliable, trustworthy pet sitters that love animals.

I called Little Characters today and the owner or whoever takes care of the phone calls was very offensive! I called looking to start dog walking services. I told him my needs and he said that what I needed could get to be pretty expensive and he was not sure if I could afford it. I told him he was very offensive and that I wouldn't be calling if I could not afford it! Afterwards, he says well if you can afford it I can do it. That's not how you conduct business! It was very rude and offensive. You cannot tell someone you don't think they can afford something.

Good, responsible service. the staff really cares about your pets and treats them like they are their own.

I am so impressed by the level of caring the sitters had for my cat. They contacted me daily while I was away to give updates. They took excellent care of my cat. They made it possible for me to relax and enjoy my vacation because I knew that my cat was well cared for. I highly recommend these sitters! I'll never use anyone else!!

Terry Lynn is the most incredible and conscientious person who lovingly takes care of our cat. She takes the worry and anxiety away when we would travel. Terry Lynn’s critters is our dog Harper’s favorite place to be! Harper has been going to Terry’s since she was a puppy and we have had nothing but a wonderful experience. Terry is incredibly accommodating to our work schedules as my fiancé and I both work in healthcare. She loves all the dogs at daycare as her own and we are so thankful to have Terry love our Harper.

Terry took care of my 3 cats while I was out of the country for 10 days. She sent me photos, in and of itself a feat because I never expected them to come out, and communicated with me frequently. She had to have a medical procedure during this time and still made sure my cats were taken care of. I highly recommend.

Terry is a fabulous, caring pet-sitter. Our dogs, Ollie and Ellie, and kitty, Tommy, love her and she treats them like family! She did at-home visits while we were away sending texts and pictures frequently. Our kitty needs medication administered twice a day and she had no problem doing that for us. She brought in the mail and even refilled my bird feeders when they were empty. She goes above and beyond. It is such a great feeling to be able to get away on vacation knowing your pets and home are well cared for. I highly recommend Terry.

We have used Terry for in home cat care several times over the past 2 years since moving to the area. I cannot recommend her highly enough! Terry is very attentive and responsive and went over and above to make sure our babies and house were comfortable and well cared for. She came twice a day to feed our cats and while she was there she always cleaned up any little messes, pulled in mail and also cared for our plants. She frequently sent update texts and always quickly answered questions, for example when i was worried a storm may have done some damage to our house. I came home to everything in perfect order. The peace of mind you will have leaving your home and fur babies with such a wonderful and caring person are everything!!!

Terry Lynn took Toby (4 month old Lab puppy) for an overnight stay last minute. Considering we are a new client, the fact that we called her Saturday morning and we were dropping Toby off Saturday afternoon was exceptional service. Toby had an absolute blast with the other dogs in her pen-less facility. She treated Toby as her own and we can’t thank her enough! Will definitely use Terry Lynn again if she’ll take him.

I have been taking my dog to daycare/ boarding with Terry for nearly a year now. I can't say enough about how much he likes going there and how tired he is when I pick him up. Terry is reliable and quick to answer my questions and excellent at caring for my pup. I highly recommend using her services. I also love that it is cage/ pen free.

Cutie Paws has been watching our cat almost once a month for about two years now. They are incredible and our cat loves them too. Incredibly responsive and trustworthy, and so easy to schedule with. Sasha goes above and beyond, no matter what. Twice when she was caring for my cats while I was in California, there was an emergency which she handled quickly & graciously. She’s amazing, caring, patient and kind.

