We had the great pleasure of having Mindy and Jinx sit for us for a few weeks this month. We had a good feeling from their first letter of introduction and that was amplified by the zoom call that followed. Those positive first impressions created high expectations, but Mindy and Jinx managed to exceed them. First and foremost, of course, are the pets. There are five young dogs and cats living at our house, ranging in age from 1 year to 3 years. Our Dachshund has endless energy and he gets very focused on playing ball. In fact, to the point of obsession. We also have two rescue dogs. As street dogs, these one-year old dogs have a natural distrust of humans. We’re working on overcoming that but, it’s slow progress. Caring for them takes a lot of patience. They are constantly wanting to be physically near to us inside the house but then they get anxious and go running back outside. Our cats are a little easier. The younger one is very adventuresome and has found herself stuck on the roof on multiple occasions. The first evidence that Mindy and Jinx had done a superlative job with caring for our pets was how very relaxed both the dogs and the cats were when we returned from our trip. They were happy to see us but it was clear that all was well in their world. A second point of evidence is that our male rescue dog has made a significant improvement in his ability to handle his anxiety around people. This was unexpected and demonstrated that Mindy and Jinx either spent time working with him on the trust issue intentionally or just influenced the change by being consistent and calm around him. Either way, we’re really happy with the progress. In addition to the pets, Mindy and Jinx took great care of our personal belongings including a motorcycle that we invited them to use. Normally, when we have sitters, we find a few things that got put away in a different place than we had been using. That’s normal and not a problem but, it creates a period after the return where we are acutely aware that someone has been living in the house. That didn’t happen with these two veteran sitters. Part of the comfort for us on the trip was knowing the wealth of experience that Mindy and Jinx have. They’re extremely well-traveled, including here in Thailand where we are located. We never had to worry that they would have issues with understanding how daily life is conducted here or have difficulty getting the things they needed from the market. They were heavily involved with rescue organizations in their past life. I’m sure that experience translated to the progress of our rescue dog. Even if their experience was with feline rescue, they understand well the issues that both dogs and cats go through in these situations. Finally, they are great communicators so we never had to worry about what might be going on at home. We give Mindy and Jinx our highest possible recommendation. You would be very lucky to get them to sit for you. We hope that schedules work out so that they can come back and sit for us again in the not too distant future. We were looking for a pet sitter for a couple of weeks but we got much more than that. We have some great new friends that we expect will be part our life for a long, long time.

We have never left our dog with anyone before but we couldn’t take her to Seattle for our Christmas trip. We choose Emerald Street Kennels to board her. We were hesitate of course but they have webcams and I admit I watched them more than I should have. But even our little scared Bella was nervous the entire time, they made her feel safe! They even called her “Scared Bella” when we picked her up but it’s legit. She is very timid. The owner was there when I picked her up and they couldn’t find her collar and leash at first and I promise he felt so bad. But they did find it and I would take our dog there again and again! Amazing kennel! Sorry it took such a long post to say5 stars!
Staff is great! The owner is always open to suggestions. The girl who works the front desk that owns the husky really goes out of her way to make our Puppy Ava feel comfortable and at home. They really are a staple in the animal care industry. Thank you all so much!
My sisters dogs where brought in for boarding, when I got them back from boarding one of the employees was yelling at the dogs as she was bringing them to the lobby, not to mention how eager she was to get away from me, would not recommend at all, staff also doesn’t understand basic respect to dogs as well as customers, not to mention multiple dogs are being yelled at and out with aggressive dogs. I also noticed most the employees are really young, and the back doesn’t seem healthy and safe for the dogs and employees. DONT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE.
Very very very disappointed! We have been taking our dog, Bear, to Emerald Street Kennels. Twice he has come home with injury & nothing was said regarding them. The last time this happened was on November 10, 2020. There isn’t a number of dogs assigned per person who is watching & I think part of the issue is that there are too many dogs per sitter. Bear is a playful boy but never aggressive, we are worried that they let dogs play to the point of injury. This is not okay! When we called to inform Emerald Street Kennels of Bears injuries it didn’t seem to matter to the person I was speaking with!!! Will NOT be bringing our dog back. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE!! Pictures of hair ripped out & gash in nose!!! Do better Emerald Street Kennels!!!!!
Only place we take our dog when we need to board. They help resues when they are out of space. Only place i know of that will board dogs that need to be isolated from other dogs. Have succeeded expectations
My dogs get so excited when they arrive to the doggie daycare and are happy when I pick them up. ESK is a great place to take your dogs for socializing. It's also convenient to drop them off whenever you want.
