This sit was only with Paco but oh my goodness we fell in love immediately. It took a little bit to earn his trust but chicken jerky was the magic key and he was on our laps in no time. His cuddles at night are the best…slowly inching his way up to the pillow or snuggling under the covers. He’s such a sweet little guy and is very well behaved. We feel lucky to have had the opportunity to stay with him and hope to do so again in the future. The home is very nice and in a nice neighborhood. On my morning walks I got to see SO many deer out and about. The nearest grocery store is about a 3 min drive and also easily walkable. We got to meet Nick prior to the sit and he made us feel so comfortable. Communication with both Laura and Nick during the sit was a breeze as well. We would do this sit again in a heartbeat!
I had a great week with Penelope Cruz. She is a sweet cat and we enjoyed our moments of play and cuddles. Sarah was a kind hospitable host. Her home was very comfortable and is located in a charming little city. I highly recommend this house sit and would definitely enjoy Penelope Cruz again and again.
I fell in love with Milly, and I miss her. She needs to be walked twice a day or she gets sad. The most intelligent and sensitive dog ever. Brushing, kisses, snuggles and treats are the key. Enjoy! I loved discovering Mount Ainslie with Milly - she always got me home safe. Peter and Loretta are lovely people and I felt very supported.
Sitting for Rowan and Sally was a pleasure from the start. Communication pre-sit was excellent and they offered to pick/drop me off at the bus station which was so kind (especially when due to unforeseen delays I had to get a different time and destination of bus there so a longer than planned journey). Bunty and Millsy are very low maintenance (as are the tortoises!) but we all seemed to get on well. I felt very welcome and they offered to provide me with dinner/groceries and that I could make myself at home. They made sure I had all the necessary information and that I was free to contact them whilst they were away with any questions/problems. The house is a delight for a creative person like me. Sally’s artwork is incredible and every wall/corner is a feast for the eyes. It was really kind of her too to invite me to have a play in her studio to create some artwork of my own (alas I didn’t have time but have returned home inspired!). Having such a lovely house and bedroom ensuite (which they’d put flowers, lovely toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities) was amazing and I enjoyed relaxing in the house as much as exploring West Didsbury which is a mecca for people who enjoy lovely cafes/restaurants and into Manchester on the tram which is a couple of minutes walk away. It was lovely to spend the final evening (which happened to be my birthday) with Rowan and Sally and swapping stories. Overall feel very lucky to have met them, enjoyed immensely my time in their home and without hesitation would recommend anyone to sit for them.
I loved my days with Cookie and Tipsy! I spoke with Adam and Tiffany before our sit where they broke down the area, the routines, provided options to in-person or remote hand off, and all the details of my stay. Then reiterated additional information via messaging, and the Welcome Guide. Because of their organization, and videos pertaining to certain instructions, the handover and sit were seamless. Now Tipsy and Cookie! These two work so well together, never bickering even in the slightest, which was different from most mixed homes I’ve sat for. Cookie is such a lovebug. The way he shimmies when you return from being out, when it’s time for a walk, and when you get out of bed. He loves being around you, and it shows whenever in his presence. Sometimes Tipsy demands more attention than Cookie, and Cookie just moves to the side to give Tipsy room. Truly a gentle soul. Due to his knee, you do carry him in a harness until near a grassy area. But he’s a pro, and super light, so it feels like you’re carrying a baby! Tipsy is so much more communicative, and will happily express when he wants cuddles, your attention, and when to be left alone. He’s not too shy to jump in your lap and purr, come to you for bedtime cuddles, or to nosh on Cookie’s food. As Tipsy has an automatic feeder, I tried to schedule walks and feeding to coincide with it, lessening this from happening. As their schedule was easy, and their location close to everything, I was able to explore parts of Versailles never seen, have access to a variety of food, markets, and grocers, plus be near multiple forms of transportation. Being in the back of the building, but in the middle of it all, allowed for no noise when wanting to sleep. If you’re looking to explore Paris, but not be in the middle of the snail, Tiffany and Adam have the perfect spot, with the loveliest companions. The access to the west banlieues, one of the most famous castles in the world, and the center of Paris…what more could one ask for!
Brigit is very nice and friendly girl, who helped with all advices. Rika is very cute and independent cat, with whom I had no problem to handle. She loves to walk outside and also sometimes comes to cuddle. An apartment is enough big and clean located 6 min walk by Prater park. It was very nice and comfortable to stay there. I had a great time and I will miss Rika for sure! Thank you girls 😊💖
