My second UK housesit was excellent. Firstly Debbie and Keith were so welcoming, picking me up from the station. Their parrot Keith is so entertaining. He chatters away and whistles (I’m sure he can swear softly too). Lovely Ruby, the gentlest cat you’ll ever meet, curled up on my lap as soon as I sat down. The chickens were very easy to care for (and very pretty). Staying in a small village I met lots of friendly locals. Quiet country walks and easy access to the bus stop at the end of the street, made exploring nearby villages very easy. Debbie was always available to answer any queries. I enjoyed my stay in Debbie and Keith’s beautiful home and look forward to returning in May for another sit. It’s a lovely area to explore some of the lesser known areas of Cornwall.

I had a wonderful time hanging out with Dougal and Merlin in Cirencester! Mark communicated clearly, was super accommodating and made sure that I was set up with everything I needed. Dougal is a friendly, laid back, gentle giant - you certainly make plenty of friends walking around with him! Merlin is self-sufficient, but very sweet. Mark's place is in a great location near to anything that you might need or want. I would happily return in the future to hang out with Dougal and Merlin again!

I had a fantastic experience watching Toulouse and staying at Celine & family's lovely home! Celine was especially kind to me as I had a difficult arrival to Portland at the beginning of the stay.

Toulouse is a very sweet dog who is still full of bounding energy at 10 years old.

Milla and Adrian were the most perfect, helpful and relaxed hosts and welcomed us into their beautiful and peaceful home. We arrived the day before the sit and were given so much useful information on local, and wider interesting places to visit or to eat.
Sima is an independent and characterful cat – you certainly have to slowly gain her trust but once you do and she relaxes round you, you are rewarded. Like all cats, always on the wrong side of the door, she was happy to play in the garden all day and was in and out to check up on you and see if there were treats on the go. Super easy to look after – it was a pleasure.
Having a car here is certainly desirable, and while there are limited local amenities that are walkable, and should be supported, the opportunities increase greatly to explore this wonderful area when you are independently mobile.
I would recommend this sit to anyone who loves cats, appreciates peace and quiet and wants to explore or revisit Albania.