My experience is a little different than most. I needed a place for my friend's cat, Fatboy, to stay for about 2 weeks. I had called a few other places but they seemed so unprofessional and cold. I finally called Emerald Street Kennels. Kristen answered the phone and was very upbeat, friendly and the rates were very affordable. I prepaid for 2 weeks and my friend brought her cat there. She also was very pleased and had no issues leaving her beloved cat there. Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control Fatboy only stayed for 3 days. I was refunded the unused amount with no issues. The day after the owner called to make sure I was satisfied. Now, how often does THAT happen now a days? In all respects, I have no issues recommending Emerald Street Kennels! Thank you for being there when we needed someone!
New to the area, we searched for a place to board our 7yo Great Dane and saw that Emerald Street Kennels had great reviews so we inquired and our pup did a few days at doggie daycare to see that it was a good fit before our trip. We boarded him at Emerald from December 4th through December 26th while we were overseas. While we were away, I had asked that my sister, located on the east coast, call to check on him because I would be unreachable by phone. I'm not sure where to begin with the experience because it's just a pile of not so great issues and even worse communication. The very first day he was there, an Aussie bit his ear, piercing it. We only found this out after we had picked him up and I noticed the scars on his ear flap. But that's not the worst of it. A few days into his stay, his front right paw began to swell, though they insisted that he was fine when my sister called. They ended up calling her back to ask if they could take him to the vet to which she agreed. The vet, who I contacted, told me that he was not putting pressure on his paw though the kennel says he was. He was given superficial antibiotics and that was that. This was December 10th. I was emailed by one of the employees that our pup had lost two pounds about a week or so into his stay. He had asked if he could give him more food to which I replied, two pounds is not that much, it's fine as it is. When I picked him up, he had clearly lost more than two pounds from his already lean frame. His spine, ribs, and sacrum bones were very pronounced. And his paw was still so swollen and hot that he wouldn't walk on it. Because I had picked him up so late, I couldn't get a vet appointment until the next day. When I took him in, he was weighed and had lost 12 pounds. Down to 124 from 136. Clearly much more than two pounds and definitely cause for concern. His paw was still so swollen and red and hot to touch so he was given proper medication, something to manage the pain, and we have to go back for follow-ups. We paid a lot of money for our pup to be cared for and ended up paying almost $800 for him to be boarded as well as the vet fee during his visit ($326) and the vet fee for his visit today ($500.) Our bill more than doubled (and he has more care ahead to manage this infection and the pain) because they provided subpar care. And no one at the kennel offered to compensate us for the added fees directly related to the infection he contracted while in their care. We went here because the reviews were glowing but, the more I share our experience, the more I hear the not so great experiences of this kennel. When I requested summaries of the incident reports, conveniently anything regarding the bite by the other dog (my pup is far from aggressive and has no history of anything remotely aggressive) was left out until I specifically asked for that. Which makes me wonder what else they are hiding.
Great place for socializing our pups. Owner Vince is a very nice man. Try them out. They have a free initial temperament session. Also their live cameras are great to check in on the dogs.
We’ve taken our dogs here for years. When I picked Woody up last Sunday, he looked better than I’ve seen him in 13 years! He was clean, the place was clean, and the service is excellent. Woody is always having fun when we check in on him on the camera. Thank you guys!
If I could give this place zero stars I would. My parents left their 10 year old terrier here to be boarded and while he was in his crate, another dog who was on leash with a staff member walking by attacked his nose through the kennel. Yes, my parents' dog was IN his crate and got attacked! Clearly the bars are much too far apart in their kennels. This was complete employee negligence and could have been avoided but these employees are not trained whatsoever. "The manager" Spencer met me and the dog at our local vet where he had to go under light anesthesia and get the lacerations on his nose cleaned out as one was very deep. $800 later...Gem Crest took zero responsibility for this happening despite this being their fault. They don't set up their dogs for proper living conditions while being boarded. Horrible business practices. Stay away if you care about your pets. We will never be back.
I own a rescue that has a history of abuse and not doing well with new people, but he has always been incredibly well taken care of every time I bring him here! Whether it is a couple of hours or a week long vacation it makes leaving him less stressful knowing that everyone here truly cares about the animals being safe and happy! Will never board my dog anywhere else and even got my mom to switch over to Gem Crest!
My husband and I have boarded our cute husky Willow here a couple times now and we are so pleased. Willow always comes home happy and healthy, she is an anxious pup but is not nervous when we walk in. Plus they don’t mind when we drop her off with some of her toys and bone (they’ve always been returned to us!) They are more than happy to accommodate extra play time at such friendly costs. As a young married couple the reasonable price is such a game changer. So happy my friend told us about Gem Crest. I am picky with who takes care of our animals but I know Willow will be safe and well taken care of while we are away!
