Sally and Robert made the time the night before we began our sit to introduce themselves to us, and of course Lola, Paloma, and the fish over a delicious Buffalo themed dinner. Though Lola and Paloma are small their personalities are big and full of love. Lola the alpha will tell you what is what so she can earn her treat and the incredible jumps she does while waiting are amazing. Paloma, is more about the hunt, either of her toys to fetch or the bunnies in hopes one day she will catch one in their beautiful backyard. The fish will stare you down first thing in the morning to be fed and then continue their day looking at the beautiful art work that hangs in their home. There are so many things we enjoyed about the sit from the well written instruction of care to the quick communication during our stay. Their house is located in a very walkable cozy neighborhood! It's only a short drive to Niagara Falls as well!. We cooked many delicious meals in their amazing kitchen and enjoyed both the front and backyard patio areas to relax both day and night. This house sit was an amazing opportunity and would any day hang out with Sally, Robert, Paloma, Lola and the fish if they lived closer.
I sat for Lady for ~2 weeks and had a great time with her. I arrived a few hours before Adam and Luis were set to leave, and my husband actually joined me for the first two days. We found Adam and Luis to be very warm, friendly and easy-going, and Lady is just the same! She's a total sweetheart. Adam and Luis were very communicative and available throughout my entire stay, which I really appreciated. Their home is comfortable, has all the modern amenities and is in a very safe and pleasant neighborhood, which makes walking Lady very enjoyable. Their flat is also in a great location, as it's only two stops (or even walking distance) to the main train station, and the tram is right across the street. In addition to exploring Basel, I was also able to take day trips to Zurich, Augusta Raurica, Strasbourg and Lörrach. Lady is a really sweet girl - she is very quiet and rarely barks, and is also very energetic and playful. It was very easy to take care of her as she is really well behaved, affectionate and a sweet snuggler. If you can't tell, I really fell in love with her during the course of my sit. I whole-heartedly recommend this sit for anyone looking to check out Basel or any of its neighboring towns. Thanks Adam and Luis for having me!
Ofer was great in showing me around and explain about the area and what is fun to do in his neighborhood and San Diego. Shisho and Tikka are the easiest sit ever. Fun, friendly, playfull, and always on their best behavior.. Offer house is so cool with an amazing balcony and views to the sunsets. It was so much fun and already missing the dogs and the little turtle. I am sure we will reconnect in the future. P.S. thanks for the chocolates!!
Tom is a sweet cat to sit for! He’s getting on in his years and would require a bit more attention for his medications, but it’s nothing complicated and Charlotte will walk you through it. Charlotte’s home is clean and spacious, located in a safe neighbourhood near a subway station. Highly recommend!