Sasha and her crew walked my dog for the first 9 months that I lived in Philly, and they were wonderful. Sasha went above and beyond while looking after my cat over the holidays! I received comprehensive updates, plus lots of photos and videos. Sasha is an absolute gem. We are so lucky to have found. Her history intake is very detailed, very willing to work with our schedules for the initial meet and greet. She's very thorough with each visit, will readily send us text, video, and photo updates when she's with our cats. Rosie is absolutely wonderful! She is not only reliable but also incredibly loving towards our dog. Every time we leave our pet with her, we have complete peace of mind knowing that she is in great hands. Rosie goes above and beyond to ensure our dog is happy, well-cared for, and safe. Rosie kept our dog overnight. Our dog can be nervous, especially around new people, but she warmed immediately to Rosie during our meet and greet time. In less than ten minutes my dog was sitting next to her getting her ears rubbed! Rosie was also careful to introduce our dog to her other boarders one at a time so that she could be sure that animals had good interaction and our dog was not overwhelmed. We will definitely place our pup in Rosie’s care again when needed!

Rosie has been caring for my 3 fur babies for a couple years now and always pampers my pooches to the point they don’t want to leave! I feel so very comfortable leaving my dogs with her and she always accommodates me the best she can (especially last minute). When I pick up the dogs, they honestly act as though they don’t want to leave. That is a true sign that they are loved and cared for by Rosie. I highly recommend her!

Rosie has been a phenomenal find! Our dog (3 year old goldendoodle) loves to stay with her in her home when we are busy or on vacation. She keeps in touch by sending pictures while we're away and our dog always looks so happy to be with Rosie and the other dogs. We will definitely be using her again - 5 stars!

Rosie is the best! My dog loves her daycare days to the point where it's almost impossible to get her in the car when I come to pick her up, even after a full day of playing. She always comes home happy and tired, and Rosie is so sweet with her. I can't recommend her and Main Line Dog Care enough!

We've boarded our 10 year old Havepoo Daisy with Rosie several times in the last year. Each time has been a very good experience for both Daisy and us. Rosie's love and commitment to the dogs in her care is always evident. She is reliable and very easy to work with. We highly endorse her for anyone looking for to board their dog in the Mainline PA area.

Rosie is incredible with our pup, Hobie. She is super flexible & she always sends photo updates so we can see how happy he is with his other fur friends. We are so lucky to have her! Highly recommend.

I wish I could give her more stars if I could! I was so lucky to have found Rosie back in 2020. I rescued my dog Winston in 2020 and was a little nervous finding care for him because he was quite reactive. Big dog boarding facilities were just too overwhelming for him. The one facility we tried, he would book it out the door as soon as you picked him up, just trying to get out asap! Now at Rosies, he runs right up to the door so excited to go in! She welcomes these dogs into her home like they are her own. She's so great with sending photos and the photos I receive always put a smile on my face knowing he has dog friends to hang out with, couches and beds to snuggle up on, and a big backyard to play in. It's so much more personal and home-like than a big boarding facility. As for the negative review, I would fully expect to pay for anything Winston might have destroyed of hers. This is her home and you're taking your dog there knowing that. At the end of the day, dogs are dogs. Your dog could have never chewed anything up in it's life and then just decides one day to chew something! As a millennial woman with no children, my dog is my child. He is my life. And I trust Rosie with him 100%! <3

We are so lucky we found Rosie! She cares for our 6 year old labradoodle Quincy like we do in our own home. She spoils him with daily walks and visits to the dog park. She makes our time away care free knowing he is with her. She sends pictures and updates and puts us at ease. She's a real dog lover! Quincy is the lucky one!!! Thanks Rosie!

Hi - I recently traveled to Europe for a week and Rosie watched my 2 Chesapeakes and did an amazing job. One of my dogs is epileptic and Rosie was great about giving him all his medications. I will definitely be using Main Line Dog Care again.

I've been using Love Em & Leave Em Home for a few year. They are the best pet sitters I've ever used. They keep a journal of every visit to my 2 dogs which I read when I return. They take in my mail and ensure a light is on at night. Best of all, my dogs love them. When I get home the dogs don't need any adjustment time like when I used to take them to a boarding facility. We are happy with Tina, Trish and the crew and highly recommend them.

I have used them many times and would highly recommend them. The people who own and work there really care about your pets. I know my pets are being well taken care of.
