Mandy and Steve have been amazing housesitters! From our first video call back in April and right throughout our holiday, communication has been outstandingly good. One of our cats had emergency dental surgery just a few days before we left for holiday; this was very stressful as he had to be given 2 different medications and had to be kept inside. Mandy and Steve took this in their stride and were completely unflustered by the situation, giving us the confidence to leave our cats in their care and enjoy our holiday. Mandy kept us updated with photos and videos whilst we were away; again this put our minds at rest and we were able to relax. On our return, the house was spotless and the garden had been given a Steve makeover - not a weed in sight! They had even cut the lawn. Our cats are happy and relaxed. We couldn’t have wished for better or nicer sitters and very much hope Mandy and Steve will come and housesit for us again in future. Without hesitation, we recommend Mandy and Steve as fantastic housesitters. You will be very fortunate if they are able to sit for you.

We highly recommend Bryan and Caroline as house and dog sitters. We are very grateful to them for looking after our house and especially for looking after Poppy whilst we were away. They were very reliable, flexible on timings to suit us and looked after everything for us whilst we were away. They made an instant connection with Poppy when they arrived at the house and looked after her very well during their stay, taking her on many walks, ensuring that she was well looked after and sending us regular updates of how she was getting on. We really appreciate Marta looking after Pepper, she was super trustworthy and kept us updated with pictures and videos. Pepper was well looked after and when we arrived home he was happy and content. Marta was super considerate and stripped and washed all the bedding before she left which was lovely of her, she also came over to meet us beforehand so we could show her where everything was and because we were away for 2 weeks this really helped us relax. Thanks again for everything 😻❤️

KAtie was amazing with Ziba! She came a day earlier to familiarise herself with Ziba's routine, and even got us some sweets from the UK :) Communicating with her was seamless, and she left the house very clean as well. She was very accommodating to all of our requests. We'd love to have her back soon!

Lisa and John came with their son for four days over the bank holiday weekend. They were very easy with plans beforehand and happy to fit in with our timings. They left the place spotless on our return, which was lovely and the dogs seemed very happy. Would thoroughly recommend!

Sue and Nick are a really lovely, friendly and thoughtful couple. They were superb housesitters and looked after Billy and Alfie wonderfully and the house and plants were all in perfect condition on our return. Everything was so clean and tidy and all the sheets cleaned and ironed. We had an earlier than expected arrival of some furniture from the UK whilst we were away and Sue and Nick were very kind in accommodating the unexpected late evening arrival and generously fed the men and organised a bed for the night having asked us beforehand, gave them breakfast early and then cleaned the sheets afterwards which was very kind of them. We had regular updates about the dogs and we couldn’t have been more confident entrusting everything to them. They kindly bought some Groceries for our return and Sue made some delicious scones to have with a cup of tea on our arrival which were a welcome surprise and we were very touched. We would love to invite Sue and Nick back for another sit. They are wonderful!

Smoky had a great experience with Giselle - we found her more relaxed than ever before, and possibly a little disappointed that we weren't actually Giselle, who seems to established a great bond with her. Giselle is a lovely person -- insightful, humble, sensitive, intelligent, and so attentive to our kitty's needs and our own. We loved receiving the frequent photos and videos, and appreciated the care she gave our cat and our home. She went the extra mile to meet Smoky in advance, arriving exactly on time, asking good questions, and spending a lot of time observing Smoky. We're hoping she'll be available for us in the future and that others will have the good fortune we had.

Steve was great. He took very good care of Max and kept me well informed with pictures and texts. Everything was left clean and tidy. I would highly recommend him .

We had another great experience with Andrea caring for our pets. She was kind and always kept us up to date with great videos and comments. We are happy that the pets are comfortable with her and she always manages to give our elderly dog love and compassion . Our apartment was also neat and clean when we came back. Andrea also made sure to leave us a full container of milk for our first morning at home . Thanks again Andrea!

We had a fabulous time in Merel’s home, looking after Bep - her beautiful cat! Merel was so accommodating and welcomed us into her home in person and took the time to show us around her apartment and how to use the utilities etc.
Her communication was fantastic throughout our stay - always quick to respond when we had questions. Overall we loved our time in Rotterdam and were made to feel very at home. 
Bep was a friendly and loving cat - very easy to take care of (including great instructions from Merel), and was a lovely companion to have. We miss her already! 
Would recommend to anyone to take the chance to pet-sit and house-sit for Merel :)

Yarrow

Best sit ever! Yarrow is the best host I’ve had so far on Trusted Housesitters. She made me feel welcome, checked in to make sure I had everything I needed. Her home is immaculate, beautiful and uplifting and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time here. 

Now onto Francis: the sweetest and funniest corgi! Francis loves her walks and guarding the fence and is just as happy to chill on the couch. She made me laugh everyday and was the perfect happy companion for my weekend. She’s pretty low maintenance and just an all around good girl. It was an absolute pleasure to care for her.

I had a wonderful sit @ Juliet’s in the East Village of Manhattan, NY. As a frequent sitter in NYC watching Arthur & Kit Kat was easy & enjoyable.

Arthur the bunny was curious and charming; requiring minimal care, just love and petting now and then.
KitKat was a bit shy and illusive until the last day, but not unique for a cat.

Juliet keeps a clean apartment filled with kitsch items and unique findings.

It is a 5th floor walk up so remember to bring everything with you when you go out to enjoy the city.
Juliet was very clear on instructions and reachable throughout the sit. I look forward to watching the “crew” in the future.