Boarded our Australian Kelpie mix for two nights. Better experience (and smell) than prior kennels we have tried. I like the fact she gets to stay in her own indoor/outdoor run, and can enjoy one-on-one playtime with a staff member each day for a reasonable fee. Front desk staff is very professional and appear to keep very careful record and track of pets and their info. We just booked our dog for a 10 day stay in the future.
The staff at Gem Crest kennels are fantastic! We just picked up our dog, Clark after a 16 day stay. Clark is a rescue dog with high anxiety and reactive issues. They took such good care of him and loved on him. We are so happy to have found this wonderful kennel and staff. We feel Clark is in good hands at Gem Crest. Thank you!
Brought our dog home after boarding her for a week and she wouldn't eat anything for a few days. Brought her in and found out she had a twisted stomach and had to take her to the vet to help her afterwards.
Our dogs love their stay. We decided at the last minute to get the dogs groomed at the end of their stay. Got a discount on the last day of boarding and their groomer was meticulous at brushing out our very heavy coated Labrador. Thanks to all the staff!
We picked up our dogs who were happy to see us. Everyone there was very nice. As we were loading up we realized the food we brought for our lab wasn't even opened up. I went back in to ask why and they fed our adult lab the puppy food that was for the puppy. My husband gave detailed instructions of what food for what dog and how many scoops to the person who checked us in. Apparently she told no one because they said no such instructions were in their file. Our lab has severe food allergies and can only eat a very specific food. I think he didn't get horribly sick there because he just had his allergy shot booster.... but now we are home and he has the worst gas he's clearing the room. His stomach is bloated and he's uncomfortable. I'm sorry to say we won't be back as they basically poisoned my dog for 4 days. Very disappointing. Update> my lab wouldn't even eat food last night because he was so sick... he's never missed a meal and loves to eat. Hope we don't need to take him to the vet. Edited my review to 1 star after my puppy had the worst night of his life. Runny poop all over my floor last night and he threw up... don't know what they did there but he's never even had 1 of those since we've owned him. He's always slept through the night with no accidents. I'm never taking my dogs back there.
Gem Crest Kennels has some amazing groomers. Both Deana and David are very patient, professional, and talented in what they do. I brought my very nervous and timid Wolfdog in to be groomed for the very first time. David did an amazing job with her. He was extremely patient, and understanding of her breed and nervousness. He even sang to her to make her feel more calm! She came out looking and smelling wonderful! I was so nervous about taking her, but in the end I am glad that I did. I highly recommend!!
I use their grooming and boarding services. I have been very happy with both. They have found space for my dog everytime we needed to leave him to go out of town. Grooming service does a really good job at making Chewy look his best. Their prices are below others but they don't treat my dog any different than the others would.
All valley resort is a great place for our dogs. They take great care of them, are honest with us and my wife loves the live video and daily pictures they provide. Happy to have found somewhere my dogs are relaxed at.
They are amazing! I was so nervous about boarding my girl. She is 9 and had never been boarded before. I want to say thank you to staff especially Rachel and Melanie who were there when we picked her up. They were sad to see her go because she was so sweet and lovable. I appreciate the love and care the staff showed my girl during her time there.
This was our dog’s first stay and it was terrific! Everyone was so kind, helpful and reassuring that our boys would be well cared for and they most definitely were. Melanie and Terry are the best!
I left my German Shorthair Pointer for 1 week at All Valley Animal Resort. She was well taken care of and the staff was so great to her. I appreciate being able to leave my "baby" in capable hands and knowing she is loved when I couldn't be with her. Thank you again to all that made her stay comfortable!

We love All Valley Animal Resort, and wouldn't take our pet anywhere else. Recently we took our dog in for boarding. He was so excited to be there and had the same level of energy when we picked him up.
My dog has been going to companions for 4 years. She absolutely loves going there! The staff is amazing and she can hardly wait to get out of the car when we arrive. Today, she was awarded a leadership award! Could this be any sweeter???? Thank you companions for loving Fiona as much as we do ❤️
I cannot say enough AMAZING things about companions dog resort, Connie and the entire staff!! We have been boarding our dog here while traveling for the past year and there is nothing like knowing your furry family member is in the best care and HAPPY! Our dog leaps out of the car when we pull in and loves every staff member. We have had a busy couple months with some home damage, pregnancy, and being in a different state and Connie has been extraordinary in making us boarding our puppy feel easy and safe. We know he is in the best care and I just don’t think there is anything more you can ask for when boarding your dog. I highly recommend companions!! We love them!!
