We have two dogs who both have their quirks and from what I could tell Bethany and Ollie did a fantastic job looking after them and keeping them company! I'd absolutely recommend them as pet sitters, they looked after the house just as well as the dogs. They seem a very friendly couple who will do their best to give pets the best level of care. Communication from Bethany was great prior and throughout our booking.
We were understandably apprehensive about leaving our home and dog in someone else's care but Claire and Joe were absolutely the BEST experience we could've asked for. Our Boxer dog Tulla, loved them to bits and was sad to see them leave! It was helpful that Claire and Joe once had their own Boxer so already had a fondness for the breed and knew what to expect in terms of temperament and behaviours . It's always a little nerve-racking to leave your dog behind but Claire and Joe were amazing at alleviating those fears. We had confirmed their stay several months in advance and their communication leading up to the visit was phenomenal; we really got to get a great feel of each other during that time. We had invited them to come get settled in the night before, have them over for dinner, and get to know one another and it turned out to be a great dinner party with lovely guests. Even when they pulled up in our driveway we felt that we could already trust them as we had such good communication prior to their arrival. So when we left the following day, it was a relief to know our dog and house were in good hands. While we were on holiday, they sent photos of Tulla daily (and sometimes more than once!), with regular updates on her adventures. They took her on two walks a day and had no issues feeding her her special food diet as well as some treats for good behaviour. When we got back from the trip the house was in great shape and we could tell Tulla was not only relaxed but had enjoyed her time with her temporary guardians! As a very gracious and generous plus, Claire and Joe cooked us a meal on our return and left us some lovely flowers and a beautiful cake as well as leaving the house spotlessly clean. If we ever have a chance to use them again in the future we won't hesitate! We could not have wished for better or more trustworthy people.
