My (now) husband and I booked a destination wedding meaning we didn’t have family or friends at home who could look after our dog. Heidi is a nervous dog and I was really nervous leaving her as only my parents have looked after Heidi in the nine years I’ve had her. Rowena gave us one of the biggest and special wedding gifts! We were able to enjoy every minute of our wedding abroad without worrying about Heidi at home. We met with Rowena a couple of times before our wedding to introduce Heidi and her quirks, and more so that it gave me peace of mind that Heidi will be well looked after. Rowena gave us plenty of pupdates whilst we were away. Heidi looked completely content and happy - sleeping next to Rowena’s feet and playing with her toys. It’s testament to how Rowena cared for Heidi. Heidi isn’t the best meeting new people but showed she trusted Rowena. I recommend Rowena to anyone. Whilst an amazing dog sitter she’s a very kind, nurturing person. She even left milk and bread for when we arrived home from the airport. If like me, a nervous dog parent and first time using the app, Rowena will make your experience brilliant. We can’t thank her enough!!!
Gina and Anthony were truly everything you could hope for in sitters. Even though it had been months since our FaceTime interview, I could remember how kind they were on our call, and knew I would feel instantly comfortable in person – which proved to be the case. They came in early to meet up with the pup (and I found out that they had actually got there even earlier but hung in the neighborhood in order to make sure I had plenty of time to pack)! They were so thoughtful to give me plenty of time ahead of my flight and even offered to drive me to the airport. They are so respectful and caring with humans and four-legged friends. My place was kept very clean, all the plants were watered, mail was organized… it was like I had been home the whole time, but better! I think they even vacuumed and they also started all the sheets and towels laundry which was so thoughtful. They work remotely, so I’m not sure there was ever any point in time that my pup wasn’t with them. They toted him along to restaurants, parks, etc. (as I had said ahead of time he would love that)... he was so spoiled, but they also followed guidelines on where he should be, sleep etc. It was so cute, they apologized that they did let him in bed during a thunderstorm… which I do too, I had just said that in general I was trying to break him of the sleeping in bed habit… but he has a habit of sneaking in if there are storms. :) Gina provided lots of photos and videos throughout his stay without prompting, and it was clear he was having a great time and they were not just with him, but taking him on long walks, playing with his toys, etc. In fact, it was pretty clear when I returned, that he might have gone with them if I’d let him. He actually sat by the door where they left, it was so cute. I’m thrilled that I have them scheduled for a return visit in September for 11 days, and I would pick them for every future sit if possible. All around another great zeewoi experience with an especially lovely couple. Thanks Gina & Anthony! Norm misses you!!
