This sit was awesome! Leesa and Gavin were delightful hosts, as well as such interesting people! There kitties, Claudia and Portia are so little and sweet! I was also able to take the convenient buses into Oxford City Center, which was wonderful! Thanks for a great experience!!
Barbara and Peter have a lovely comfortable home. They have 2 beautifully mannered dogs with gorgeous natures in Tilly and Peppi. We found our time there so enjoyable as we loved the dogs. We went out and about in the area and it was lovely in the village. Barbara was excellent with communication.
This is was a wonderful sit, communication with Laura was easy and friendly before, during and after my stay, I felt very welcome when I arrived and Alexsey explained everything about caring for the house clearly and thoroughly. The house is lovely with wonderful views from the top floor and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay, it was also very helpful to be able to park the car in the garage opposite the house. As previous sitters have mentioned Laura and Alexsey will introduce you to some of their friends so you don’t feel completely isolated and have someone to call on if needed. Dora is the sweetest little cat who after a few days became quite playful, she loves attention and can be quite vocal when she wants to be fussed, groomed or have a few treats. I loved how she would always come downstairs to greet me whenever I came back to the house and we spent very relaxed evenings snuggled up on the sofa. Dora was great company and very easy to care for. Mur-de-Barrez is a friendly town with a good variety of shops plus a supermarket and a weekly market with lots of local produce. The surrounding countryside is stunning and ideal for people that love the outdoors and hiking, so many beautiful trails direct from the town or a short drive away in a variety of landscapes, steep at times with the most wonderful panoramic views across the valleys and hills. There are also several beautiful towns to visit close by if you have your own transport. A super housesit with a lovely feline companion and hosts in a beautiful location, I’d love to return one day.
Lisa and Rich are the kindest humans and Chubs and Princess are the sweetest cats! Lisa and Rich were incredibly thoughtful and communicative the entire sit. Their house is so lovely and in an excellent location too; easily walkable/bikeable to lots of awesome restaurants and areas to check out. Taking care of their “beasties” :) was a joy - they just want their breakfast and dinner and some occasional pets while hanging out with you while you work or watch TV. Would happily sit for them again!
Kelly and her Partner were wonderful hosts with a lovely home. They were very kind and communicative. Sebby was a breeze to look after and I very much enjoyed spending time with him. I loved how I got to walk him on a lead when he was feeling curious to sniff around the hallway. All around amazing sit and would highly recommend !
It was an absolute pleasure to meet Uma, her daughter Elsie and I really enjoyed looking after Lucy and Pie - two very sweet and adorable doggies! I enjoyed several lovely walks with them to King’s Wood, the fields at the top of Bigadon Lane and along the river Dart. Hope to see you all again!