Companions has been a safe and happy place for our dogs for the past 15 years. During this time, Connie and her staff have exceeded our expectations caring for our young and senior dogs. Two things stay consistent: the dogs are excited when we turn into the Companions driveway and happy and tired when they’re picked up.
We have boarded both our senior dogs here for over 3 years. I am so impressed with the cleanliness, the outdoor play areas never have any dirty ‘potty’ areas. The reception area is spotless and smells good. Not like a disinfectant odor, just good and clean. Our dogs are happy to go off to their kennels. And the staff!! Every staff member I’ve met seems genuinely happy to be there. They help you get your dogs to the car if needed. Without being asked! This kennel is run to the highest standards. The owner is a blessing. I was a vet tech for over 18 years, and I’ve seen places I’d never leave any creature at. I have complete confidence in Companions Pet Resort.
October absolutely loves Companions! Not only has the amazing staff have helped him open up and become more comfortable in social environments, but they also have been so communicative to me and how October has been doing! I can tell just from the dropping off and picking up interactions that they genuinely care about my dog, along with every other dog! Connie and her staff are amazing! I promise you will not find a more friendly or attentive staff to watch over your beloved furry family member than the employees at Companions Dog Resort. When I drop off our pup, she runs to the staff as if they are her best friend. Peace of mind is all we have when we drop off our girl. Our dog Rocky has visited Companions for 12 years. He is 13,5 now. This is fabulous place to drop off your pet. Connie and the team (the staff are awesome!!!) do an amazing job at care and shelter. Frankly, we have had trepidation as he aged and remain confident when we drop him off that the team gives him the love we would share ourselves, and the care he deserves. We love taking our dog Sadie to Companions! She is a high energy Brittany pup and she always comes home happy and tired! The only thing I wish they offered was some sort of photo or video updates for while your dog is in their care. We would 100% recommend companions to anyone looking for daycare or boarding.
My cocker spaniels have been going to Companions Dog Resort since last November. They are excited to go & so calm when I pick them up. They have stayed mostly as boarders but we have done some drop-in daycare. Connie & her staff are so helpful & are just amazingly interactive with the dogs in their charge. I know my pups are in great hands!
The staff at Companions are always friendly and kind. We have gone to Companions for boarding and day care and our aussiedoodle is always happy to go and play. The facilities are clean and well kept. Special shout out to Devry who provides grooming through Companions. She is very talented and our doggie always get the best haircuts. I highly recommend this place for your pup!
While visiting Boise, we were able to get our 8 month old puppy in for daycare at the last minute. All Paws was very accommodating and our pup seemed to have had a great time and was pooped when we picked her up. We had a great day exploring the city and rest assured she was in good hands. I have been taking my dog to All Paws since 2022 I believe and he loves it. Your dog must be spayed/neutered and up to records on all needed Vaccines. The meet/great process can take a week or two to get schedule but outside of that this place is PURFECT! My dog Jett loves this place and it is great for him to socialize since he is an only dog. The staff and the owners really make this place feel family owned and I love it. We live near the location so it makes it very convenient for us. Drop off and pick up is seamless and I always have a tired pup when he comes home. Prices can vary depending on size of dog but it is very affordable and the staff is very understanding as well to when you need to make payments. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Life long customers here for sure!
Love taking Ella to All Paws! She’s getting better and better at socializing when we take we out, better at kennel training, and better at sleeping through the night because All Paws plays with our pup until she’s exhausted! We start puppy classes soon, and I’m so excited to train our dog more. I recently lost my boy Kiba. He loved going to Stayner's. He was so excited when we came near he'd pull on the leash and try to open the door. He'd immediately run to the door that lead to the play area. They had a nickname for him; "silver fox". They were very professional and friendly and treated Kiba very well. Highly recommend.
Our 4 legged babies seemed to enjoy their stay from pictures we saw they were having fun playing and relaxing. The staff are all animal lovers and our babies came home healthy and happy!
We had to move to assisted living. Our Vet suggested that we take our Sophie to daycare so she could get her exercise. Sophie loves this place. She comes to me in the morning and whines until I load her in the car and take her to All Paws. Sophie has come a long way since she has been going there. Rachael has done a super job with her. If Sophie has any faults it's that she loves people too much.
I can't say enough about this place and especially Sandra; she is the dog whisperer! She trained our puppy and you can tell she loves her job and the pets she works with. Its amazing how much my puppy learned in a matter of only two weeks. My little Chaco loves her like his second Mom.
