Evelyn stayed with our dogs over the Christmas and New Year's holidays and gave us the peace of mind we needed to enjoy our trip. Evelyn was very responsive and asked many questions in advance of the trip to be sure she was comfortable and understood what we needed from a sitter. While here, Evelyn checked in with us here and there and asked us questions about the home or our dogs as they came up. We returned to two happy dogs and a clean home. I would recommend Evelyn for future sits and she is welcome back anytime.
Kat was a great sitter. She was very communicative and provided regular updates for the sit. She followed the house guidelines and left the house in great condition. I would highly recommend and invite her to sit again in the future.
This sit was lovely and we’d happily return to sit here. Thai and Buddy are adorable, good natured, extremely well behaved and a pleasure to be with and take out for short walks. (Buddy was just a 3 month old puppy, so comments considering) Walks were only short because Buddy is still a puppy. It was hard to leave them behind - they will be missed ! Tiger is very cute and required minimal attention / work. Greg and Lou are very generous and made us feel completely at home. We stayed in their lovely en suite guest room which was very comfortable. They responded to all messages within a few minutes (usually immediately!) Their beautiful and spacious home is in the perfect rural sitting, about 11 miles outside York (a 15min drive). The dogs are happy to stay alone for a good 4 hours after a nice walk. The surrounding villages are well worth visiting and a few further afield too (Helmsey area). We’d advise you bring a car, as we feel that you’d miss out appreciably if not. Thank you, Greg and Lou !
We had an amazing time taking care of Banjo. He’s such a fun dog who loves playing with the ball and have longs walks at the park! Judy was really kind and make sure we were really comfortable at her place! She was really well organised and give us a complete introduction to banjo’s routine!
Petsitting for Martha in the South Yorkshire village of Darton was an absolute pleasure! She is a dear little cat, with a very sweet and friendly personality, and no trouble at all to look after. Martha adores being brushed and tickled, and requests this by endearingly lifting her paw out to you. She enjoyed our company as we enjoyed hers, particularly in the evening when she often joined us on the sofa. Martha’s home is very comfortable. Nigel and Elaine - her cat parents - left us a comprehensive welcome guide detailing Martha’s care and how everything worked in the house - they even provided videos of how to set the alarm and how to work the TV. They also gave us some great pointers to places to visit in the local area. Having never been to South Yorkshire before, we were really taken by the gorgeous scenery and the warmth of the people. We had some delicious meals - including some very tasty pies and gravy and of course Yorkshire pudding. And there were great places to visit, too, our favourites being the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, The National Coal Mining museum and Cannon Hall. All and all, we had a brilliant time.
Colleen is such a sweet, considerate person and I fell in love with her sweet pup Ellie in my short sit! Communication was super easy and I was able to pick up the keys from Colleen at her work. Her apartment is located in Queens, a block away from the M train, so very convenient to get into the city. Ellie is SUCH a good girl! She knows when it's time for her walks and time to be fed. She's very cuddly and it was sweet to have her next to me on the couch while I worked on my laptop. I also appreciated that she was so quiet! For a smaller dog, she is definitely not yappy and since she's a little older, she doesn't have any of the crazy puppy energy. Overall, just a chill sit in a beautiful, clean studio (love your stunning masks!) with a lovely, sweet pupper! Thank you, Colleen!
Jan and Ian interviewed us by video and we were impressed by their warmth and friendliness from the very beginning. This was their first experience of Trusted Housesitters and they were entrusting me (Mark) with the care of their first dog, Dylan a CavaPoo of 4 months and a 3 year old cat, Ofelia. The owners were very well organized not only with an excellent welcome guide but also a very well equipped home and beautiful garden that had been professionally landscaped. They even organized the best weather for me, as they left for the anirport, and it was a special joy to relax here with the pets Al fresco. Not only had Ian taken me to get my food supplies and to cut a spare set of keys, Jan had printed a local map and added useful amendments for me to get the most out of what Worthing has to offer from restaurants, pubs to places of interest. I’m retired but the internet was very good and it would be fine for those working from home here as Jan and Ian both do. I leapt at the chance to help and I’m so glad I did. Puppy Love big time! Dylan is a darling and learning that there is room for a cat in his life too! We all had fun and I would return in a shot if I were able to housesit here again. Thank you Jan and Ian. What a great 6 days! What lovely memories to cherish!
Michael had a same day cancellation because his son was sick and his trip was off. He kindly still offered to let me stay regardless. Although in the end I made other plans.