My Dog absolutely loves it ! She is so excited to get out of the car when we arrive! The staff is very caring and personable towards the dogs!
I have 2 very large dogs as one is an 88 lb Golden Doodle and the other is English Mastiff/St Bernard mix who is already 140 lbs at 18 months old. While not every kennel service will take these guys, All Paws didn't bat an eye! Took mastiff in for a 4 hour test before having her stay for a week long visit just to check her tolerance. My puppy did so well and was incredibly received! After the week visit they were throughly exhausted from playing but they were not desperate for my attention because they had been receiving a constant loving and care! This place is the only place we board our pups, whether 1 quick Halloween night to keep them safe or for a 1 week long vacation. The prices are great but the care is even better!
The staff at All Paws are fantastic and clearly take great care of all the animals. Our dog always comes out smiling and tired from all the play time. Great spot for overnight boarding or doggy day care. So happy to have found a good, reliable safe spot for our 4 legged family member when we are traveling and can't take him with us!! 👍
Richard has been pet sitting for our cat over the last several years. He’s absolutely dependable, competent , honest, and caring. The whole family loves Richard. He is a sole proprietor, so no need to worry about random employees coming into your house. When we come home from vacation our cat is happy and adjusted, and the house is tidy clean. You will not find a better pet sitter than Richard!
Our kitty is very social and doesn’t do well if she is left alone more than a few days. We had to go out of town and came across Richard. He very obviously adores cats and he took excellent care of our sweet girl. He sent us pictures every day we were gone. We’ll definitely use him again in the future!

I just moved to Boise and as my husband and I were planning a trip, needed to locate some excellent kitty care. Life smiled on us when Richard responded to my request for additional information. He came by twice before our trip for a good hour each time so he could understand what our two cats needed. One is 15 and takes medicine twice a day. He wanted to ensure he knew the requirements. Our trip went great with no worries. Richard let us know every other day, at our request, how everything was; he sent pictures. He made friends with our pets. I highly recommend Richard for his caring personality, responsible service provision, and his follow up after we returned. His fees are very reasonable. We will definitely ask him again! Without reservations I give him an A+!

Richard was excellent, and our cats were treated very well. My girlfriend and I left town for about a week, but our trip started off horribly. We got stuck at the airport for 10 hrs and our flight ultimately got canceled. We ended up scrambling and finding another flight the next day. During the whole process, Richard was flexible and very easy to work with. With the stress of dealing with canceled flights and changed plans, it was very nice to know that no matter what our cats would be I'm good hands. Richard is a great guy, he loves being around cats, and he will treat your cat(s) like royalty. I would certainly recommend Richard to anyone I know, and we will be calling him the next time we go out of town.

I love using Fetch! I first used them a few years ago when I needed someone to check in on my guinea pigs. More recently, I needed someone to help out with my 2 dogs on days I couldn't be home to walk them myself. To my surprise and delight, our original petsitter, Erin, was still with the company and came to have another meet & greet. My little cattle dog is very people-selective and nervous around strangers so to see him happily going on walks with her made me feel so good. It's never fun leaving my critters behind, but I'm grateful to have Fetch! to step in when I need help!
Madison was an absolute dream sitter! She was so communicative and took great care of our pugs and home! She was also an absolute lifesaver.... our flight got delayed coming home and she went back over to our house for an unexpected extra night last minute. We are so grateful to her and would absolutely book with her (and Fetch) again!
Always responsive, thorough, and attentive. I love the photos and posts with updates in the app while I'm away. My cat is content (and not "off") when I return from trips because he receives great care with Fetch, specifically Morgan!
I have absolutely loved my sitter with Fetch! Erin is so kind and helpful and attentive to my pets needs. She has been our sitter for over a year and her updates and photos of our kitty always leave us with a smile on our faces and the feeling that she really cares about our fur baby. The online scheduling system works great and I’ve always had quick responses from management when necessary. Can’t recommend enough!

Snowball has been doted on by Fetch Pet Care in Boise for almost three years. She loves sitter Morgan and Snowball's humans love being able to see photos & notes from each visit in the app. Knowing that there are back-up sitters to visit Snowball just in case something happens gives us great peace of mind. The "Quick Cats" service is a cost-effective option for pets like Snowball that benefit from some playtime and cuddles a couple times each day. Highly recommend!

We've had dog walking service from Fetch Pet Care for a couple of years now and are very pleased with the service. Becca, our walker and Jackson our German Shepard are best friends. The Fetch app and administrative tools are simple to use.
